02/05/2025: Ottimo cibo romano, abbiamo mangiato "la Grecia" e la "trippa alla romana" gustosissimi......gentilezza e cortesia del personale, prezzi contenuti. Consigliatissimo!

29/04/2025: Due premesse. La cucina era ottima ed è la prima recensione. Credo che il titolo sia già abbastanza esaustivo. Cronologia: ci sediamo alle 21, ci chiedono per le 21:15 cosa volessimo, 21:45 arrivano gli antipasti, 22:10 5 primi, ore 22:45 il sesto primo. Fino a qui solo un servizio lento. Entriamo nei dettagli. Gli antipasti erano una focaccia, un supplì e due crostini (IN TOTALE). Sono arrivati comunque non tutti insieme ma distanziati solamente 5 minuti gli uni dagli altri. Attendiamo pazientemente i 6 primi. Nel frattempo vedevamo i camerieri fare avanti e indietro tra i i tavoli ogni volta con 1 piatto di numero a viaggio. Ci arrivano 5 primi (BUONI), il sesto non arriva. Tanto che sospettiamo di non averlo ordinato. Chiediamo spiegazioni e ci dicono che lo stanno facendo, dubitiamo fortemente. Tutti hanno finito di mangiare e arriva il sesto primo. Nel frattempo il cameriere decide arbitrariamente di portarci via a turni bicchieri (ancora in uso) posate (ancora in uso) e piatti. Volevamo condividere il sesto primo, non avevamo più posate per poterlo mangiare. Dopo averci tolto bicchieri e posate, ci hanno chiesto se volessimo qualcos'altro. Richiesta declinata viste le tempistiche. Ah, nel frattempo dalla cucina è costantemente uscito fumo che appestava l'intera sala con un forte odore di bruciato. Purtroppo non ho le capacità descrittive per farvi capire disagio ci sia stato nel corso della cena ma è stata veramente una situazione surreale. Detto ciò piatti buoni ma prezzi alti e coperto da €2,5 a testa completamente ingiustificabile (non ci hanno servito nemmeno il pane).

16/05/2025: Find somewhere else, keep walking. Like most places they try and entice you in but after sitting down they were really trying to convince everyone that all their food is amazing and fresh, this is clearly not the case. Went with my gf and we had fillet steak and chicken. The chicken was ok but the steak was terrible. They told me it would be great and they would give me loads of sides as there was a minimum €30 charge for ordering steak. One cut was ok, the second cut was very rare when I asked for medium and tough as an old boot, definitely not fillet, rump at best. We decided to order a side of fries which were clearly very cheap and frozen, definitely not fresh. Lifeless with no taste. A family next to us were given the wrong food, then all their food came out at different times, by the time the last dish came out the first dish was finished. They were clearly not happy as we weren’t. Service felt cold and not pleasant. When it came to payment we were abruptly told to get up and pay inside. As I paid I mentioned price as I thought the food didn’t reflect the price to which there was little to no response apart from pay up. Once again very cold. Don’t go here, waste of time and money.

13/05/2025: The service is terrible, the food is not so good, but the price is high. There are many other good restaurants, so it's better not to go there. If you are Japanese, don't be fooled by the Japanese. First of all, be sure to check whether the food served as an appetizer is free. We were served lukewarm Prosecco (not tasty). We asked if it was free at the beginning, so we didn't have to pay, but looking at reviews, it seems that many people actually have to pay it. The service charge is 10% (written in small letters on the edge of the menu), and for some reason we were told that we could only pay in cash (I didn't understand what it meant, so I persisted and was able to pay by card). Also, when I ordered a bottle of wine, they were bad at opening it and the cork fell apart, and they tried to serve it as it was (they replaced it). I learned that if you keep quiet abroad, you'll end up just giving in, and you need to negotiate.

06/10/2024: Unfortunately, the restaurant with such a great atmosphere, warm-hearted owner and excellent food is no longer there.

03/10/2024: The restaurant has been closed for some time. I frequented her every time I passed through Rome. Now another name and other management. Good but for tourists

18/04/2025: Non mi sarei mai aspettata di venire a Roma e mangiare una cacio e pepe fatta così. Ci è stata portata pasta condita con olio, pecorino romano e pepe. Niente cremosita' che contraddistingue il piatto, era asciutta! Onestamente sono rimasta malissimo, aspettative deluse. Unica nota positiva gli gnocchi, si sentiva che erano fatti in casa, buoni nel gusto e nella consistenza. Prezzi onesti.

13/04/2025: Pasto deludente, attratto dalle recensioni positive decidiamo di andare in questo posto (e l’ho trattato bene…con l’appellativo “posto”) ma purtroppo abbiamo sbagliato. Il personale (soprattutto la signora anziana di sala) è stato scortese, senza fornire il Menù e facendoci fare una scelta “obbligata” , a mio pensare è inaudito a roma non saper fare la Carbonara…..però…non c’era….propinata per forza la lasagna… abbiamo optato per una gricia (sembrava pasta al burro) deludente in tutto….MAI PIÙ….sentite me, NON ANDATECI….mi dispice moltissimo per i turisti che Venendo qua penseranno che noi in Italia Siamo così….non è vero…sono loro che no. Sono ristoratori

28/01/2025: Un acqua di rubinetto una lattina di coca cola Un antipasto per due (due pezzi di salame, due pezzi di formaggio, due fette di pane e fagioli) Una carbonara, una bistecca con cicoria, una panna cotta per un totale di…. 65 euro la domanda vera è ma il menu esiste? I prezzi su che base vengono fatti? Se cercate una scuola di maghi l’avete trovata, con i numeri fa magie!

22/01/2025: Eravamo in 3 più una bambina di tre anni. Abbiamo mangiato 2 antipasti e tre primi, per la bambina abbiamo chiesto un pezzetto di carne e ci hanno portato una tagliata da 21€, 2 calici di vino + un babà da €8. Totale 116€ di cui 6€ scontati per un pelo nella mia pasta che ho lasciato. Colpo di scena finale il pos non andava e abbiamo dovuto pagare contanti e senza ricevuta. Da cancellare, non mi era mai capitato

24/04/2025: Pranzato qui causa attività da svolgere presso il Foro Italico, pasta nella media, così come l’antipasto, eccezionale la carne seppur con prezzi importanti, sicuramente il pezzo forte del locale, ci tornerei per la comodità ma sicuramente si trova di meglio anche in zona. Prezzi nella media in relazione al quartiere in cui è situata.

21/04/2025: Dinner on Easter Sunday. Very pleasant setting, careful decoration. Perfect welcome. Lots of dishes on the menu. We chose 2 pasta dishes and a pinsa (Roman pizza). We enjoyed ourselves.

06/05/2025: Sono venuta assieme ad alcuni amici e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Il personale gentilissimo e super disponibile ci ha subito accolti e fatti sentire a casa, ma una volta arrivati i piatti hanno finito per conquistarci totalmente. Carbonare ed Amatriciane a dir poco squisite, da far venire voglia di ordinare un secondo piatto. Per concludere in bellezza in occasione del compleanno del nostro amico (senza aver fatto alcuna richiesta), il proprietario ci ha offerto un bel pezzo di ottimo tiramisù con la candelina da spegnere. Torneremo assolutamente.

26/05/2025: Good quality food, maybe a little high in terms of quality/price ratio. The environment is nice and well-kept, but the lighting is poor. The service needs a bit of revision, the second course and side dishes arrived before the first course, without the right knife to cut the meat. When the second courses arrived....you can't serve the previous dish (even if kept warm), it's not the customer's mistake....he can't lose out. The first courses were plentiful and good, full of seasoning, the carbonara was very good, even the cacio e pepe even if the seasoning on the cacio e pepe was exaggerated in quantity. The desserts were good and the parking lot wasn't very big but it wasn't a problem as we arrived early. The second courses lack salt, as confirmed by them, so a salt shaker at the table by default wouldn't be bad. I will gladly return, hoping for a little more attention. Calling the service N times can be unpleasant for both the customer and the waiters....steps of a pain in the ass. (for the second course in advance, for the unsuitable knives, for the salt...). Kind and courteous staff.

13/05/2025: Disappointing experience and total rudeness I had gone to this fairly well-known restaurant in Testaccio, famous for its supposed tradition and quality. I had made a reservation the day before, clearly specifying the request for a table inside, quiet, sheltered and possibly in a corner, since I was accompanied by my ninety-year-old grandparents. Upon my arrival they asked me to wait for the other members of my group to arrive, without even welcoming me or indicating the table I had booked. Insisting on having me sit at the table, they directed me to an uncomfortable table, located in a passageway between the serving hatch and the counter where the bread was cut and the vegetables were seasoned, next to a noisy table of about twenty people, half of whom were very lively and excited children. When I asked again to change seats, since there were still other free tables in the adjacent room, the waiter rudely replied that "that one was there" and that I should have made do and, even though I had called the day before explicitly asking for a quiet table, he dismissed me without listening to me. The manager of the internal room also had the nerve to tell me that I had not actually booked and that he had not spoken to anyone on the phone. When all 4 of us sat down at the uncomfortable table, about to order, another waiter, in a sarcastic tone, commented saying: "you see, you should have sat outside like I told you at the beginning", completely ignoring the requests made at the reservation. This behavior was the final blow; not only did they treat us as if we were a nuisance but they mocked the choice of a table inside. Without having ordered anything, we got up and left, disgusted by the treatment we had received. A restaurant that has a good reputation in Rome should respect all customers, even the older ones, meeting their needs, especially if indicated at the time of booking. In this case the attitude of the waiters and the manager was nothing short of disrespectful and lacking in any hospitality. I will never return and I strongly advise against going there.

12/05/2025: We arrived by chance because the one we were going to was closed but…. INCREDIBLE! The waiter was very friendly, the food was spectacular. I make a note to return as soon as I return to Rome, exquisite pasta, delicious chicken, delicatessen dessert!

12/05/2025: We ate very well there. Quiet establishment inside. The terrace is noisier due to the restaurant's location on a street near the Vatican, so there is a lot of traffic. Given its location the prices are not exaggerated

10/05/2025: Excellent experience. Selection of superlative quality meats. The typical Roman first courses are of excellent taste and quality. The typical Roman pizza is also exceptional The prices are low and absolutely in line with the quality of the products served, and the service is friendly and attentive to the customer's needs.
