08/06/2025: Este restaurante es una joya del barrio. Si quieres una comida fantástica que esté lejos de las trampas turísticas, visita Al Viminale. Todo lo que pedimos estaba muy bien cocinado, era súper fresco, y delicioso. ¡Debo intentarlo en Roma!

01/06/2025: Pudimos reservar una mesa aquí antes de nuestra llegada a Roma, que era conveniente. El personal es amable y servicial. La comida era buena. Necesitábamos recordarles una guarnición, pero no le restó valor a la experiencia.

13/12/2025: This place lives heavily on its history and reputation, but the reality does not live up to the hype at all. My wife understands food very well, and we came expecting something special. What we got was simply not worth the price. The €80 tasting menu is extremely overpriced for what is served. Portions are very small, flavors are basic, and nothing feels refined, memorable, or exceptional. The dessert was particularly weak and disappointing. Yes, the pasta is fine, but it is far from outstanding or unique, and certainly not something that justifies the reputation or the pricing. Overall, this feels like a restaurant relying on past glory and name recognition rather than real quality today. Important to note: • €21 was automatically added to the bill as a tip, without asking or explaining. Just built in. !!! I strongly recommend avoiding the tasting menu altogether. There is really nothing here that warrants the price, the hype, or the attitude surrounding this place.

27/11/2025: Poor food, at least three days old, badly reheated, cold single-serving pasta, stuck together, savory pie with missing topping. I asked for a mushroom light and was told only an aperitif with consumption, but I was here for that purpose, so that was a very inappropriate response. I will never return.

30/11/2025: I returned years after the review below (post-Covid) and the new owners had ruined it. The most disastrous dinner of my life. If the current owners aren't the same as in 2021, then great. But I would change the name if that's the case. -- Excellent. We had the chips as a starter—homemade and delicious—and two pasta dishes. One was carbonara, which was amazing, and the other, a daily special, was homemade fettuccine with Italian bacon, zucchini, and cream cheese. The pasta was incredible, some of the best we've ever had. With dessert and drinks, it came to €20. Very affordable in Rome for such good quality and flavor. Furthermore, the service, the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes, and the decor of the restaurant were all excellent. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

03/12/2025: Dilapidated restaurant. I was there for a confirmation and I had ordered an aperitif and the food was also dilapidated....never again.

26/11/2025: Restaurant with outdoor seating in the summer and a lovely fireplace in the winter. Live music. Ample parking. Home-style cuisine. Delicious grilled meats and traditional first courses.

02/12/2025: It's great that it's in Trastevere; the area gets quite crowded at night. After dinner, you can see young people in Rome enjoying street entertainment and hanging out at cocktail bars. The fried artichokes were delicious, and the meat was delicious. The place is usually crowded with people. The waiters are polite.

12/12/2025: An experience I absolutely must repeat! We went here for lunch, and we used a Smartbox that was given to me. The staff was incredibly kind, the food was excellent and plentiful. 09/12/2025: Terrible service. The waitress was extremely rude; we had to chase her to order because after more than half an hour, she still hadn't come to take our orders. The same thing happened with the appetizers, which arrived forty minutes after we ordered (and after numerous requests), and despite our always polite requests, we were treated terribly. She brought the dishes with a huff and a huff, abruptly dumping them on a corner of the table. Even though the food was good (perhaps because we were really hungry after waiting more than an hour), the experience was terrible.

14/11/2025: We had a charcuterie board, which was very good; the mixed grill was a little less so; let's just say, not exactly their best dish. However, the place is nice, right in the center of Ariccia, and worth a visit.

28/10/2025: Calling it a wine bar is an understatement. I had the pleasure of discovering this place because some colleagues were hosting a dinner on a Friday after work. The place is very well-kept and the atmosphere is relaxing. The background music is just the right volume, allowing us to chat without having to raise our voices. The menu is varied and delicious, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Even those who, like me, have allergies or digestive issues will find an owner (and chef) who strives to find a compromise without completely changing the dish ordered. Two things worth mentioning: the owners' expertise in recommending wines and their approach to the customer, which makes each course a true treat. An evening worth repeating. Highly recommended, even for a romantic dinner.

18/12/2025: The food was okay, but the service was terrible. A man yelling at customers and other waiters made us want to leave as quickly as possible. I imagine he doesn't care about the review, just as he didn't care about the rude treatment he meted out to everyone he met. He must have plenty of customers even with that kind of service; it couldn't be in a more touristy area... Not to mention the fact that he kept pushing every customer. There's no room to walk, and it makes you feel like you're in the way. They even pushed us while we were paying... We've never seen anything like it.

18/12/2025: This restaurant is where I dined tonight, December 18, 2025. I had tagliolini with white truffle, grilled tagliata, and baked potatoes. The tagliolini were top-notch, and the tagliata was worthy of the name. Excellent!

27/07/2025: The house antipasto was excellent and plentiful, the pizza was very good, a generous size, thin and crispy, and excellent in flavor. The pappardelle with wild boar ragù was VERY good, and the service was courteous and prompt. In the summer heat, the sparkling wine on tap was definitely a welcome treat. See you soon!!!

09/06/2025: As for the experience at this place, it's definitely not one to repeat. We're only talking about the pizza we ate at this restaurant; obviously, I can't comment on anything else. The product is small, giving the immediate impression of being little more than a cheap focaccia, but for the same price as a full-sized pizza. The crust is too crusty, making it seem far removed from what one would expect from a traditional pizza. The staff is friendly.

11/08/2025: We went to this restaurant based off of the recommendations from online reviews and Anthony Bourdains travel series. THIS IS NOT the restaurant that people are recommending. While appearances on the outside are the same, the sign above the door still reads Trattoria Settimio and the website and phone number still read Trattoria Settimio, once we were sat down we realized the menu and place mats had a different restaurants name. Not till after did we see a lone review that noted that the restaurant was sold and has changed hands. Food and service was decent but it seems that they are using the likeness and reputation of the Anthony Bourdain recommendation to garner customers.

16/11/2025: There was a strong smell of smoke; they should probably install a proper exhaust hood. But that wasn't a big problem. However, ordering and paying for three mixed grills and receiving a dish that looked like a barely generous mixed grill was a big problem. In short, it wasn't generous, and that made the difference.

09/11/2025: I had been to the restaurant once in September and had a decent experience, although I was charged for a bottle of wine I hadn't consumed; I hadn't noticed this because I hadn't been given a receipt. I returned last Sunday. After booking, I found myself in a state of chaos; consequently, the food was of poor quality, having been cooked sloppily. What I found shameful was the payment process. First, the owner, or someone on his behalf, refused to give me a receipt when I complained, and replied that I was fine with it. I think you should be ashamed. I had been pleasantly surprised by the family-run business last September and had thought the failure to issue a receipt was a coincidence. Instead, it was a habit of tax evasion.

Everything we ordered was delicious; you can tell they cook with high-quality ingredients, and we were all very satisfied and eager to return.
