This is a truly wonderful place with excellent service and a great presentation of Alfredo pasta. You can tell the restaurant's history from the celebrities on the wall. It was an honor for us to sit at the table where Voldemort once ate pasta. I recommend trying the tomato plate and bruschetta bread as an antipasto. The photos are mine. Reservations are required.

We had to wait in line because we went without a reservation. It had just opened after lunchtime, and since everyone with reservations had just been seated, we waited quite a while even though we were first in line. You need to be prepared for this; you constantly wait in lines in Rome, and this can sometimes be exhausting. We went for the Alfredo pasta and tried it. It was very good, delicious in taste and presentation. Would I go again? No, but it was worth trying once. Also, while waiting in line, they offer you a tasting menu so you can get in right away. When we declined, they had to seat us for the à la carte menu. Despite the negative aspects, my overall rating is good because it was good.

I visited this restaurant eager to try authentic fettuccine Alfredo, and the experience was excellent. The pasta was perfectly buttered, creamy, delicate, and had a spectacular flavor.
The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, ideal for enjoying the experience at a leisurely pace. It was also a pleasure to watch the master pasta maker at work, who transforms the preparation of the dish into a small spectacle full of technique and tradition.
This is a place that keeps a historic recipe alive and demonstrates that quality lies in the details. Without a doubt, it's an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

It would be a great loss to come to Rome and not visit Alfredo alla Scrofa. Eating at this historic place where Fettuccine Alfredo was born is like being part of a tradition. You can feel the experience of years in every detail. With its taste, atmosphere and story, it became one of the most special stops of our Rome trip. I definitely recommend it.

During our trip in May 2026, we went to the restaurant directly opposite our accommodation at lunchtime, on the recommendation of our transfer company driver. We sat outside because it was spring and sunny, but the ambiance inside was definitely nicer. The pasta was excellent, and the white wine (Franz Haas Moscato 2024), which increased the bill, was fantastic. And of course, the artichokes too! 👍
