The food was very good and the place is cozy. What prevented us from fully enjoying it was the lack of friendliness and the comments from the staff. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so we can't blame it on the stress of the evening.

Wander through Trastevere and seek out authentic places, with no greater ambition than serving traditional, time-honored food, which is no small feat. A small, cozy spot with shared tables and a family-friendly atmosphere, where meeting and conversation take center stage. There are few tourists. This is surely because it's off the beaten path in the neighborhood's maze of shops and restaurants. The food, authentically homemade, is fantastic. The dishes change daily. The staff, all women when we visited, worked amidst laughter and spread joy. Thank you for that wonderful time.

As authentic as it gets, lovely ladies running the place, the food was hearty and good.

A must visit, enjoyed a typical Roma menu, non touristy, traditional and delicious food + wine. The atmosphere was great inside and out, buzzing with life, conversation and community, service was really great and friendly!

This was the best meal I had in Rome. The food was absolutely the most authentic Italian food I've ever had. We came late so they were limited on what we can order from the menu but the food did not disappoint. We order the braised veal, rigatoni with cheese and pepper sauce, chicory and tiramisu. Everything went very well eaten together. The tiramisu blew my mind. It was super delicate. The best tiramisu I've ever had in my life. We were lucky to get the last slice of the evening. This restaurant was established in 1954. We're so grateful to have experienced this restaurant in Italy. The food is very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants that cater to the crowd. Many locals go to this place so you know the food is amazing. A once in a lifetime opportunity to try real, family style Italian food. The family speaks English.

Let me start by saying I'm a fan of cacio e pepe, but don't eat it here. It's a huge disappointment. No creamy sauce, just a semblance of sauce, and it's made with macaroni. The Roman-style lamb was really good, although perhaps a bit overcooked... The vinaigrette wasn't bad, but were the peas canned? Overall, a good, unpretentious place. I wouldn't go back. There's definitely better in Trastevere!
