We stopped by chance; the food was good, but the service wasn't very friendly. We ordered cacio pepe and tiramisu; they charged us €7 for each tiramisu. It was good, but there are better ones in Trastevere.

I would tell you to go here only for the lamb cacciatore, but unfortunately you will be served by a person who unfortunately has a terrible sense of humor, despite the fact that the trouble we caused her was minimal (literally removing the cheese from the pasta).

Very rustic and delicious! Too bad the waitress was so annoyed and irritated when I asked to remove the cheese from the pasta (it wasn't advertised, otherwise I would have let you know first, obviously)!

A wonderful trattoria located on a charming little square. The service was incredibly fast, and the dishes were particularly generous and excellent (special mention for the pasta all'amatriciana, a real treat!). The waiters were incredibly kind, and the person who looked after us even spoke French, which was a very nice touch. Absolutely no complaints, go for it without hesitation!

Good food, fast service, and reasonable prices! Thank you! 🙏 Dinner for two, with two first courses, a side dish, and half a bottle of house wine, all for €36 in the heart of Trastevere. It's a real trattoria, so the amatriciana comes with the sauce on top to stir. It was Thursday, and the gnocchi were sold out by 9:30 pm, so if you want aesthetically pleasing dishes, go elsewhere. If you like food, go here—it's worth it!

Trattoria Nuova Stella

22/05/2026: It's wonderful to see the people who created this place still there, going strong (50 years). Their food is delicious and their service is wonderful.
21/05/2026: The place isn't the most modern or attractive at first glance, but the food and service are worth it. The prices are also very good, which is a big plus in a city so reliant on foreign tourism where they often rip you off.
