13/09/2025: I returned to this restaurant on September 12, 2025, for lunch with my daughter and wife. We tried various dishes (meatballs, zucchini flowers, amatriciana, and arrabbiata). I specifically ate the rigatoni with pajata sauce, and after about an hour I began to feel severe abdominal pain, followed by vomiting, a high fever, and diarrhea (still ongoing). Disgusting.

13/09/2025: It's either you order a 40€ menu per person or they force you to order 2 dishes per person if you don't choose a menu (starters don't count) good but expensive

22/10/2025: We came on a tour, asked for a menu, started looking at it, they immediately ran up to us, we said, "Just a second," he just took the menu, and when we wanted to ask a question, they yelled at us, and we went to neighboring cafes.

17/10/2025: Right on a side street next to Nabona Square. We came here by chance and were pleasantly surprised. Spectacular food and 10/10 service. We would definitely recommend this place.

20/09/2025: As someone else already wrote: "The food could be improved, the house wine was of poor quality. The atmosphere was nice. I didn't appreciate the value for money." Catering is a different matter.

13/10/2025: Delicious food. The restaurant's story begins just a few steps from Campo de' Fiori, in Piazza della Pace, where his great-grandfather worked as a carbonaro, a coal merchant. Meanwhile, his great-grandmother opened the first restaurant of its kind in 1912, and thus La Carbonara was born. Over 100 years of family history, now in its fourth generation.

06/11/2025: A true Roman trattoria. Excellent food, reasonable prices, a good and friendly cook, and a friendly waiter too. It's NOT fancy, and that's why I like it.

08/10/2025: I decide to try this historic Roman restaurant in Trastevere. I call in the morning and the answering machine explains that reservations must be made after 4:30 PM. However, a polite operator replies that reservations can only be made online because you need to leave your credit card details. Okay. I book without reading the terms and conditions too carefully, and the surprise arrives with the booking confirmation with this phrase: "Minimum order: Please note that a minimum order of €75.00 per person is required for all guests." I'm amazed; I've never seen this happen in any restaurant in the world. As if to say, if you come and spend, you're welcome; otherwise, you might as well stay home! I wonder why they offer an à la carte menu and not just tasting menus? But then the waiter takes orders with a calculator, or at the end of the meal they invite you to buy restaurant products if you haven't reached your budget, or worse, they add a hefty sum to your bill and charge your card? Not to mention that this provision is legally unlawful. Bad, bad, bad! Obviously, I cancelled.

15/10/2025: The atmosphere, service, and quality of the dishes are remarkable. Chef Dino has expert hands and dishes that are never boring. Highly recommended.

04/10/2025: The dish is good but 55 minutes of waiting is perhaps a bit long, I ordered the grilled squid, a single tentacle served for 22€ which seems expensive to me for not much...

05/10/2025: This is a restaurant I visited after seeing The Mouth of Truth. The carbonara is less cheese- and cream-based and tastes more like Korean seafood kalguksu (noodle soup). It feels like a traditional Roman restaurant, so if you go expecting a familiar flavor, you might feel a bit unfamiliar. Furthermore, bread and water are provided without asking, but they are charged. While this is Italian custom, it might be surprising for tourists from other regions, so it's best to ask in advance. Because this is a long-standing family-run restaurant, there are many old photos. It might be difficult for tourists to understand, but I hope the tradition continues and prospers. Gratie!

28/10/2025: After being in Naples for three days, Thai restaurant was exactly the relaxing welcome back to Rome we needed ! The wood was wonderful and the service was great. Our waitress was very kind and helpful navigating the menu!

31/10/2025: The bonuses from the website (you can see its name on the photo) honestly made my day — I decided to go out for a nice meal. The pasta turned out surprisingly tasty, generous portion, very home-style. Didn’t spend much, but got a lot of pleasure out of it.

26/10/2025: Arrived at 1:30 PM and served at 3:00 PM. Very crowded, lots of shouting, but the Amatriciana was amazing! The carbonara was delicious too... nice service!

20/10/2025: The atmosphere is beautiful, and the location is clearly excellent. The service was quite good, but the downside is the food, and obviously, since that's the reason people go there, it's a shame. The appetizer was good, a nice mix of fried and classic dishes, with beans, cured meats, and cheeses. We should have stopped there. The carbonara was loose and runny, with spaghetti that was a bit undercooked (and I like it al dente), the amatriciana was unfortunately not very traditional, and someone ordered the gricia, which wasn't great either. For a restaurant in Trastevere serving traditional Roman cuisine, getting these dishes wrong is a serious mistake. We had the post-lunch coffee, and it was frozen (in the sense of cold). In short, all in all, I wouldn't go back.

02/11/2025: Amazing food! 10 out of 10. The pizza is simply the best I've ever had. We got the signature pizza. The portions are large. The eggplant parmigiana is the best I've ever had. The mushrooms and pasta with them are delicious. The lasagna is also very good and large. The beef tartare is delicious! Yes, it's a little slow, like almost everywhere in Italy. You need to allow 2 hours.

30/10/2025: ‼️‼️Absolutely awful! Literally a tourist trap‼️‼️ The foods had no flavor and were not even close to the version they should have been! Waste of money and time! 👎🏻

20/09/2025: Average Roman restaurant, with standard menu and the typical outside seats in a narrow street with the usual cars parked around. Very close to the colosseum and easy to reach.

19/09/2025: We ordered tomato bruschetta and Napoli pizza. Very very average. Lacking flavours and taste. Veggies didn’t seem fresh at all. Don’t recommend.
