We flew into Rome and stopped here for lunch. Next to the hotel, and we are insanely hungry. They didn't really choose.
There was no armor, but we were taken to the basement. There are about 10 tables there. There were 2 occupied. We were allowed to eat at a 2-seater table, one of the ends of which was in the arch. And the chair is in the arch. I'm not a very tall person, but it was scary to hit my head. The waiter said that no one was fighting. And of course, when I left, I forgot about this arch and, getting up from the chair, I hit the back of my head with all my might. I almost lost consciousness. There was no apology. My head still hurts and I can’t sleep. Yes, it’s my own fault, I fell for it. But such seating should be prohibited, IMHO.
The food is average. Homemade pasta with picorino cheese approx. However, the insane amount of black pepper drowns out the flavor of the cheese. Pasta with lard is delicious. Lamb liver with artichoke is disgusting. Returned it. The waiter looked like he was a person who doesn’t know what lamb’s liver is... We ate even tastier ones.
The price tag is too high, in my opinion. But the place is popular... we wouldn’t go there twice.
People with disabilities will not be able to get into this establishment.

We were warmly welcomed without a reservation. The food is very authentic. Perfect carbonara, or cacio e pepe made from parmesan. Good wine and a good price-performance ratio.

A cool restaurant with really nice atmosphere, the only minus I found was that the menu was in italian and the kitchen closed at around 22:00ish or something like that… The waiter translated some things of the menu but we had 10 minutes to order because as I said the kitchen was closing soon… I had to order spaghetti and when they came, the portion was very small (but delicious) for the price of 10€, I would only visit again if I am really really hungry and every other place is closed, otherwise no.
A couple of days in Rome and we always went to Danilo's... exceptional cacio e pepe... and excellent pistachio tiramisu... the staff was quick and attentive... we can't wait to go back...

It's said to be traditional Roman style, but it's plentiful and delicious. Perhaps because we went with Italian people, there were no problems.

Welcoming environment, friendly and very helpful qualified staff. Excellent dishes, if I had to make a ranking, I would put "as Rugiati says" in third place cacio e pepe gasperino (I cannot comment on the cod), in second place half paccheri with lard and pecorino, lamb with mint and pecorino (I must say the lamb despite the really really good tomato), fried cutlets and artichokes Roman style, sour cherry ricotta with hazelnut crumble. But in undisputed first place is his majesty the Carbonara 😋 irresistible creamy with the right balance of flavor certainly given by an excellent raw material pecorino and bacon, very crunchy! Lunch was definitely worth the trip. If I ever end up in Rome again this will be a fixed stop.

Ottima cucina, carbonara veramente spaziale come da “fama”, molto bilanciata nel sapore, non eccessivamente salata come solitamente capita. Voto 10!
Ottimo carciofo e polpette all’amatriciana. Buono anche il tiramisù.
Prezzi alti come ormai ovunque.
Il personale con noi è stato cortese!

Più Lazio che Roma alle pareti (e questo non va affatto bene), ma carbonara molto molto buona. Buono anche l'antipasto, dolce così così. Conto un po' alto, secondo me.
