03/05/2025: BAD. 25 PEOPLE, DINNER WITH COLLEAGUES, PROPOSED US A MENU WITH: APPETIZER (BAD) 2 TASTINGS OF FIRST COURSES (SCOTTA CHEESE AND PEPPER AND RAW CARBONARA) PASSABLE MEATBALLS AND ALSO BAKED POTATOES COFFEE INCLUDED IN THE MENU BUT NOT RECEIVED (BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY HAD CLOSED THE COFFEE MACHINE AT 11.40 PM SAYING THEY WOULD CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT) SERVICE WAS REALLY DISTURBING, I HAVE NO OTHER WORDS TO DEFINE IT, IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DIDN'T TAKE IT. WHAT I SAY, IT TAKES VERY LITTLE TO MAKE DINERS HAPPY AND I'M SAYING THIS AS A FORMER RESTAURANTE. YOU SIMPLY LOST 25 PEOPLE. ALL DISHAPPY WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. 01/05/2025: The food is amazing, delicious first courses! The Cacio e pepe is creamed in the cheese wheel in front of the table. Very generous portions. Avoid having large tables because it is small and there are buildings outside that could complain about the noise. They clean the coffee machine about forty minutes before closing, so order coffees in time otherwise you will be told that it is already clean and cannot be turned on again. The car park adjacent to the restaurant contains around 20 cars, on the other side of the main road there is another more spacious one but be careful of the cars whizzing by on the street

28/05/2025: Un ristorante accogliente che offre una buona varietà di piatti per lo più romani. Piatti buoni e saporiti, con un servizio gentile ed efficiente. Il conto forse un poco alto.

27/05/2025: Welcoming place and friendly staff. Unfortunately the dishes disappointed me a bit: gricia with dried artichokes, hard to chew and therefore not very pleasant to the palate. Too bad because the gricia itself was good. The cheesecake with the sponge cake bottom is not visible.

06/04/2025: Abito vicino alla Piccola Amatrice e ogni occasione è buona per concedermi una coccola da loro! Locale intimo e atmosfera familiare.. Mirko , il titolare, è il perfetto Oste : ti mette a tuo agio facendoti sentire a casa, simpatico ma sempre educato e discreto. Il menù offre la vera cucina tradizionale romana, piatti saporiti ed abbondanti. Assolutamente da provare la loro amatriciana: spettacolare.

04/04/2025: I was in this restaurant last night for the first time and I must say that it was a very pleasant discovery! Welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and above all excellent food. Traditional dishes cooked with care and fresh ingredients. I particularly appreciated the amatriciana. Excellent value for money, especially considering the generosity of the portions and the quality of the food. I will definitely come back. Advise !

08/04/2025: Dispiace valutare male il lavoro altrui ma per quanto è costato il pranzo non è valsa assolutamente la pena. Piatti non buoni , porzioni (soprattutto dei bambini molto piccole) , servizio al tavolo poco professionale , bagni sporchi e sguarniti di carta igienica e sapone già alle 13 e giardino esterno non curato. Non ci tornerei.

06/04/2025: If you love cod, this is your temple. The place is welcoming, perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a Sunday lunch with the family. Having said that, even those who aren't crazy about cod will find valid alternatives including a pasta with bottarga and space tuna together with traditional first courses

26/05/2025: I note other excellent reviews but sadly cannot agree. La Matriciana looks great and the service has an old fashioned grace but the food was truly disappointing. My starter of fried egg with shavings of black truffle, ordered as a treat to myself was a perfectly decent egg but the generous amount of truffle was dry and virtually without scent or flavour. Euro 20 is a lot to pay for a fried egg .. One friend had over-cooked scallops whilst the other left half her soup since it had so little flavour and was not worth the effort. As my main course I opted for oxtail in a tomato sauce. The sauce was really good but only one of the chunks of tail was edible. The rest was so tough I couldn't eat it. My friend did complain about her risotto con gamberi e crema. This again was a flavourless concoction topped with the dry skeleton of a gambero. The waiter graciously replaced it with a spaghetti dish which tasted ok (hard to go wrong with a lot of parmesan), but was SO al dente as to be truly unpleasant. We had high hopes of this traditional looking restaurant and felt really sorry for the very professional waiters having to serve what turned out to be very poor, overpriced food. The food in Italy has been otherwise excellent this trip, and we are reasonable cooks who are not unknowledgeable or overly critical and really do not ike to complain, but this was a very bad meal for all three of us it became plain that very few, if any, Italians were dining there....

20/05/2025: Recommended by a Roman friend, I trust it for an important dinner. Rude atmosphere, tired waiters, terrible food, in the sense that the ravioli with mortadella filling were overcooked and salty, the Mazara prawns on the menu were two, microscopic and perhaps from Carrefour. Non-existent presentation of the dishes. For a first course at €22, forget it. Heard from the waiters that the Palermo chef wasn't there either, an injustice to Roman gastronomy! Child at the cash register watching the match on his cell phone.
