27/03/2025: Nos encantó este lugar. Visitamos dos veces durante nuestra visita más resentida a Roma. Es un acogedor lugar dirigido por la familia. La comida es genial y el servicio fue espectacular. Todo lo que probamos fue excelente.

07/09/2025: How do I describe this restaurant? Maybe, local flavors leveled up. I appreciate an Italian restaurant willing to give it a twist! Classic fiori di zucca, nicely cooked, not too oily, well combined flavors. No firsts, straight to seconds although we will return to try the ravioli stuffed with tongue! Instead, we tried polpette and messicana della picchiapò. The polpette were breaded and pan-fried which was unexpected but not bad. The flavors were there, but a bit dry. I wished for a little bit of red sauce or a special house sauce?? The picchiapò was fantastic. Very flavorful and I'd say "off the beaten path" for Roman cuisine. We also had oven-baked porcini mushrooms which were top for us! And cicoria, always a win. Dessert was our least favorite, the best option being a soft cake with lemon curd. But a good coffee cleared our pallets. Service was exceptional, the owner was very thorough and friendly. Okay timing. The wine choices are interesting, many bio as indicated in other reviews, but they match nicely with the food. Overall we are satisfied and recommend. And we will be back, we want to try more! The baccala sounds amazing and we love that they often change the menu (for seasonal freshness). This little town is adorable and this little osteria is a local gem.

10/08/2025: I read some positive reviews and we relied on it... which I must say is disappointing... the menu was poor, only organic wines, rightly so for those who like it it may be fine, but not for everyone though... we ordered a mixed fried food on the menu it said for 2 people but in reality it arrived with a very hard dark brown breading, and a piece of each thing in total 8 pieces which would be for one person, you couldn't taste any flavor only fried breadcrumbs... we ordered since there wasn't a lot of choice, organic white wine, brought from the refrigerator to the table the owner told us that we had to wait to put it on ice because in his opinion it was fine like that... first of all I'll start by saying that everyone has their own preferences, I like it nice and cold... we ordered 2 first courses and the spaghetti with anchovy sauce was soaked in lemon in fact you could only taste lemon... poor service... the owner is as nice as judgement day... they want to make sophisticated cuisine but unfortunately it is not their professional door... I won't be back...

01/09/2025: Authentic Roman osteria in the heart of Garbatella. The food is typical of Roman tradition. The restaurant is also very authentic. The veranda with outdoor seating is a plus. The carbonara and the sausages with broccoli are very good. Good value. If you like home-style, flavorful cuisine, this is the place for you!

19/07/2025: A great place to eat. It's hard to tell from the outside, but inside it's well-organized and clean. There are no menus, but the waiter tells you the details. There are no surprises on the bill at the end. The prices are fair, actually competitive. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos because I was busy eating.

21/07/2025: We showed up here on recommendation from our hotel Romanico Palace which is a few blocks away. We had no reservations as we were a little on the late side returning from a long day trip. They welcomed us in, treated us like family and served us a fantastic dinner! Food was delicious, house wine was excellent and the service was wonderful. Make a reservation and go to this one if you're close by!

09/08/2025: Very expensive! It's a jewelry store! Only tourists and bourgeois people can go and visit. We walked the whole way around, then bought a loaf of bread, which was very good. For the rest, crazy prices everywhere, on everything from A to Z, from fruit to wine, from meat to soap. Avoid it. And to think that it was founded by Farnetti, a great left-wing manager, products that are in harmony with the earth, but unfortunately not compatible with our poor people's wallets. In my opinion, they could even turn it into public housing. I'll take care of buying eco-friendly and good products, I know really capable producers, with fantastic and delicious products at sustainable prices.

06/09/2025: NOT a good experience! Cacio e pepe, full of oil like the rest. Carbonara "frittata." Strips of Danish pastry were tough, overcooked, and without even a leaf of lettuce to serve! Raw steaks were so greasy they were unbelievable. What a treat Gina made! Il Matriciano!

20/05/2025: Piacevole scoperta in un quartiere ancora vivibile e poco conosciuto. Locale molto spazioso con ampio spazio esterno. Atmosfera vivace e familiare da osteria di quartiere. Personale amichevole e spontaneo. Cibo curato e di buona qualità. Sicuramente ci tornerò in una prossima sera d’estate.

29/08/2025: Excellent osteria in the center of Rome, a very cute place with super friendly staff and fast, perfect service. The quality of the food is excellent; it's the first and, I believe, only place in the center of Rome that serves proper Roman cuisine. I found the guanciale crispy in the gricia and carbonara. A 10/10 value for money.

29/08/2025: I went to Hostaria Isidoro with my girlfriend, after walking around near Colosseum, we were tired so it felt like finally a good stop. I had carbonara, it was rich creamy, maybe a bit too salty or maybe it was just the pecorino too strong but anyway I liked it, filling enough, not heavy, I kept mixing it because pasta was sticking a bit. She got pizza, thin crust hot from oven, cheese and tomato just right, nothing fancy but tasted real good. Inside atmosphere cozy rustic, people talking loud, laughing, I lost track of our own talk sometimes but that’s okay, felt more local than touristic. Service was kind of slow at start or maybe just me being hungry, but then waiter explained some dishes, friendly guy, shirt a bit wrinkled but whatever, didn’t rush us. Prices not cheap, close to attractions so I guess normal, I keep saying it was fair enough even if I’m not 100% sure. We left happy, thinking maybe we come back, or maybe not, depends how crowded next time.

12/08/2025: We went there by chance because we were looking for a quick dinner. It's a nice place but nothing special. The food is good—a special mention goes to the meatballs in tomato sauce. The service is friendly and fairly quick. The price is a bit high; when I hear "osteria," I think of a somewhat basic place with generous portions and reasonable prices. Here, the place is small but well-prepared, and the food is decently portioned. But when you start charging me €3 for two pieces of bread, I change my perspective from "osteria" to "restaurant." In conclusion, if you go, be careful about what you order, because you risk paying more than if you go for fish.

27/07/2025: A true Roman osteria! Traditional dishes, prepared according to tradition. The owner knows how to welcome and pamper guests as only true innkeepers can! Luckily, she's passed this love of hospitality on to her children, so this tradition will endure.

23/08/2025: We ate pizza at the restaurant. The pizza base had a bit too much yeast, but everything else was fresh and tasty. The fried foods and supplì were also very good. The service was impeccable, especially Lavinia, a very sweet, kind, and helpful young woman. The place is charming. There's a large parking lot underneath the restaurant where you can leave your car.
