29/05/2025: If you happen to be in Valmontone around lunchtime, don't miss out on stopping at Trattoria Elena. I've been there a couple of times, with a local colleague, who brought me here specifically to try the traditional dishes. The place is simple, a classic trattoria on the hill, but if you find the right day, having lunch outside under the portico is one of those things that is priceless. If you decide to come here, I can tell you that both times I focused on the first courses, and I was very satisfied. The carbonara is one of the best dishes they cook. The simplicity of the place, with the friendliness of the staff, make you feel welcomed like at home. Highly recommended!

29/05/2025: Found this place by chance on the web. We had dinner here a few weeks ago and were very satisfied. Great food, excellent quality, larger portions than usual. Price appropriate for what we ate. Limited parking, few places compared to the capacity of the place (but maybe I'm wrong and I didn't realize if you could park elsewhere, ask for info when you book). Absolutely recommended.

21/05/2025: Anyone interested in studying not only antiquities but also Roman cuisine should stop by here. The artichoke (culinarily associated with Rome like nowhere else) is prepared here in a magnificent way and in a variety of ways (recommendation: artichokes three ways). I haven't tasted anything of similar quality anywhere else in Rome. They also serve a good house wine, and the food feels reasonably priced—away from the touristy establishments.

23/05/2025: STAY AWAY! My family and I had placed a reservation for this place months prior since we really wanted to experience that authentic experience of Roman cuisine. According to guides we found, this place has both the history and the taste to back up its claim of being the go-to spot to really immerse yourself in ancient Roman cultures. Towards the end of our day exploring Rome, we decided to make it to the restaurant a couple of minutes before our reservation since we were really eager and hungry to try their food. While waiting outside, the manager (who we figured out to be Simone) waltzed outside and started banging the chairs, blaming us for messing with the chairs outside. Now we are from the Philippines and really love to travel around the world. Luckily enough, we seldomly are victims of racism in the countries we visit; hence, this would have been the last place we thought we would have experienced this type of behavior. Especially since this place has so much reputation to hold onto being such a historical landmark. After the altercation, we still decided to eat at the restaurant since we already booked a reservation and pre-ordered our meals (we didn’t want to be rude, unlike them 😆). However, as time went on, we were treated with so much disrespect! As the same manager tended to all of the other guests (who were indeed the same skin color as him), he treated us and another table like so poorly like he had to just do it since his grandfather was watching. Eventually, the grandfather caught on to what he was doing and decided to change places with him in serving us. Food-wise, everything was too salty that we ordered more drinks every time a dish went out (maybe that is how they earn 😂). Their pasta was also undercooked, and I strongly implore to run away from their carbonara (it was too salty). We were confused to see other customers really having a good time, but surely enough I’ve also seen similar reviews before that depict a similar story to us, just because we aren’t locals 🥲. I really had high hopes for this restaurant, but please run away as soon as you can! 0️⃣/5️⃣

24/05/2025: This restaurant has been a sure thing for us for a long time now, it is a guarantee of excellent food and excellent service. Last night we celebrated our wedding with our family and dearest friends and we couldn't have made a better choice. The veranda was beautiful with lots of candles on the tables and the menu left everyone amazed. Excellent! Thank you so much guys!

14/05/2025: I came here because it was near my accommodation and it was delicious. I ate the carbonara and amatriciana pasta, which are representative pastas of Rome.

18/05/2025: Good pizza, excellent supplì and the sweet discovery of the cod bites. The boy who served us was very nice. The only flaw: the room where we were a little too noisy. It must be said that on a Saturday night with all the seats full it can happen.... we will return!!

15/05/2025: This place has some of the best pasta I have ever had. Its not even close. The cacio e pepe is unbelievable, and the all'amatriciana was amazing. The prices were pretty good too, we paid about €15 per person. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was very authentic. I cannot recommend this place highly enough

10/05/2025: True roman restoraunt. Italian shef, service is exellent, food is tipical alla romagniola. 5min from San Pietro Basilica. If you want to eat quality roman food, with very authentic ingredients, this is the place.

27/05/2025: Grande delusione. Lista con troppe cose, già non buon segno in genere. Una pinsa insignificante, una calamarata buona, ravioli ricotta e spinaci affogati nel pomodoro, lasciati in buona parte. Altri primi senza infamia e senza lode. Una, presunta, crema catalana servita al piatto come tre quenelle con zucchero caramellato sopra, fredde... Conto fuori dalla logica, 31€ a testa per un primo e un dessert dimenticabili

22/05/2025: Siamo tornati dal Focolare per cena. Atmosfera sempre la stessa, molto accogliente e personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo gustato Insalata di mare quale antipasto, spigola al forno e seppie con carciofi per secondo e per finire le fragole con zabaione, vera specialità della casa e preparata come sempre direttamente dal proprietario. Tutto molto buono e gustoso. Questa volta però qualcosa non ha funzionato sui tempi, benché il ristorante non fosse pieno, entrando alle 20:15, siamo usciti dopo più di due ore con soste troppo lunghe tra una portata e l'altra. Prezzo circa €60 a testa

15/05/2025: Nine years ago, we dined at La Vecchia Frasca for the first time, and recently decided to return — we’re so glad we did! From the antipasti to the desserts, every dish was homemade and full of authentic flavor. The meal was perfectly complemented by local Frascati wine, for which the town is rightly famous. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the prices remain just as reasonable as they were nearly a decade ago. La Vecchia Frasca continues to be a wonderful choice for a delicious and traditional lunch or dinner in Frascati. Highly recommended!

09/05/2025: The food is good. Very bad attention from the blonde girl. The other brunette girl was much kinder. But the truth is we don't feel comfortable with the attention. It seemed like they treated us differently just because we were tourists.

14/05/2025: This is not the first time I have been to this restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is ok. However, on my last visit, I had to witness an unpleasant scene that should never, ever happen in front of customers. Screams, shouts, etc. from one waiter towards another and the owners did not intervene. Episodes like this inevitably drive customers away.

17/05/2025: Incredible EVERYTHING! Wonderful seafood, meats, and pasta dishes - all out of this world. I have to acknowledge the service staff was warm and exceptionally welcoming - easily accommodating our many questions on the possible selections.

18/05/2025: Rome is a large and busy city bustling with hungry tourists who jam pack the trendy restaurants. Ai Fienaroli is a hidden neighborhood restaurant tourist miss. The charm, great food and wines, and neighborly atmosphere made it easily our favorite restaurant in Rome.

10/05/2025: Typically Roman trattoria. Low location but friendly and friendly staff. Excellent and plentiful cuisine with medium-low prices. The only flaw is that the customers are used to chatting loudly, but it is part of the typical folklore of the Torpignattara district. Try the pizzas and especially the cacio e pepe!
