Il Focolare in Monteverde is an institution!!!! You can't miss dining at least once with Mr. Roberto, who has continued a tradition and excellent cuisine born from his father! Highly recommended!

The food quality is excellent, the menu is varied, and the zabaglione is amazing, freshly made and served right at your table. The meat is excellent. Prices are moderately high. Definitely worth it.

Recommended by a friend, it was almost perfect. We only had the first courses, which were excellently cooked and had a wonderful blend of flavors. Highly recommended. We'll be back to try the other first courses.

This excellent historic restaurant in Monteverde Vecchio, Rome, has a family atmosphere, is well-attended, and serves high-quality Roman cuisine. The meat, fish, and pizza are excellent, and the first courses are interesting. They also make a superb paella, paired with a nice glass of sangria. As for desserts (all homemade), I can only recommend the hot zabaglione, made fresh in front of you in a copper pan, to serve with wild strawberries.

Wonderful place! Recommended by a lovely Roman woman named Francesca. Mr. Roberto and his team are excellent! The food is divine... and the dessert made at the table is spectacular!

Everything was perfect, the fish was very fresh and the plating was always original, with interesting little details such as octopus with potatoes accompanied by lamb's lettuce seasoned with ginger and balsamic vinegar... the waiter was friendly and professional.

A highly regarded restaurant in MonteVerde. Wonderful meat. Delicious breaded anchovies and an exquisite orange panna cotta. Extensive menu. A sure bet. It doesn't disappoint. Excellent. Very friendly. Special mention for our Egyptian waiter. A 10 out of 10.

07/08/2026: Service was a little slow, but today is a special day, with many company tables being on holiday, so that's understandable. Good food.
06/08/2026: The food is very good and typical of Rome, and I think the prices are reasonable for the portions and quality. I highly recommend the pasta alla Amatriciana 🫶🏻 I first tried it four years ago and I still love it!
