You eat well in Rome, and this is no exception. 🏠Location 7/10 The exterior is a classic little village restaurant in Rome's historic center, but inside it's a bit more original and has a more trattoria-like feel. The place I ate was a hidden interior room, essentially their cellar, evocative and intimate at the same time. 🍝Menu 9/10 There isn't a single dish that isn't reminiscent of Roman cuisine; everything is simply exquisite! As a Roman (and a purist), I can only compliment the cuisine; the dishes are beautifully crafted and delicious. The wine list is the envy of the Bible; you'll definitely find a bottle that pairs deliciously with your meal. 👨🏻‍💼Service 8/10 Attentive, pragmatic, friendly. Basically, the trifecta of desires when you're served. The waiters' experience is evident, and their presence is not at all intrusive. 📜Country 6/10 We're in the center of Rome, and that alone should put any vain attempt to save money at bay. However, the quality/price ratio is more than adequate, considering the dishes are well-prepared and the overall experience is well worth it. In conclusion, I recommend it primarily because it's not a tourist trap, but also, and obviously, because the food is excellent. For those who want to enjoy a truly Roman dinner after finishing their tour of the most beautiful city in the world at Piazza di Spagna, all they need to do is walk down Via dei Condotti to this magical and legendary place.

Matricianella manages to preserve the soul of Roman cuisine in a central area often dominated by tourist traps. Prices are slightly higher than those of a trattoria on the outskirts, but they're absolutely justified by the quality of the ingredients and the location.

The carbonara was the best I've ever had without exaggeration. Good service. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Satisfied as hell.

Food was very nice and the wine list comprehensive. Service was quite slow in general, we had a booking and waited ages at the door (where there was no room to wait and everything was quite disorganised). They did let locals in first who came in the line after us. What saved the service was our lovely waiter who was a super friendly and helpful young man from cuba. He made the experience really nice and was funny too. One of the other waiters made some racially charged comments about him which made us a little uncomfortable.

Great restaurant with great food, very comprehensive wine menu our waiter, a young man from Cuba was absolutely incredible and very efficient. Made our experience an absolute joy by being incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the other waiters made a weird comment to our server about his country of origin that made us uncomfortable which was strange as the man serving us was clearly better at his job.

The food was very good, nothing more.

Got served antipasti, pasta and meat dish all at the same time, which I thought was quite bizarre thing to happen in Italy. The food was ok unlike many other people complimented (I’ve been to Italy 5 times and tried hundreds of Italian dishes). If this is typical Roman cuisine, I don’t think I enjoy Italian food anymore. The service was very rushy and hectic, which was still bearable. Impressive wine selection though.
