Excellent dinner on August 5th. Very good service, however, fans and misting systems would have been appreciated outdoors in case of high temperatures.

The fried dishes were absolutely delicious. The sweetbreads and lamb brain were especially well executed, the combination worked beautifully and really highlighted the different textures of each ingredient. The fettuccine with chicken liver pâté was also very good, with the texture of the pasta spot on. The chicken liver added another layer of richness, almost like an extra layer of cheese, which I really enjoyed. That said, I felt it could have been incorporated into the sauce a little more; perhaps a slightly richer and more concentrated sauce would bring the whole dish together even better. The wine list is exceptionally extensive, with a fantastic selection to choose from. Overall, a very enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

A very good Italian restaurant, far from the tourist traps. The food is authentic and generous, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money for lunch in Rome.

We went for lunch and had a wonderful meal. The fried artichokes were exceptional. Some of us had the first courses, which they thought were excellent; I chose the fillet steak, which was tender and flavorful. The owner was very kind and welcomed us with great courtesy and generous portions. We'll gladly return.

I had lunch at La Matricianella and had a truly excellent experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and typically Roman, perfect for those who want to enjoy traditional cuisine in a family-friendly setting. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients, and you can taste the care taken in their preparation: the pasta was excellent and the flavors authentic. The service was also impeccable, with friendly, helpful staff who were always attentive to their guests' needs. I will definitely be back!

09/06/2026: As a foodie from Romagna, I really appreciated this typical, family-run restaurant, which is very quaint. There were two of us for lunch, and even though we hadn't booked, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We especially appreciated the expertise and helpfulness of the waiter, Cristiano. We had a mixed antipasto for two—what can I say? Tasty and plentiful, followed by two tonnarelli all'amatriciana—impeccable! So much so, given the generous portions, that we were already full. Another positive note: the house wine is delicious. The ingredients are high-quality, and the dishes are served with a smile. I also found the bill to be absolutely fair. I highly recommend anyone in Marino to go to Fratone.
02/06/2026: EXCELLENT. I'm pregnant and wanted to order pasta carbonara, and when I asked about the egg, the chef came out to explain everything and told me he would make it especially for me. The waiters were fantastic; they brought my husband a glass of their wine to try, and it was delicious. The appetizers we ordered were amazing, the main course was excellent, and the service was even better, without a doubt. A 100% recommended place, truly authentic, and if you're lucky, you can get a seat on the terrace and enjoy an incredible view of the area. If I'm ever back in the area, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.
