21/05/2025: We were in Rome for a week staying close by to this restaurant and noticed it was fairly busy late evening on the first night we arrived so we thought we would give it a try the next night. We were not disappointed, we experienced great service by all the waiters, great food, a relaxed atmosphere and it was reasonable priced so we went every evening of our stay trying different pasta dishes and pizzas on the menu! In the evening there would be a slow trickle of customers both Italians and visitors then they just kept on coming filling the restaurant which we felt reassured by but it didn't feel as if it was busy or become excessively noisy as both inside tables and outside covered tables were being used, some were even being reserved! Definitely recommend!! Two large Peroni, Cheers!!

18/05/2025: Posto accogliente posizione vicino al teatro Brancaccio e a Santa Maria Magggiore, personale gentile e disponibile a ogni richiesta, menù completo, cibo buono e abbondante... Unico difetto abbiamo dovuto aspettare un po' troppo.

19/05/2025: Si mangia sempre bene e il locale è accogliente ma sabato scorso il servizio non è stato un gran che: tre camerieri diversi a servirci; errore nei tempi di uscita delle portate (mi hanno servito, contemporaneamente, il primo e il secondo!!); nervosismo di un cameriere (un ragazzo giovane) di fronte alle nostre lamentele; distrazione nel servizio: il pane non arrivava, mi sono dovuto alzare per andare a chiederlo.. Insomma, così così.. Anche se i piatti sono sempre ottimi.

25/04/2025: It has become our reference "fraschetta" after trying several, we live not very far from Ariccia, and at the time I release the review it will be the fourth or fifth time we have come to eat in this place. I tried it recommended by a friend and since then we have never changed, every time we want to try the typical food of castles and fraschette we come to the Osteria del Borgo. We usually take all the mixed appetizers they offer and whoever we brought always liked their cuisine. Don't forget to ask for the porchetta and the couples. They often have the dish of the day, ask the waiter who assists you. I tasted practically all the typical local first courses, but carbonara, amatriciana, cacio and pepe docet. Importantly, I get up from the table full but never weighed down beyond what is necessary, probably synonymous with good food. The place is pleasant and welcoming, it is possible to eat both outdoors and indoors, there are chairs, which are much more comfortable than the classic benches, it is quite large considering the limited spaces typical of fraschette so you don't get too crowded. In summary, I recommend trying it if you pass through these parts. Note on the back, to whom it may concern, Skysport is broadcast.

23/04/2025: TOP. sono celiaca e incinta, una combo difficile da gestire per ovvie ragioni ma devo dire, con immensa sorpresa che ho trovato in Diego una persona molto preparata e sincera. Ci ha detto sin da subito che sono molto attenti ma non sono aic e non hanno una cucina solo per celiaci. Abbiamo mangiato BENISSIMO. Per il senza glutine, la miglior amatriciana della vita. Piatto abbondante e buonissimo. Mio marito ha preso pasta alla carbonara buonissima a suo dire. Abbiamo condiviso poi trippa molto buona, un super piatto di porchetta e cicoria ripassata. Tutto davvero buonissimo. Ritorneremo. Consiglio a tutti e soprattutto a celiaci come me. Non ve ne pentirete. 😊

13/05/2025: We went to this restaurant because we were looking for a place to eat good Roman dishes, we ate supplì for appetizers and they were excellent, the carbonara was not the best I have ever eaten; good for sure, but for 13€ it is not worth it, for the saltimbocca the same thing, too much wine and too liquid sauce, considering the 16€ I would have expected more. Excellent service, however, very warm and friendly, same goes for the rustic but well-kept environment.

11/05/2025: We are always delicate with the starter :) Picchiapò, Roman-style artichokes and fried flowers all delicious. This time a special pasta as a first course, asparagus carbonara, amazing!!! always a pleasure to visit!

03/05/2025: We had a super good time. It was a spontaneous pick but the food was suuuper good. And the service was the best I ever experienced anywhere. Very attentive and polite waiters, super friendly and funny. Would recommend.

02/05/2025: We’ve all had carbonara before and it’s normally pretty nice but believe me good people that this carbonara is absolutely like nothing you’ve had before. It is superb! The place itself is in a very touristy area, just up from the Trevi Fountain and is unsurprisingly very busy, but this restaurant is busy not because of its location but its quality of food, service and ambience. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

31/05/2025: Cena veloce dopo un Day Hospital al Babin Gesu’ . Trovato questa trattoria , piccola accogliente il titolare proprio uno de noi sembrava un amico più che il titolare .! Cibo tutto rigorosamente romano , menù impresso nella Lavagna tutto eccezionale R rapporto qualità prezzo che t’ho dico a fa’ . Ci ha pure offerto i dolci . Che bella coccola dooo una giornata in ospedale !

20/05/2025: I went here last year after a recommendation from a friend, absolutely incredible food and treatment - even better, my family just went to Rome just now and I gifted them a meal at Giulio's, and it's their favourite memory of eating in all of Italy - the food is glorious and the staff is welcoming, funny and warm. Unmissable spot!

16/05/2025: era ora! finalmente un posto dove sentirsi a casa! e non lo dico solo per l'accoglienza dei titolari o l'attento servizio del personale. lo dico anche perché nei diversi giorni ho mangiato davvero bene. persino le bruschette erano da leccarsi le dita e vi lascio immaginare i primi che, appena finivi di fare la scarpetta nel piatto, ti veniva da parlare romanesco!!!! e non voglio dimenticare di menzionare l'ottima scelta di carni cotte (ma anche al sangue) su un braciere che è tutto un programma! grazie, grazie, grazie. 24/05/2025: For dinner with friends and colleagues we stopped at this tavern in the San Paolo district in a very quiet street with practically no traffic. I wasn't very hungry and so I limited myself to just a first course, a carbonara, falling once again into the temptation to taste the must of Roman cuisine. All very good, from the quality of the pasta to that of the other ingredients. The place is essential, the service is really friendly, the cooking is a little slow and the prices are average, almost competitive.
