17/04/2025: It has little of a tavern. Family restaurant with good food and service provided by the owners. Romanesque but light food. If the location is crowded it is a bit noisy. Excellent prices. A few € below average.

17/04/2025: We were the only guests and were treated very courteously at first. As primo we had gnocchi, which was good. The waitress recommended it to us as one portion for both of us, but this was then ignored in the kitchen. I got the main course together with the starter, the steak was tough and dry, my wife's main course was forgotten and had to be reordered. You couldn't bite the veal schnitzel, it was so tough. In the kitchen there was still gossip about the Germans They thought we didn't understand. We left hungry with a bill of almost 70 euros.

10/03/2025: I've been going for years, for lunch or dinner, and I've always eaten (and drank) very well, spoiled for choice because each dish is better than the next. The place is very nice and warm. The staff is very kind and helpful.

23/02/2025: Delizioso ristorantino sito a Grottaferrata non lontano dal corso principale. Poco distante anche un piccolo ma comodo parcheggio a pagamento causa strisce blu. La Location presenta due sale: una più grande e una più piccolina ma molto gradevole. L'ambiente è rustico ma grazioso. Il servizio cortese, gentile, disponibile. Menù accattivante: gli antipasti sono svariati e tutti invitanti; anche I secondi alla brace devo dire che sono notevoli anche perché il ristorante si chiama "Mangia fuoco" ; per ultimi metterei I primi secondo me meno interessanti anche se noi ne abbiamo presi due. Devo segnalare le pizzelle fritte con alici e puntarelle davvero visionarie; la grigliata Mangiafuoco è spettacolare ; e infine il gelato alla brace fatto da una sfera di cioccolato ripiena di gelato con all'interno amarena: qui abbiamo raggiunto l'apice della degustazione. Prodotti di qualità trattati benissimo. I carciofi fritti messi sulla pasta sono paradisiaci. Rapporto qualità e prezzo ottimale. Poi la cosa bella è che esci e per smaltire le calorie fai due passi per il centro di Grottaferrata fino alla Basilica di San Nilo che vale la pena vedere. Giornata bella, soleggiata e aria pulita. Cosa desiderare di più dalla vita!

07/05/2025: Good fraschetta. Average but nothing that will make you come back. Too scattered. More touristy than anything else. Too many distractions and waiting in the orders. Tiramisu too much cream.

19/05/2025: As lovers of good food, we were looking for a characteristic place that would let us taste the real Roman cuisine, and here we found it. Everything we ordered was excellent: a taste of oxtail stew and tripe, puntarelle and a palette of first courses. Everything was delicious! The idea of ​​offering tastings of all the dishes so that you can try more dishes was excellent. Suggestive atmosphere, kind and attentive service. The price is perhaps a little high but it is really worth it, you can taste the quality in the dishes. We will definitely be back.

19/05/2025: Super disappointing. The amatriciana was way too acidic and lacked depth in the flavors. The tasting sides are a great idea but I didn't like any of the sides - we tried pork and beans, chicory, and egg frittata.

21/04/2025: All Instagram and no roast. After a meal consisting of a starter, first course, second course, side dish and dessert we had to go to McDonald's. Absurd prices for tasting portions. Never again

21/04/2025: Fantastic place surrounded by nature with the possibility of relaxing after lunch on the picnic tables with towel and cushions. We were welcomed by the very kind owner who recommended us some typically Roman cuisine dishes revisited in an innovative way which really amazed us. Local wine list highly recommended. Attentive and impeccable service. A day in the hills to remember...

10/05/2025: Really nice place in Testaccio, right in front of Monte de' Cocci... the menu offers Roman and other dishes prepared with great care. There were 4 of us and we tried 5 of the appetizers on the menu... but we would have liked to try them all. Potato and provola soup cooked to perfection and the ajo, oil and chilli pepper with exceptional red prawn... we had to stop because we were full but we will be back soon to try everything else. Truly a wonderful surprise.... I would say HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

18/05/2025: Nous avons passé 4 jours à Rome et cela a été indéniablement le meilleur restaurant où nous avons mangé. Menu exclusivement en italien sans traduction en anglais, preuve qu’il s’agit d’un vrai restau de quartier typique et local. Et cela s’est confirmé dans l’assiette. Les pâtes carbonara étaient sans hésitation les meilleures de ma vie. Entrée, boulettes d’épinards et sesame sur une crème de pomme de terre: succulent et original. Le serveur parlait français, très gentil et particulièrement attentionné avec nous. Et pour le tout, c’était vraiment peu cher par rapport aux autres restaus, à Rome ou ailleurs N’hésitez pas, il vaut tous les restaurants à touristes en plein de cœur de la ville, une expérience culinaire à vivre au moins une fois en venant à Rome.

16/04/2025: I chose Roman tripe, and the other person chose artichokes with veal. My guts were a poetry of taste. Soft, in tomato sauce with (I think) pecorino romano. Spicy, but not too much, so that you can feel all the flavors. Additionally, home-made white wine of quite decent quality, went perfectly with both dishes. Veal is also tasty, and artichokes? There's a lot to like here. We will definitely come back here, especially since the service was top notch. PS. We were probably the only non-Italians in a full room. It is worth making a reservation in advance.

06/05/2025: LOVED IT!!!!The place its so cozy and the food is GREAT.I loved it and I was very happy I had my last night in Rome in this restaurant.I had a delicios lasagna and a reinterpretation of a gulaș.I loved it so much!Definitely coming back

24/05/2025: It was close to the Airbnb where I was staying, so I decided to drop by. It's a restaurant further back down a back alley. There were a few groups in line, but the turnover was fast and we were able to get in easily. We had antipasto, primo, and secondo! All the food was delicious, and the staff were all friendly in the morning. I really felt that the taste of the food can change depending on the service. We stayed in Rome for four nights, but it was a restaurant that made me want to go back again. Three bottles of wine for my husband and I was overdoing it! We got some takeaway. 🤣

24/05/2025: The food was delicious - we ordered the beef filet with gorgonzola sauce, amatriciana pasta and deep fried zucchini flowers. Food came out within 10-15 mins and our server, Manuel, was an absolute legend. Hilarious and capable, he made the entire experience so much better and so much more memorable! We literally hugged him at the end of the night haha. What a great time, I can’t recommend enough!
