29/11/2025: The signature shrimp was delicious, completely different from what I've had in Taiwan, and definitely worth trying. The seafood noodles were also very much to my liking, and the owner was friendly with a great overall atmosphere.

04/12/2025: I ordered a biodynamic white wine, Malvasia di Candia, listed for €22. On the nose, I immediately detected a distinct acetic aroma, which was confirmed by the taste. I then asked the waiter to taste the wine himself to assess the flaw. After tasting, I was told that the flavor was normal for a biodynamic wine, that it was exactly what it should have, and that perhaps I was unfamiliar with biodynamic wines. That's not the case: it was a 2022 vintage, and three years is already too long for a Malvasia, especially for a biodynamic wine that doesn't benefit from the antibacterial protection provided by sulfites. Ultimately, it was a wine ruined by a distinct acetic note. It's not my style to embarrass my wife and ruin a meal over an argument: I ordered another wine and paid for both. But I won't be returning to this restaurant. Regarding the restaurant owner's response, I'd like to point out that the waiter absolutely didn't offer to replace it with another bottle, as is usual in these situations, nor to remove it from the bill; he simply brought me a cork, telling me that "you can take it home, since you paid for it." Never before has that happened in my life! I forgot to mention it because I didn't want to be cruel. Obviously, I declined the "offer," telling him to take it away, which he did. For the sake of truth...

08/11/2025: A lovely place with a beautiful view. Fast and attentive service. The dishes were very well prepared and delicious. Returning for dinner, I confirmed the attention to detail in the dishes and the choice of ingredients. The desserts were also delicious.

29/11/2025: We spent three days in Rome. This place had the best oxtail stew with a homemade sauce. The service was friendly and fast. Highly recommended.

18/11/2025: Osteria Ar 65 is a quiet spot near the Vatican. We discovered it by chance, just steps from our accommodation, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is simple yet refined, with stone walls and brick ceilings that lend a rustic, welcoming feel. The staff is young and friendly, and the kitchen offers traditional Roman dishes prepared with homemade methods. The artichoke fettuccine, meatballs, and sautéed chicory were among our favorites. The house red wine was also good. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, authentic experience, away from the more touristy locales. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Rome.

15/12/2025: A truly delightful experience. I came for breakfast and ordered eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and Nutella pancakes. I couldn't choose a favorite because they were all delicious. The music was pleasant and at a moderate volume. The service was excellent, and the price was great. I 100% recommend this place! 🫶🏻

12/12/2025: Buffoni: takeout order canceled at the scheduled delivery time, 45 minutes after the order was scheduled to be delivered, which was actually an hour and a quarter late, around midnight when all other available locations were about to close. Never again, I don't recommend.

08/12/2025: The supplì are delicious, the staff is terrible, they seem to be doing you a favor. The owner doesn't even respond to the greeting. Learn some manners and teach your employee how to work instead of squashing the supplì, because you'll have to remake them and lose money. P.S. Once the order is completed, the receipt must be returned to the customer, that's what the Guardia di Finanza says.

01/12/2025: I've been frequenting this place for a while now, mostly for work, though I've had the pleasure of bringing friends here. It's a very family-friendly place. The owner is a charming character who entertains guests, ensuring a relaxed and cheerful evening. The food is good quality, and the handmade pasta is truly delicious. The classic bruschetta and meat dishes with classic chicory are equally as delicious.

25/11/2025: Very nice service, good food and attention. Despite the crowded place, they immediately set a table for the two of us, the waiter was nice and explained a lot about the dishes. We left completely satisfied.

02/12/2025: I visited Osteria del Gallo, located on a quiet side street near the center of Rome, and I must say I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. It's one of those places that don't make a fuss, but welcome you with a simple, almost family-like warmth. The atmosphere is intimate, refined without being pretentious, and it immediately gave me the feeling of entering a true Roman osteria. As soon as I sat down, I realized that the cuisine here is taken seriously. I ordered a traditional first course and received a dish that smelled of Rome: just the right portions, intense yet balanced flavors, and nothing overdone. The carbonara was just the right amount of creaminess, and the cacio e pepe had that authentic roughness I always look for. For my second course, I tried the meat, simple but well-cooked, with ingredients that tasted fresh and authentic. The service was one of the most pleasant aspects: the staff were kind, smiling, and very helpful without ever being intrusive. They made me feel at home, as if I were a regular. The timing is also a plus: everything is served slowly, but without any unnerving waits. There are, however, a few things to be aware of. The restaurant isn't large, so reservations are recommended, especially in the evening. Furthermore, as is often the case with downtown trattorias, the prices aren't exactly cheap: they're not excessive, but some items (especially wine and other beverages) can be a bit steep. Despite this, I found the overall quality-price ratio to be fair. I also noticed that some customers complained about the quality fluctuating on certain days: I was fine with that, but I'll point it out. All in all, I ate well at Osteria del Gallo and had a great time. It's a sincere place, with Roman cuisine prepared as it should be and a welcome that makes you want to return. If you're looking for an authentic place, far from the usual tourist restaurants, this is a place I'd happily recommend. --- If you'd like, I can make it shorter, more ironic, or more "poetic."

09/11/2025: A historic restaurant in the historic center, just steps from the Bramante Cloister, the typical setting of an ancient inn. The menu features both traditional meat and fish specialties. The selection of typical Apulian cheeses is a must-try (the owner is a friendly man of Apulian origins, and we also recommend consulting him for wine selection). The menu is varied, featuring excellent, fresh ingredients. Excellent value.

Be warned: the menu is different from what you see on the website (as are the prices), so you'll find a much more interesting selection in person. The service, however, is a bit slow and not particularly welcoming.

16/12/2025: The place is a bit small, with tables quite close together. Reservations are recommended to avoid the risk of being booked out. As for the food, nothing to complain about!! Roman cuisine! Excellent appetizers and excellent first courses as well. I'll definitely be back!!

The restaurant has been pleasantly renovated in a Rustico Urbano style, and the welcome is always warm and professional. In short, it's perfect for a casual evening with friends or a more formal dinner—you decide. It's a safe bet!
