​ Stepping inside feels like a throwback in time—the interior features classic wood-paneled walls, simple red chairs, and traditional checkered tablecloths that give it a very casual, family-run neighborhood vibe ​The menu focuses heavily on classic, hearty Roman pasta dishes, and they definitely do not skimp on portion sizes or flavor: The Carbonara and Amatriciana (served with perfectly al dente bombolotti pasta) were rich, savory, and loaded with crispy guanciale and plenty of pecorino cheese. ​The absolute highlight of the meal was the Tonnarelli al cacio e pepe con burrata pugliese. It is a brilliant, indulgent twist on the classic—the creaminess of the giant, fresh burrata on top perfectly balances the sharp black pepper and salty pecorino kick of the pasta ​The service is straightforward, no-nonsense, and fast. It is a very casual "what you see is what you get" kind of place. Prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you receive. ​Why 4 stars instead of 5? The atmosphere is extremely rustic and a bit dated, which might not be everyone's cup of tea if you are looking for a romantic or modern ambiance. Also, seating can feel a little cramped when it gets busy. ​Overall, if your priority is delicious, authentic Roman pasta at an honest price, this historic spot is highly recommended!

It's a simple restaurant offering excellent traditional Roman cuisine. Generous portions, minimal table settings, and fast, friendly service. The atmosphere is very informal and family-friendly. The staff is courteous and welcoming. Seating is available both inside, in a refrigerated dining room, and outside. A decent selection of hot and cold dishes is also available at the counter, for those in a hurry. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent.

This is still one of those authentic Roman places that doesn't lapse into folklore but maintains the values ​​of good cuisine in a simple yet authentic setting. Excellent food, with a special mention for the carbonara, certainly among the best in Rome. Portions that to call generous would be an understatement, and very fair prices! Unfortunately, I don't live nearby, but every time I'm in the area, I find an excuse to stop here. Open only for lunch, except Friday evenings and a few other exceptions. Reservations are highly recommended. Another kudos to the basic but attentive service.
