05/10/2025: Very nice place, very friendly staff, always available to satisfy all guests' requests. Excellent food, accompanied by excellent drinks and cocktails.

28/09/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) Terrible experience. Last night we came to this restaurant as a group to eat meat, and since that night we've all had severe gastrointestinal problems: nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. I don't know if the problem was in the cooking or storage of the food, but the result was truly unpleasant. A quality and safety check of the products would be essential: we won't be returning, and we can't recommend this place to others.

Excellent selection of self-service dishes, with takeout and lunch options available in a small adjacent room or on the front patio. Located not far from the city center and easily accessible on foot.

08/08/2025: A place discovered by chance. The atmosphere was clean, and the self-service station exuded a sense of cleanliness. The space for eating was organized, and a delicious fish entree for just €6 was a dream in 2025. A good selection of dishes.

12/10/2025: Don't be fooled by the number of reviews, like I was :) You don't have many options for food, I came specifically for the pasta. The place requires reservations, we went in without because there were only 2 of us, but it's not worth the wait or the disappointment of not having a seat. Overall, in my opinion it's a very overrated place. Popular doesn't mean good.

12/10/2025: Worst panna cotta of my life, and I’ve had a lot of panna cotta. I’ve also never been ignored for so long while sitting at the table. Left feeling incredibly dissatisfied despite a steak that was cooked perfectly.

06/10/2025: Yes, I'd like to go there sometime, it looks incredibly cool, wouldn't you believe what's hidden behind these grey walls? My cousin said the boss is a real Indian, I have to go and see, the outside area is very quaint and will surely attract a lot of people, after all, they serve Bira as Spina, so beer on tap, I've been told, I don't know exactly, but I'd like to go there sometime, it's nice that there's still a pub, and at the train station too, that will make people very happy.

08/09/2025: We had lunch here by chance, without knowing it, and I have to say we really enjoyed it. It's a quiet place surrounded by nature. The food was excellent and of good quality. My son, who is celiac, was treated to a real breaded cutlet and French fries, which is not a given! I highly recommend it!

06/09/2025: I honestly don't recommend it: the place is nice, but the prices aren't given, the menu isn't on paper, and the waitress doesn't have to tell you online either, the coffee is served in a paper cup, not a mug, the ice cream is frozen when you order it, and it needs at least 20 minutes to warm up, the food is good, but not up to the price they charge. If four people have to pay €130 for a house menu that's not even complete, then it's better to stay home, where you'll probably eat even better.

04/10/2025: The San Biagio Restaurant in Matera is a true gem. The elegant and welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful paintings themed around Matera, creating a unique atmosphere. The view of the Sassi from the outdoor area is simply breathtaking, perfect for an unforgettable dinner. The menu offers refined and delicious dishes. We started with exceptional appetizers: a fresh tuna and squid carpaccio, the typical and flavorful cruschi peppers, and artfully seared tuna on a delicate fava bean puree. For our first course, the risotto was a true delight: creamy, with saffron, shrimp, licorice, and a touch of caviar. Next, fish... the turbot with mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, light, and flavorful. To round things off, we tried a mille-feuille with Chantilly cream and berries, a dessert that capped off this culinary experience perfectly. The service was incredibly fast, impeccable, and professional, always attentive and courteous. If you're looking for a place to eat well and enjoy a wonderful view of Matera, Ristorante San Biagio is the ideal choice.

05/10/2025: I returned after a long time. The place was packed (practically full), but despite that, the service was quick and attentive. We started with a quick selection of appetizers, all of which were very good, tasty, and delicate. Then we had two more starters, appetizers... excellent, and for the main course, a sea bass cooked in salt, incredibly fresh and tender. Then, the perfect finale: sorbet and desserts. The drinks were top-notch. A top rating, we'll definitely be back, but very soon.

24/09/2025: I never expected to find a place like this in Melfi... a beautiful location, modern but tasteful furnishings... even the exterior is decidedly beautiful and unique... dishes are well-prepared and "designed", the girl in the dining room is very friendly and knowledgeable and endowed with innate class, as is the gentleman, I imagine the owner... excellent quality/price ratio... in short, a very pleasant surprise... don't miss it...

08/09/2025: An ideal place for a quick meal without sacrificing quality, both in service and food. Professional and helpful staff, and a friendly and welcoming owner. The fried flowers with mozzarella and anchovies are delicious, while the spaghetti with mussels and green beans is flavorful and plentiful. If you're passing through or staying in Policoro, it's definitely a must-try.

28/08/2025: We went to Iris on a trip to the Anzi observatory. The staff made us feel welcome and served us drinks before opening time so that we were comfortable. Food was great. Highly recommend if you are heading up to the observatory to stop here for a bite first.
