19/05/2024: We had dinner at Zio Nini last night, and we enjoyed the welcome, the setting, the tempting menu and the delicious dishes so much... that we went back there at midday. It’s good, it’s fresh, it’s local, at reasonable prices… We love it ☺️

The dessert was truly delicious.....we will return with friends, because this region must be visited and then....we also know where to have lunch! 07/06/2024: The attention to detail, the attention of the staff and the study of the cuisine undoubtedly lead to the VikyAnn. Not the usual restaurant but a continually growing project, with innovation and attention to customers. The kitchen offers dishes designed and executed to perfection with particular combinations that, once tried, you will struggle to forget. We opted for a fish menu, proposed by the owner Anna, who made everyone agree. Trio of marinated dishes including swordfish with berries and poppy seeds, dry marinated tuna with jam and sunflower seeds, sautéed squid on chickpea cream with sage and crispy bacon. This is just a portion of the appetizers we ate. It's really worth it to pop into Grottole and eat at VikyAnn also for the value for money. Among the best restaurants in the area, I recommend you try it!

30/06/2024: Un posticino in mezzo ai Sassi dove ci si sente a casa come quando si viene invitati a pranzo da familiari. Abbiamo preso ziti al forno, polpette al sugo e friggitelli e sembrava di mangiare dalla nonna: buonissimo, casareccio e abbondante con ingredienti a km0 che provengono dai terreni dei proprietari. Eè vero che cibi sono preparati prima e riscaldati prima di essere consumati ma il locale nasce come cantina (anzi, brunch bar) non certo come ristorante stellato.

16/06/2024: Beautiful setting, little tables outside but don’t be fooled. Inside many more tables. The most adorable waitresses, very attentive and a big plus for us was that they spoke English. I know we should know more phrases in Italian, our bad. The pasta I found too al dente for me but maybe that is how they cook it here. Lovely experience overall and highly recommend.

22/07/2024: Location spaziale e servizio ottimo all'interno di una tipica grotta. Molto carina anche la possibilità di vedere filmati di Matera a fine cena o tra una portata e l'altra. Cibo tipico e di qualità molto buono.

22/07/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante in occasione di una notte passata a Matera. Il posto è molto carino e curato con anche un piccolo cortiletto all’ingresso del locale con 4-5 tavoli. Ottimo il servizio con personale cortese e disponibile. Ottima la qualità e la preparazione dei piatti. Alla fine in due abbiamo preso un antipasto, due primi, un secondo, un dolce, due caffè, un amaro e una bottiglia di Primitivo (molto buono) e abbiamo speso 105 euro. In considerazione della qualità generale dei piatti e della bottiglia giudico il prezzo speso più che onesto. Degna di nota la Parmigiana di melanzane (davvero fatta bene) e il gelato artigianale fatto da loro (anche questo davvero speciale). Lo consiglio. Da provare.

01/07/2024: VdR: "Vi devo Raccontare" di questa mia esperienza...durante un pranzo in famiglia a Matera. Subito fuori dal centro storico (dai sassi per intenderci), abbiamo trovato questo localino che dall'esterno è abbastanza anonimo ma che all'interno è davvero gradevole. Si sceglie il tavolo, si ordina da bere e per i piatti forti ci si dirige al banco dove vi aspetta una persona molto cortese, disposta a spiegarvi i dettagli delle varie portate. Non troverete i soliti piatti, ma vere e proprie chicche locali. Abbiamo mangiato in 4 e pagato alla fine il giusto prezzo. Ci ritornerò di sicuro al prossimo giro a Matera.
