27/09/2025: A superb experience at Ferro e Fuoco! Delicious meat, with a menu that respects the local area and embraces innovation! The staff is truly friendly, with a special mention for Luisa, whose return has brought the restaurant's usual cheerful atmosphere back! I'll be back soon.

24/09/2025: We asked if we could have a glass of wine and were seated at a table near the entrance. The place was fairly busy. We waited about fifteen minutes, and no waiter, despite passing by our table several times right at the entrance, stopped to take our order or interacted with us. So we decided to leave without anyone saying anything. Not recommended due to the service.

10/06/2025: I'm from Matera but I've lived outside for many years. I emphasize this because going to Anna's means tasting the TRUE FLAVORS OF LUCAN. Out of this world lasagna, broad beans and chicory, orecchiette turnip tops, fried breadcrumbs and crusco. Braciole, sausages and so on and so forth. It's all stratospheric! Well done and kind ❤️

07/09/2025: Excellent pizza, but the service could be improved, especially on weekends. We arrived at 8:30 PM, and they immediately seated us, but then forgot about us until 10:10 PM, when they finally came by to take our orders. We didn't complain, but, by way of excuse, they told us we were lucky since we hadn't booked! We were speechless, because the place wasn't busy. This is also demonstrated by the fact that our orders arrived quite early, after about half an hour, when we had already given up hope of eating anything... Our kids, exhausted from the wait, left most of their pizza. What a shame! I hope it was just a bad night.

06/10/2025: I just got back from dinner at this Osteria. First of all, the bruschetta was very good, the only redeeming feature along with the atmosphere. The lasagna was a disgrace; it was four tapas with no filling, a small piece of meat, two salami pieces, and nothing else... And it's not cheap. The dessert was flavorless and very poor quality. Honestly, if I were to return to Matera, this place is not recommended.

26/08/2025: I couldn't help but leave a review for this place: absolutely recommended if you're in the area. The food was excellent; we had a few appetizers (leek cream soup, truffle egg, and giardiniera), all truly exceptional, and a first course (both excellent). The waitress was super attentive, kind, and very helpful. I also recommend it to anyone (like me) who is lactose intolerant and/or vegetarian: there are several options, and you'll enjoy your meal to the fullest, without any problems. Absolutely top marks!

We were treated very superficially, and when we asked the untrained staff for clarification, no one gave us any explanations. Pay attention to what's written on the menu and what they serve you.

27/09/2025: We came to this restaurant/trattoria on the recommendation of some friends in Maratea. It's an unpretentious location. They offer a set menu that includes drinks, and it's not bad at all. The staff are friendly, if sometimes pushy, and the ingredients are good. The prices are average. An experience worth having.

25/07/2025: Locale caratteristico del centro, scavato nella roccia, personale molto gentile e professionale ... il menù presenta i piatti tipici della tradizione lucana con una buona attenzione alla presentazione degli stessi, degni di nota gli strascinati al peperone crusco con crema di ricotta e pomodoro, così come il crostino stracciatella acciughe e peperone crusco, buona anche la tagliata rucola e grana cotta alla brace... conto giusto, consigliato!

The food was good, but nothing that particularly impressed me. The numerous positive reviews on Google created unrealistic expectations for the experience. I wouldn't return.

06/10/2025: It's worth deviating a bit from the main road for the best panini we've had in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the tiramisu made by the owner is one of the best we've had in the region. Definitely a place worth recommending :)
