01/05/2025: We stayed for three nights in this beautiful property but the strong point is the owner whose name unfortunately I don't remember and Mr. Valentino, they are two exceptional people in ways and deeds, they pampered us and advised us as true hosts know how to do. A big thank you to them, I highly recommend going to this beautiful structure, it deserves and deserves a visit to the town of Stigliano🔝

My note is for the "selection of revisited traditional appetizers" i.e. 4 mini courses indecent in taste and in relation to the price. Absolutely not recommended!!

08/04/2025: Let me start by saying that I gave 5 stars because more cannot be given and any comment from me would be superfluous. We went for lunch and chose the "dialect" tasting menu, a true delicacy, each dish paired with local products; unique and different dishes from the usual. The owner who is also the chef is an extraordinary person, as well as being a good Chef he is very cultured. He explained the contents and its history to us dish by dish, even going as far as the history of the peoples who preceded us and who brought cultures and customs to our territories. It was a pleasure to listen to Mr.'s stories. Federico inherent to his dishes and the territory, his ideas, we need more people like Mr. Federico. I remember his words "ours is a fantastic territory full of raw materials, we just need to know how to exploit them".
Furthermore, from the restaurant you can admire the peaks of the Pollino, today they were also whitewashed and when observing them you could smell the oak wood burning in the fireplaces. I highly recommend trying this experience.

La Baita is a welcoming, warm and perfect structure for those seeking relaxation and authenticity. The family atmosphere is perceived from the first moment, also thanks to the kindness and helpfulness of the managers.
But the real strong point are the dishes, prepared with love and skill according to local tradition. The portions are generous and the flavor takes you back in time, like a Sunday family lunch. From cured meats to cheeses, through homemade pasta and local meats, each dish is a genuine and satisfying experience.
A place where you feel at home, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape and the scents of authentic cuisine.
Highly recommended for those looking for real flavors and a regenerating break.
To return, without a doubt.

Superlative food served with great skill and professionalism, the availability of everyone from the managers to the waiters who made us feel special ☺️, thoughtfulness and attention to even the smallest details. Stunning setting surrounded by a wonderful forest.

It is rare to find such a balance between warmth, moderation and goodness.
