22/07/2025: Non capita spesso che aprano solo per te una sala ristorante e ti facciano sentire a casa come ha fatto Giusi, sommelier dell'olio, proponendoti piatti locali e piatti che utilizzano prodotti locali fantasticamente rielaborati. Abbiamo preso le inebrianti tagliatelle al pesto di olive e mandorle (prima di essere degustate, vanno apprezzate all'olfatto), un ottimo roast beef, una commovente torta "fatta in casa" con crema e more e siamo rimasti a chiacchierare sul terrazzo che affaccia sui tetti del centro storico di Colobraro come vecchi amici con Giusi e il suo staff sorseggiando liquore al bergamotto. Grazie dell'esperienza Giusi, grazie per la visita al Museo dell'olio, con la promessa di rivederci presto.

29/07/2025: A faultless restaurant, which borders on excellence. Impeccable cuisine; I recommend the Black Pork, cooked for over 20 hours, tender and lightly caramelized. Excellent wine list, with quality vintages that pair well with the dishes. Impeccable service, with a server who greets you in French. But above all, you dine overlooking a magnificent view that will leave you with an unforgettable memory of Mattera Illuminated. In short, everything is there; this restaurant could be French, it's so tasty. The only downside is that the portion sizes are quite close to those of a gourmet restaurant, and so are the prices; avoid going if you have hungry teenagers...

04/06/2025: Da tempo volevo andare in questa perla della Basilicata..amici mi avevano raccontato che I sapori veri dei Briganti li avrei trovati in questo ottimo e accogliente agriturismo e Braceria degne di questo nome, davvero tanti i piatti con prodotti direttamente dall’azienda del sig. Giovanni, dall’allevamento, alla lavorazione e cottura per poi servire a tavola in un atmosfera curata negli arredi e nel servizio attento e cortese. Ci siamo sentiti accompagnati nel calore e fragore di una mandria sulle “ vie della transumanza “, che fermandosi al bivacco, assaporano il gusto e la genuinità di tanto sacrificio del cammino. Si accendono i fuochi e il girarrosto risuona nei canti di un tempo ritrovato..prima di andare vi consiglio acquistare dei loro prodotti d’eccellenza dal Caciocavallo Podolico ( che spero d’impiccare molto presto ), i salumi tipici da allevamenti della loro fattoria e insaccati ( ovviamente senza additivi e conservanti)..a un Pecorino dal profumo d’erbe di montagna..e che vuoi di più dalla Vita..!!!!Grazie ancora ancora al sig. Giovanni e a sua figlia Enza per la splendida accoglienza. Ritorneremo presto a trovarvi..

16/07/2025: This place is absolutely fantastic. The food is unbelievable, eat your pizza somewhere else. The pasta here is unbelievable!!!! The team of 3-4 including the chef and waitress are relentless. They are very friendly and will go out of their way to make it the experience you desire. I can say with confidence that this is one of the best places for a proper Italian dish.

I’ll answer: all of the above plus exceptionally friendly, generous, thoughtful, and kind service. The kind that makes you feel like you are truly a valued patron. The whole experience was so memorable for me. If I ever find myself in Matera again, I’ll be back here. PS. Order the cheese and fruit entree; it is divine in both flavour and presentation.

22/07/2025: A beautiful restaurant with even more beautiful views of Matera when you walk over to the stairs. Wow! Very nice and attentive staff. The food was great and the menu offered many options. Probably my best meal in Mayera. Reservations are recommended. We were lucky to be there when a musical group marched through.

02/08/2025: La formula è particolare (degustazione con scelta piatti al pomeriggio) ma assolutamente sensata. Il menù risulta essere un bellissimo e gustosissimo viaggio sensoriale. Porzioni sensate per assaporare ma non sovraccaricare, materia prima di grande qualità, maestria nell'esecuzione e nella presentazione.

Unparalleled value for money. Service is more than excellent. A welcoming atmosphere, without excess or showiness (sobriety is so difficult these days, which—oh dear—is the quintessence of elegance).

23/06/2025: Didn’t even try the food, I believe it’s good no doubt. But the atmosphere from the waiters, to be specific the tall skinny dude with glasses. That dude got mad because I lifted my hand when I called him, and asked him to come so I can ask him face to face something about the menu. He didn’t came even tho he looked at me, and crossed our table couple of times. No response, then the other waiter came a girl and was nice. But me and my girl didn’t like the emptiness inside and weird energy we got so we got up and left. Didn’t order anything, just looked at the menu for 10/15min inside. Then when we got up to leave. That dude, called up on me while we were leaving and said stuff like, where are you going, you looked at the menu outside, why did you even sit. Then when I started explaining myself with literally one sentence. He interrupted me and said why do you lift your hand when you call me. Bro like mind your business … then he started to be even louder and told me people are waiting outside to sit inside. Just to clarify the room we were inside had 4 more tables with nobody sitting, also other rooms with free tables. Outside the restaurant maybe 8/12 people were waiting, but they were waiting to sit outside… Id very much like that dude to mind his own business and act like a waiter who needs to sell the italian story and be polite. I hope the owner reeds this.

21/06/2025: It was the jazz music that drew us into this restaurant. And it was a great idea! The interior is cozy, with a few tables, and the staff is adorable. We can't even mention the menu. We LOVED IT! A truffle pasta dish—how can I put it? Delicious! One of the best Parmigiano cheeses we've ever eaten. That's saying something. Everything is refined, flavorful, and delicate. We finished with a deconstructed but incredible Canolo (Sicilian dessert). In short, a wonderful evening 😋
