16/11/2025: Very nice place, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The dishes are varied and delicious—not spectacular, but good. I wish I could have given it 4.5 stars instead of 5 because I think the prices are excessive, but I've noticed that they've become so pretty much everywhere in Matera.

15/11/2025: Tierra is one of those places that stays in your heart. The restaurant is meticulously designed, with an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff is exceptionally kind, always attentive and smiling. Special thanks go to Roberta, who runs this wonderful restaurant with passion and professionalism along with her partner Domenico. Domenico's cuisine is simply out of this world: authentic, refined dishes prepared with a care rarely found elsewhere. We've visited many restaurants, but the quality and authenticity of the flavors found at Tierra are truly unique. Between this place and a Michelin-starred restaurant... honestly, I wouldn't notice the difference. An excellent experience in every way. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable gastronomic journey in Matera.

14/12/2025: It would have been funny to give a low rating, just to avoid being banal. Pino and Mimmo's welcome is worthy of a 5-star hotel. You leave home to go HOME. The raw ingredients in the dishes are excellent and the cleanliness of the hotel is so high that you could eat on the floor. At breakfast, a very affectionate lady serves you and makes sure everything went well. We've been coming here for years every time we visit my aunt :) and we have to go back for the peperone cruscooooo

25/11/2025: Personally, the experience was exceptional. The excellent restaurant-pizzeria's quality dishes, a good selection of bottled beers, both commercial and craft, and a well-stocked wine cellar. The bar was well-stocked and functional. The rooms were spotless and well-appointed. The breakfasts were top-notch, with excellent croissants, savory options, quality juices, jams, honey, and freshly baked cakes. What more could I say? Friendliness, warmth, and professionalism? Absolutely! Highly recommended! We'll be back very soon. 💯

19/01/2026: A stroll to discover the Lucanian villages, always rich in history and tradition. Looking for a place to taste typical dishes, we found ourselves in a family-run restaurant. A father, a mother, and Stefano, in love with their land and their business, delighted us with simple dishes yet rich in passion, history, flavors, and traditions. 07/01/2026: Highly recommended!!! We went a few nights ago with our dog, and I have to say it was a real treat. The food was exceptional and authentic, made with top-quality local products. Kudos to the owner and all the staff!!! We'll be back to visit beautiful Basilicata and will definitely return to Piccolo Ristoro le Rocce!

21/11/2025: The waitress, Lorenza, was very kind and explained the food to us. Very good, we decided to try several dishes and I was satisfied with everything! The chicory with fava beans was a really good specialty, as was the main course. I recommend going. It's a shame it's not visible if someone happens to be walking by and doesn't know, but the place is quaint. We ate under the cave, which was lovely.

24/01/2026: The shop looks really nice and the owner seemed very kind. We bought the traditional Pane di Semola Grano Duro and Prosciutto cotto, so we can try them at home. Only when we got home we noticed that we were sold stale bread which expired 2 days ago. This was very disapointing, so please shop with caution!

04/01/2026: We went to dinner here last night and absolutely loved it. The welcome, the kindness, the attentive service, the excellent quality and flavor of the food. The manager was very knowledgeable and capable, and the chef was kind and talented. Even the bathroom was meticulously maintained, elegant, and very clean. The price was absolutely in line with the quality and the food we ate. Highly recommended.

04/01/2026: We stayed at this property for the weekend to visit the living nativity scene in Matera. The entire property is rustic in style, including the room, but it has all the modern conveniences (large TV, air conditioning, spacious bathroom with a new shower). Furthermore, the room is quite spacious, including a very comfortable double bed, a sofa, a desk, a large mirror, and a spacious wardrobe. The room also opens onto a very spacious private terrace, allowing you to enjoy a wonderful view of the countryside and the peace of nature. I'd like to give the cleanliness 10 out of 5 stars, but that's not possible. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and it's plentiful and tasty, whether you prefer a savory or sweet breakfast (freshly squeezed juice, various homemade desserts, cheeses and cured meats, coffee, or various herbal teas). As for the restaurant, we had lunch on the day of arrival, and I definitely recommend it. The food is good and healthy, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. I also wanted to thank the owner, who was very helpful and kind. She offers the advertised services (Wi-Fi, parking, and a high level of cleanliness) 100 percent, and her hospitality is also wonderful. For those who love nature and are willing to travel from the center of Matera, I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

11/01/2026: Today we had the pleasure of lunch at Sirtaki, a truly exceptional experience! We started with a delicious appetizer of cod and cruschi peppers, followed by a generous cheese platter and two first courses that won us over with their balanced flavors. The perfect finale was a melt-in-your-mouth Pizzo Calabro gelato. The service, from the incredibly sweet waitresses and the owner, was equally genuine and attentive, making us feel right at home. The location is wonderful, with an enchanting view of the lake, which makes everything even more special. Many compliments! We will definitely be back to discover other dishes from this restaurant that won us over. 🙏🏽🥰❤️ Highly recommended!

09/01/2026: It was my first time at SIRTAKI, and I have to thank some dear friends for it; otherwise, I wouldn't have discovered this restaurant. The food was excellent and very tasty, the staff was very kind and professional, and the location is truly charming. I will definitely return and recommend it.

31/12/2025: I went to Forendum in Lavello (both restaurant and hotel) with my parents, and the experience was simply perfect. We ordered two pizzas, pasta, and an appetizer: everything was very, very, very good. You can taste the quality and attention to detail, with authentic flavors and a truly local and regional touch. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, always available, and with a way of doing things that made you feel right at home. The wine was also truly excellent: well-chosen and perfect to accompany dinner. Another thing that really struck me was the ambiance, unique and evocative: a sort of "cave-like" atmosphere, warm and unique, which made the evening even more special. Honestly, I have nothing to criticize. I recommend Forendum to anyone visiting Lavello: it's absolutely worth eating there. I would go back in a heartbeat!

02/12/2025: Excellent artisanal gelato. Top-quality ingredients. Among the various flavors, I chose these: Metaponto strawberry and Lucanian pistachio from San Mauro Forte. The owner, whom I met by chance outside the shop, was very kind; I could have talked for hours. Nothing ordinary!

11/11/2025: First time in Matera, early October, a rainy day, and we were coming from Liguria. The owners are wonderful, honest, and welcoming people, and the food is delicious. The lady who runs the place offered us traditional dishes (which she likes to vary every day). She was very honest, and the portions were generous, so she advised us to order our dishes only after we'd actually finished ours. The atmosphere was fun and friendly, just like the owners. The prices were super fair, and the food was traditional. I highly recommend it.

08/11/2025: Giovanna and her husband are a sight to behold. 😍😍😍Their strictly oven-cooked cuisine is excellent 🤤🤤🤤. Their wine? It works miracles (he knows 😂😂😂). A must-visit every time we go to Matera.

06/01/2026: We recently left the farmhouse....I think 5 stars are too few, they deserve 10!!! Mrs. Piera is an exceptional person in the way she carries out her work, attentive and available, she welcomes and meets all the needs of the customer with care and also her kind way of being makes her unique. Salvatore's cooking is excellent, he too is super attentive and very good... Exquisite cured meats and cheeses, like the jam of their production, the tomato puree... the first and second courses... truly everything is delicious! You experience a homely, relaxing atmosphere and then the place is surrounded by greenery, in true nature and the children have a wonderful experience. The rooms are welcoming and very clean... I could really go on forever because there are only positive words and thoughts. We will definitely be back, thanks Piera and greetings from Michele, Giulia and Leonardo
