A simply perfect stay! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and a rare level of hospitality. The space is meticulously maintained, immaculately clean, and truly comfortable—you can immediately sense the love and passion that goes into running this B&B.
Breakfast was a treat: fresh, local products served with meticulous attention. Every corner exudes tranquility and well-being, ideal for unwinding and feeling at home (actually, better!).
Sincere compliments for the impeccable hospitality: we'll definitely be back!

Everything is carefully thought out, from the decor to the wine list.
The food is amazing, with high-quality ingredients expertly prepared and served with great taste.
The owner is a perfect host, welcoming you and making you feel at home, always making sure everything is perfect.
He's kind and friendly, as is the other older gentleman in the dining room.

Quality dishes in the excellent restaurant-pizzeria, excellent draft beers, a good selection of bottled beers, both commercial and craft, and a well-stocked wine cellar. Superbly stocked and functional bar. Spotlessly clean and well-appointed rooms. Top-notch breakfasts with excellent croissants, savory options, quality juices, jams, honey, and freshly baked cakes. What more can I say? Friendliness, warmth, and professionalism? Of course! Highly recommended! We'll be back very soon. 💯

We had lunch at this small but great restaurant, and what can I say...a gem.
A quaint, welcoming place with a family atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind and passionate about what they do, and they manage to convey it through their dishes.
Authentic ingredients with authentic flavors; the macaroni with crusco peppers is a delight for the palate, an explosion of well-balanced flavors.
The appetizers, made with local products, and the desserts are excellent.
It's truly a pleasure to see that places like this still exist, carrying on traditions for generations and truly knowing how to do it well.
Congratulations.

But I will remember my stay at Casal Dragone first and foremost for meeting, over an excellent lunch, exceptional and kind people like the estate's owners and their friendly friends and collaborators. Very good, we decided to try several dishes and I was satisfied with everything!
The chicory with fava beans was a really good specialty, as was the main course. I recommend going. It's a shame it's not visible if someone happens to be walking by and doesn't know, but the place is quaint. We ate under the cave, which was lovely.

11/11/2025: My fiancé and I visited here on our last night in Matera. A lively atmosphere & good selection of cocktails. Food was also delicious, Italian with a modern twist. Our waiter Casio was a great host, he spent time talking to us and made us feel extremely welcome!
23/10/2025: An atypical venue, with unique and truly sophisticated decor. The furnishings and details are very unique. It's now a regular stop in Matera. The cocktails are good, as is the food, and reasonably priced. The staff is courteous and very helpful.

12/11/2025: I can't speak highly of the food at this delicious restaurant because...we didn't have time to try it! My partner was taken ill, and the waiters, and especially the owner, were nothing short of exceptional. They were available to drive me to the hospital and pick me up until late in the evening, well beyond their working hours, and were always available to help.
We will forever be grateful to them.
08/11/2025: Upon arrival, the host warmly welcomed us. He created a pleasant experience in the restaurant, making us feel immediately at ease. The food was absolutely delicious. We only had pasta because we weren't very hungry, but we regretted not being able to sample more. We were also served delicious wine.

11/11/2025: First time in Matera, early October, a rainy day, and we were coming from Liguria.
The owners are wonderful, honest, and welcoming people, and the food is delicious.
The lady who runs the place offered us traditional dishes (which she likes to vary every day). She was very honest, and the portions were generous, so she advised us to order our dishes only after we'd actually finished ours.
The atmosphere was fun and friendly, just like the owners.
The prices were super fair, and the food was traditional.
I highly recommend it.
08/11/2025: Giovanna and her husband are a sight to behold. 😍😍😍Their strictly oven-cooked cuisine is excellent 🤤🤤🤤. Their wine? It works miracles (he knows 😂😂😂).
A must-visit every time we go to Matera.

Starting with the appetizers, featuring local, authentic Lucanian products, an endless variety that's already filling. The eggs with sausage and crusco peppers were an unforgettable dish! The first courses were also excellent, also prepared with local ingredients. Unfortunately, I was too full to try the meat-based main courses, but I'll definitely be back next time!
The place is very cute, although a little hard to spot from the street because it's next to a gas station. Service was far too fast; I would have preferred a few minutes' pause between appetizers and first courses to better enjoy each course and prepare for another hearty meal.
