Amazing food and service, we had the best time

Forentum Restaurant is one of the best in Basilicata for food. I enjoyed everything, from the homemade bread and taralli to the dessert. The appetizer, however, was a bit small and detracts from the good value for money of the rest of the meal. The only downside is that everyone at the other tables, except us, were offered a welcome plate of bread meatballs on caciocavallo fondue (some also received a glass of sparkling wine). Furthermore, the owner spilled the wine, making the table very wet, but she didn't apologize or even try to clean it up. I had to ask the older waiter to kindly wipe it away. I must say they made up for it with a complimentary lemon curd at the end. Overall, the food was very good, but the service was more biased toward acquaintances than strangers, something I've read in other reviews. Overall, it's a lovely place that's definitely worth a visit. Best of luck with your new place!

Excellent pizzeria with a beautiful location, all the staff are excellent and the raw materials in the dishes are excellent with an excellent quality/price ratio

This restaurant is featured in the 2026 Michelin Guide and on The Fork. The food and service are truly excellent, showcasing local products. I especially recommend the poached egg and the dessert because I really enjoyed the contrast between the chocolate and the crusco peppers. The prices are in line with the offerings. It was recommended to me, and now I will recommend it to everyone.

Excellent cuisine, with the freshest ingredients prepared with remarkable skill. The waiter was attentive and very helpful, extremely polite and sociable. Very fast, from order to fork. Perfect and excellent.

I went to Forendum in Lavello (both restaurant and hotel) with my parents, and the experience was simply perfect. We ordered two pizzas, pasta, and an appetizer: everything was very, very, very good. You can taste the quality and attention to detail, with authentic flavors and a truly local and regional touch. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, always available, and with a way of doing things that made you feel right at home. The wine was also truly excellent: well-chosen and perfect to accompany dinner. Another thing that really struck me was the ambiance, unique and evocative: a sort of "cave-like" atmosphere, warm and unique, which made the evening even more special. Honestly, I have nothing to criticize. I recommend Forendum to anyone visiting Lavello: it's absolutely worth eating there. I would go back in a heartbeat!

My partner and I were there yesterday, we stayed overnight and then had dinner in the restaurant, it was a pleasant surprise, the welcome was extraordinary, the food was top notch, we can't wait to go back.
