A little expensive for what it offers.

Fantastic experience, in the center of Lavello. Forentum is not a place to eat or sleep, or rather, it is not the classic place you go to because you don't know where to go. It is a place of aggregation, of profound tradition and true innovation managed by Savino in an incredible way. The restaurant offers the opportunity to try traditional recipes from Basilicata in the ancient way with a unique respect for the ingredients, all local, and with a workmanlike execution. An absolute must-try is the ravioli filled with sweet ricotta and topped with sauce, a work of art that excites every single taste bud like no other before. Also in the restaurant it is possible to try the pizzas, burgers or sushi, expertly made as only a true enthusiast can do. And Savino is a huge enthusiast, able to bring together tradition and innovation in a simple way, without forcing, which simply makes you happy. The suite rooms also enjoy modern but not tacky furnishings, with all comforts. Comfortable mattress, bathroom, shower, sink, walk-in closet and desk, plus a small refrigerator. In short, a place that has become, what seems like a shadow of a doubt, a reference, and to which I will return to discover this wonderful land that is Basilicata. I once again congratulate the creator of all this, the creator of a work that is more unique than rare in all of Italy.

Nice atmosphere and place. The food is good and the pizza is decent, nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable. The service is a little slow, but the staff is still quite friendly. The location is not fully accessible and the nearby car parks are always full. I don't find anything sensational, but overall it's still a good restaurant/pizzeria.

We spent our Valentine's Day here at Forentum, with the tasting menu created for the event. It was a truly incredible experience. The restaurant is located on different levels and our table was in the "deepest" part, in a real cave. A secluded and romantic location, truly a gem. The chef's proposals are all surprising. With tears we finished the truffle egg, of which I don't know the exact ingredients and name of the dish, but I assure you that you will even forget your own name while enjoying such goodness. Starter, first course and second course were accompanied by a glass of wine per course, respectively white, rosé and red carefully selected to enhance the flavor of the dishes offered. The kindness of the owners and staff encourages the desire to return as soon as possible. So, see you soon Forentum! 🤍

Ottimo ristorante,cucina locale di alta qualità ottime anche le pizze , il personale della cucina di alta professionalità e gentilezza, ti accontenta in ogni cosa possibile ed impossibile i proprietari molto accoglienti e gentilissimi Savino ed Aurora oltre ad essere i proprietari del ristorante hanno anche l hotel per me è la mia seconda casa . Tornando al ristorante ho provato tutti i piatti uno più buono dell' altro almeno una volta nella vita è da provare assolutamente.

Descrivere il Forentum è come dover spiegare un emozione...difficile farlo! Oltre che della deliziosa e ricercata cucina dello Chef di livello nazionale Savino, inizierei dalla squisita accoglienza fatta in modo elegante e allo stesso tempo informale da Aurora, consorte dello Chef, sempre attenta alle esigenze dei clienti e a consigliare le specialità presenti. L'ambiente poi è saturo di storia essendo ubicato in stabile d'epoca con tavernetta sotterranea di forte impatto architettonico. Subentra poi il responsabile di sala Giovanni che coccola con mille attenzioni i clienti, velocissimo ed attento nel suo servizio. Vogliamo parlare poi della cucina? La Basilicata tutta è servita a tavola con mille specialità tipiche, dal baccalà locale al peperone crusco mescolato in modo sapiente in molte pietanze. Lo Chef, pluripremiato, crea piatti che ritengo capolavori dell'umanità da tutelare. Le pietanze sono presentate in modo magistrale dallo CHEF Savino rispettando la regola che "Anche l'occhio vuole la sua parte" ed è un estasi di sapori in un ambiente molto particolare, ripeto elegante ma accogliente allo stesso tempo. Giro spesso per lavoro e senza ipocrisia potrei alloggiare e cenare ovunque io voglia per cui la mia affezione al Forentum è voluta e non imposta, frutto di un accurata scelta tra i locali della zona. Il Forentum non ha eguali...consigliatelo a chi merita un emozione del genere!
