11/05/2025: This is the third time I've returned to Torii Sushi. The food is quality, prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients. I really appreciated the Lucanian influence in the dishes. This makes the cuisine at Torii special. The environment is very quiet, soft lights, excellent for enjoying a dinner for two. I don't recommend it for large tables! The only sore point which unfortunately forced me to give only two stars is the service. Since it's a Saturday night, there's probably more chaos, but in a place like this, which is high-quality and high-end, the customer, whatever he may be, should always be put first and not served hastily as if it were an "any restaurant". I really recommend reviewing some things, and improving the service because this place can really do more! 🫶🏻

The cuisine is truly exceptional, offering a taste of local dishes made with local, almost always homemade ingredients. The hospitality is definitely worth a stop and a chat with the always-friendly owners. Fair prices reflect the quality and abundant quantity.

22/09/2025: Delicious dishes, soft pizza with a light crust. I really enjoyed the "contadina" pizza. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

15/09/2025: The friendliness and attention to customers are evident, and you can tell by booking over the phone. This time we tried the pizzas, and they were delicious. We'll be back to enjoy other delicacies. Highly recommended.

14/10/2025: The service is courteous and attentive, not intrusive. I have a few reservations about the seafood appetizers, but that's my personal preference. I believe fish should be treated as simply as possible, but it's clear the chef has tried to offer more innovative dishes that are slightly outside of the traditional norm. Both the grilled fish and the fried mixed seafood are truly excellent (and plentiful). In any case, an experience worth repeating, recommended for seafood lovers.

28/09/2025: Excellent lunch and impeccable dishes. The first course was truly incredible, both in its presentation and the combination of flavors (we had the tagliolini dell'abbate, highly recommended).

11/10/2025: In the heart of Corleto Perticara lies a gem of a restaurant. A welcoming and refined establishment, like its staff, I visit every month and always find a menu updated. Each dish is a journey you take with the chef, always creative but perfectly balanced in flavor. The homemade desserts are the icing on the cake, not ruined by the hefty bill, but rather modest.

18/09/2025: I was very happy with my experience at this restaurant. The service is fantastic. The people are so nice, I could eat there every day. If you want to eat dishes that Italians eat at home, this is the place. Traditional, homemade Italian food. It's beautiful. I had spaghetti Matera. The pasta and sauce were just right. The olives were the best in the world. You can sprinkle it with Parmigiano Reggiano. In Poland, when we like something, we say "Yummy." It is "Yummy." The dish I will cherish forever is the risotto with truffle, salted caramel, and Amaro Lucano cream: a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and aromatic, an explosion of flavor that I would unhesitatingly call the best dish I've ever eaten in my life. Making everything even more special was Donato's kindness and impeccable attention in the dining room, making you feel like you were at the center of a complete sensory experience. Through the glass separating the kitchen from the dining room, I glimpsed a close-knit team, smiling, orderly, and impeccably clean: silence, precision, harmony—almost a dance that contributed to the truly magical atmosphere. The restaurant, carved into the Matera tuff rock, is an architectural spectacle: intimate, elegant, and authentic. Every detail exudes passion and respect for the land that hosts it. Donato's wine selection is an exciting journey through Basilicata and Europe, with perfect pairings that enhance each dish, showcasing the finest ingredients and creativity. An experience to be relived and re-lived many times in a lifetime, because in places like this, time stands still, and taste becomes pure emotion. We'll definitely be back!

04/10/2025: What a treasure in Matera. Beautiful delicious food, pretty setting, friendly and attentive service. Great value, too. Loved the wine pairings and the concept of being able to assemble your own tasting menu. Chef is in the kitchen himself. The Michelin star is well deserved.

02/09/2025: Excellent restaurant in the village of Colobraro. You can enjoy local cuisine at an excellent price, starting with a plate of bread drizzled with the restaurant owner's high-quality olive oil. For two, we spent €54 including: appetizers, a first course each, a quarter of wine, water, a shared dessert, a liqueur, and coffee. Very friendly staff. Inside, you can also see the old olive mills.

15/10/2025: In recent years I have often observed that in Italian restaurants the chefs are of colored,,g origin. And the food prepared by them has nothing to do with real Italian restaurants. I am disappointed once again.
