05/01/2026: Discovered thanks to TripAdvisor, this trattoria was a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere was warm and familiar, just as you'd expect from a Lucanian restaurant. We tried the cavatelli with black chickpeas and shrimp, the frizzoli with ragù and breadcrumbs, the buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes, and the charcuterie board: everything was delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. The service was courteous and never intrusive. Excellent value for money.

25/12/2025: Paccheri with cicadas, macaroni with ferretto, cod with bruschi peppers, all excellent. We would have liked to try the rest of the menu, but it would have been impossible for four of us. We'll be back on the return trip from Sicily to Milan. I forgot about the Altamura loaf and the berry cheesecake. For four of us, it was the best €75 we spent on our vacation. Excellent!

29/12/2025: A typical Lucanian restaurant serving traditional dishes in the beautiful city of Matera. The waiters were incredibly friendly, and we asked them for wine and food recommendations. Excellent dishes, highly recommended!
One detail we noticed was that the menu wasn't very extensive, as the ingredients were repetitive across the side dishes, first courses, and second courses.

03/01/2026: A restaurant located just outside Matera, perfect for an evening with friends. We visited as a group and tried several options: the meat was truly excellent, top-quality, and cooked to perfection. The pizza was also very good, as were the pasta dishes, which were tasty and well-prepared. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. A place definitely worth a visit, we highly recommend it.

08/12/2025: If you're passing through that side of the park, you can't miss this very typical osteria. You need to call to reserve, but once you get a table, you enter the owner's home, a very kind elderly woman who prepares countless exquisite cod dishes. The service and atmosphere are quite basic, but these aspects can easily be overlooked. The generous appetizers will fill you up. Excellent value.

18/01/2026: We attended a tasting to sample the food from my son's wedding reception. The reception hall is large and spacious, and it's comfortable. I recommend the owners find some acoustical solutions to dampen the reverberation of the chatter of two hundred people.
The tastings went very well and gave us good advice on the menu choices. The staff was friendly and professional.

29/12/2025: We had dinner for two last night (December 28, 2025) after finding the restaurant featured in the Slow Food guide. We had a great time: a wide selection of traditional dishes, generous portions, and friendly service. In particular, after I mentioned that my girlfriend is lactose intolerant, the waitress immediately suggested two small changes to the appetizer selection. The only downsides were the volume of the music and the €3 cover charge per person, which seemed a bit steep, but overall, a very positive experience.

Truly excellent, completely different from the average all-you-can-eat sushi you'll find. The filling is generous, the quality of the ingredients is truly excellent, and the texture is remarkable. The creativity and flavors are truly superior; the various ingredients stand out beautifully yet blend seamlessly together without overpowering or distorting each other. I highly recommend it!
