05/10/2025: Explain to your employees that if I come in and ask for a restroom, you'll immediately tell them that the drink is mandatory (which should be indicated at the entrance), because if I have to pay €1.30 for a coffee with the POS, I can just leave. You'll have less problem telling them later in the most arrogant way possible just because I'm younger. Be more careful about having people tie their hair back if they work behind a counter and therefore respect hygiene rules.

Bar Jolly, in the heart of Borgo Trento, is more than just a bar: it's a must-see for those in Verona who move with style, discretion, and good connections. The bar is always lively, thanks to Francesca and Paola, who instantly recognize you—even if you haven't been seen for weeks. Excellent for breakfast and lunch, but also for those moments when you need a place to stop and "be seen" without making a scene. Because here, the city's elite don't show off: they meet by chance, and if necessary, they communicate with their eyes.

27/06/2025: 38 degree day, air conditioning inside the place, ice cold tonic water and a quiet environment. An oasis in the desert. I stayed there for a good half hour to recover. I won't talk about the food only because I didn't take any. The two guys were very kind.

16/06/2025: This was the third of nine winery visits that were completed over 2 days in the Valpolicella Classico wine region. This was a tightly scheduled tour so we made reservations for the purpose of maintaining our schedule. Our group consisted of 3 but only included 2 active tasters. We seek out reds in our travels but will try other wines. Fabuala was our host for this private winery tour and tasting. She was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic host. The wine tasting was accompanied by a charcuterie board, cheese platter, desert and coffee. The wines were all good. Our favourite wines for this visit were Amarone Riserva Gino Cordin (purchased), Le Viole Amarone Superiore Riserva and Corvina Veronese IGT. We strongly recommend visiting this winery - our host, the tour, the tasting and the quality of the wines were excellent.
