The only downside was that the ravioli portion could have been a bit more generous, as it felt quite small. However, the lasagna was excellent.

Located in a historic 14th-century farmhouse, surrounded by organic vineyards and orchards, this restaurant immediately exudes a warm, family atmosphere. The two indoor parlors, steeped in history, and the outdoor pergola overlooking the mountains make every meal a special experience. The cuisine is the real highlight: traditional South Tyrolean dishes prepared with authentic ingredients, many of which come directly from the farm or other Red Rooster producers. The menu follows the seasons: in spring, wild garlic dumplings and cream of asparagus stand out, while in summer, light soups are served, while in autumn, Törgellen offers intense flavors with Schlutzkrapfen, roasts, sauerkraut, and the ever-present chestnuts. Don't miss the homemade desserts, such as krapfen filled with jam or chestnut cream. Homemade wine and grappa complete the experience, accompanied by the warmth of owner Christian and his family, who love entertaining guests with stories and anecdotes. 28/05/2026: Our visit to Bistro Seven was absolutely perfect! 🤍 The food was truly exceptional – every dish prepared with such care and simply divine. You can immediately tell that they use high-quality ingredients and a lot of passion. We've rarely eaten so well! But the incredibly warm and welcoming staff deserves special mention. It's rare to experience such attentive, friendly, and heartfelt service. You feel welcome and completely at ease from the very first moment. The entire ambiance is beautiful, cozy, and stylish – simply a place to relax and enjoy yourself. Everything here is just right: the food, the service, the atmosphere… simply top-notch! For us, it's definitely one of the best restaurants in Merano – we'll definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend Bistro Seven!

25/03/2026: A true Tyrolean tale tucked into the mountains. This restaurant is less about dining and more about experiencing local heritage, lovingly run by a local family in one of the oldest houses in the region. For me, it was magical, a charming little hut with breathtaking views of a nearby monastery. The meal unfolded beautifully: a generous cheese board to start, followed by delicate spinach ravioli, and then a comforting cabbage dish served with rustic local bread. Dessert was simply exquisite. The only missing note was music, the space is so intimate and quiet that you can easily hear neighboring tables, which takes away slightly from the atmosphere. I personally loved the experience. That said, my husband and kids didn’t enjoy it as much. It’s far better suited for a romantic evening or a special night out with girlfriends rather than a family dinner.

09/06/2026: We went there for dinner – unfortunately only on the last day of our vacation, otherwise we would certainly have been there more often. Lovely atmosphere, very child-friendly with a playground and playroom, great menu, and delicious food. One of our children fell asleep and was immediately given a pillow and blanket! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We didn't stay overnight.

Even upon arrival in St. Leonhard, you're captivated by the phenomenal view over the Brixen Valley. But the real highlight is the family itself. Eugen, Theresia, Barbara, and Martina radiate a warmth that's rare these days. You immediately feel welcome and right at home. The old walls breathe history, and the rooms are so lovingly and cozily furnished that you simply don't want to get up. And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish – from the perfect Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta) to the sweet Krapfen (doughnuts) – tastes of genuine tradition, handcrafted quality, and a whole lot of love. Here, they don't just cook; they serve up the South Tyrolean way of life. Many thanks to the entire Messner family for unforgettable visits and your wonderful hospitality. You make the Aichnerhof truly special! We are already counting down the days until our next visit with our South Tyrolean friends during the Pentecost holidays in 2026.

08/05/2026: We discovered this special place by chance and immediately felt very comfortable. A warm and relaxed atmosphere, very fair prices, and lovingly arranged snacks to accompany the wine/aperitif, all served with friendly and personal service. An authentic and unique spot. We'll definitely be back.
