Aided by spectacular surroundings, with sweeping views of Pisciadu and the shadow of Sassongher, the refuge offers a good selection of top-quality products and very polite and helpful staff. There are plenty of tables and a surrounding area with loungers for relaxing and sunbathing.

Amazing place!! We stumbled upon this place by chance and even went back a second time. The menu is wonderful, the food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the view is stunning. I especially appreciate the person responsible for the decor and all the flowers everywhere. It’s incredibly beautiful, and I didn’t want to leave :)

Rifugio Col Pradat is a unique mountain hut in Alta Badia, situated at an altitude of 2,038 meters above sea level at the foot of the mighty Sassongher peak, directly above Colfosco. It offers spectacular panoramic views of the entire Sella Group and the deep Val Mezdi valley. The most convenient access is via a direct cable car from Colfosco, while hikers can easily reach it in about 45-60 minutes via a well-marked, easy walking trail from the same village.

Gasthof Falkenstein

04/06/2026: We ate here several times last year, and again this year for a snack and dinner. The terrace has a lovely view. The service was incredibly friendly, thank you so much! The dumplings in the soup and as a trio were amazing! And we had a fantastic breaded turkey schnitzel. There was a great selection of delicious desserts. To finish, we had a liqueur and a schnapps – simply a wonderful evening :-) Thank you to the whole team! We'll definitely be back next year (or maybe even this summer) 🌞
31/05/2026: We stayed at the Gasthaus Falkenstein for one night while passing through and were completely satisfied. The food, rooms, and staff were all incredibly welcoming – highly recommended. We had everything we needed.
