24/08/2025: Amazing experience, we ate great and the prices were fair! Highly recommended!

18/08/2025: Discovered by chance during a visit to the beautiful village of Certosa, we immediately appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the owner in providing us with a nice table, especially considering we have a rather lively three-year-old. Then came the culinary journey: spaghetti made with an ancient recipe (amazing), goulash soup, and a delicious ragù for the baby. We were captivated by the flavors, the fast and friendly service (speed is important to us, since our baby can't sit still for long), and the attention to children (toys available in the dining room, a dedicated menu, and no sense of pressure from the lively atmosphere). We've been back three more times, all with great satisfaction on many different floors. Best of all: the cocktails, the Hugos, are delicious!! Congratulations to the entire Gruner family, and keep up the good work!

03/09/2025: Don't be fooled by the somewhat alternative charm of the space. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious – they also offer vegan dishes.

03/09/2025: A cozy little spot where Bolzano locals gather in the late afternoon to enjoy a few beers. After 7 p.m., the kitchen opens and serves a small but completely homemade selection of special Italian dishes. The chef, who’s also the owner, kindly took the time to walk us through the menu and helped us make the right choice. It’s the perfect place to taste local flavors in a friendly bar atmosphere, or simply sip a drink and hang out with friends. If we come back to Bolzano, we had definitely love to visit again.

31/08/2025: We were only here briefly for a coffee, but the atmosphere is truly special. So high up, the spirits of the countless cyclists who made it, the many motorcycles, and of course, the view. We were also lucky with the weather, I must say. And we actually met some skiers who were obviously training on the nearby glacier. And there's hardly anywhere closer to the Ortler (unless you go up there ;-))

17/08/2025: We went there for dinner and were absolutely thrilled! A great and varied menu, very friendly service, and lovely seating both inside and outside. Reasonable prices. The pizza was also very good and highly recommended! Our next visit today, very nice courtyard, lovely ambiance. The food was excellent again. Veal tomahawk steak and smoked salmon. Very friendly service again. Highly recommended!

24/05/2025: Discovered by chance because we were staying nearby. It is a very nice restaurant with top dishes. We both had the surprise menu and each got different dishes. Which was strange at first, but then super fun and tasty because now you could taste and enjoy more. They were top products and top flavors with combinations of meat, vegetables and herbs from the region. Very light and healthy all. We will definitely come back here!

10/08/2025: I tried Chef Mirko's menu, delicate and sometimes spicy, slightly hot dishes. I recommend it. It's hard to explain when everything is so good. There's also a fish menu option. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is clean. A super wide selection of wines. Parking is outside, so you'll definitely find it easily because it's spacious. I recommend booking a few days in advance.

19/06/2025: Two sensational meals! Potato turnovers with ricotta and herb filling, nettle dumplings, bresauola with arugula and Parmesan, semifredo...superb 🍷 wine, very friendly service, and a shot of schnapps on the house!

25/05/2025: We enjoyed delicious South Tyrolean cuisine here! The portions are generous and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is rustic, and many locals come here. We had the Schlutzkrapfen pasta, the four kinds of dumplings, and the veal ragout with dumplings. All highly recommended. The highlights, however, were the homemade apple strudel and the homemade amaretto semifreddo. Incredibly delicious!

28/06/2025: Wir waren in unserem Urlaub mehrmals im Stadele. Warum? Weil das Essen sensationell, die Getränkebegleitung sehr gut, der Service total nett und das Ambiente innen/außen außergewöhnlich ist. Man kann in Lana definitiv günstiger essen - wenn man das will! Ich persönlich zahle gerne mehr, wenn ich dafür bei insgesamt 15 Gerichten (Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen) jedesmal sage „so gut noch nirgendwo gegessen“ oder „das ist ja mal der Hammer“. Hoher Wareneinsatz durch perfekte Qualität plus handwerkliches Können plus hochwertige Einrichtung kostet halt…

27/06/2025: The food alone deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the ambiance are up to scratch. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, except in an uncomfortable side area. The value for money is disastrous. We won't be dining there again. It's a shame for the chef.

20/08/2025: A great place to hang out, with a playground and animals. And even in the restaurant, things got off to a great start, with art supplies and children's crayons brought to our table without being asked. Unfortunately, on our visit yesterday, the restaurant's value for money was completely out of the question. We were supposedly the first to order our four dishes around 11:30 a.m.: 2 cheese spaetzle, 1 goulash with dumplings, and 1 Kaiserschmarrn. There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste, although in my opinion the spaetzle lacked a bit of cheese. The Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was divine. But the size of the two portions of cheese spaetzle, which were charged at €14 each, was truly outrageous. I think the waiter misheard the order and quickly made two portions. You wouldn't have expected something so delicate, even with a five-course meal. When the food was handed over by a member of staff who hadn't taken our order, my wife and I were so perplexed that we stared at each other for a few seconds, wondering if it wasn't a joke. When, a short while later, our actual server, a very polite and energetic young man, answered the obligatory question to our satisfaction, I politely expressed our disappointment at the sizes of the two dishes. And it takes a lot for me to do that. However, having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I know that things don't always go smoothly, and that a second chance might be needed to iron something out – keyword guest recovery. So I politely gave the above feedback. A shrug from the server without further comment or action was not the desired reaction to my desired feedback. And it would all have been so simple and cheap for the restaurant: another dollop of spaetzle as a sign of good hospitality, a drink or espresso on the house, and so on... so we were left with the feeling of a real rip-off! Conclusion: 2 mini spaetzle, 1 goulash, 2 large and 2 small drinks, 1 small Kaiserschmarrn for €83 😀 including a tip, which wasn't really appropriate. But from a long association with this tough job, I know that's not what you do. Maybe the kitchen messed up, or maybe there's even a directive from above to fob off the customers like this. And the most annoying part: we were still hungry... Best regards

25/08/2025: Like every year during our vacation in South Tyrol, we had dinner at the Schlosswirt and were as thrilled as ever! The quality of the food and drinks is excellent, as is the service. The (young) children are also well catered for. There's an extensive children's menu, a free scoop of ice cream, and the restaurant provides crayons and coloring pages to keep them entertained. That's truly positive and not to be taken for granted. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit!

23/08/2025: My wife and I dined a la carte at the restaurant on the sun terrace. Great view, pleasant ambiance, good selection of dishes on the menu (there's something for almost every budget), delicious food, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. The restaurant is located in the center of Schenna. It was a very pleasant evening, which we repeated with friends five days later. We would gladly come back.
