30/12/2025: I bought a box of pods compatible with the Dolce Gusto machine, and nothing...out of 90 pods, I probably drank 20-25 coffees because almost all of the pods were defective and would explode during brewing. I called to report the problem, but no one seemed to be apologetic about what had happened.

20/11/2025: Plenty of coffee for every taste. You can even sample them if you're unsure; from coffee beans to capsules, they have options for all coffee machines. Thank you 🙏

02/01/2026: It was our first experience in Aosta, and thank God, everything came together like a perfect puzzle. This is especially true for those of us who appreciate what creation offers us and the people we meet every day. Our overall rating is good because it reflects the management's self-presentation, which also reflects what we consider most important: cleanliness, professionalism, proximity to the center and the Pila ski lift. Highly recommended, and we'll be back. We're attached to this family-run business, having been part of it all our lives in the restaurant business. We're also grateful for the fact that the TV worked, the heating, the welcome kit in the bathroom, and the welcome gift upon arrival (all things that are not at all obvious👍🙏). See you soon. 26/10/2025: A very nice refuge, good food, but unfortunately, friendliness and courtesy aren't the managers' strong points. Furthermore, the prices are excessively high compared to other refuges in the area offering comparable service.

26/09/2025: I received a gift of an overnight stay for my wife and I, but for various reasons (including the unavailability of rooms in mid-July), I couldn't go. Only today did I discover (the website didn't mention it) that, unlike other refuges in the Valley, the Chaligne will close tomorrow. I asked if I could use the voucher next year, paying any difference due to the price increase, but I was told that the voucher is only valid for 2025 and therefore no longer usable. This response confirmed the numerous negative reviews about the management's behavior. They will certainly never see me again. TIP: AVOID PURCHASING OR GIVING GIFTS IF YOU ARE UNSURE YOU CAN USE THEM. In response to this review, I received an email from the owner advising me to organize myself better to use the gifts I received. I'll leave it up to the reader to decide on their behavior toward customers, which confirms several other reviews.

02/01/2026: Stayed for a week and as a 193 cm long man the beds are too small. My feet would dangle off the edge of the bed at my calves. On top of this the beds and pillows are incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The room overall looks nice but is a bit worn. The restaurant is not great when it comes to service 3/6 times they forgot our order, spent an average of 1.5 hours waiting for food, no form of compensation. Food is of good quality though and was included in our package (maybe this is why we were set aside/unprioritized) location is 10/10 right by ski lifts. Sauna/spa area is ok Update: Recieved a very nice pillow and regrets for our experience, i would like to emphasize that the staff have all been extremely friendly and accommodating

11/12/2025: Excellent hotel, not exactly a 4-star, excellent food, 50 meters from the ski slopes. Highly recommended.

26/10/2025: Excellent food; we tried the platter, the tagliatelle with venison ragù, and the polenta with venison cheek—all truly authentic. The view is breathtaking, and the owner is hospitable. A glass of Chardon is also highly recommended.

24/08/2025: Excellent food!!! Everything is homemade, even the bread! Courtesy and a great location. Definitely worth a try and a return visit.

19/02/2026: Everything was really excellent, the pizza was super good.

04/02/2026: Ordered two takeout pizzas yesterday, tuna/onion and Margherita. Both my friend and I were sick all night and only ate the two pizzas. Shameful.

04/01/2026: Tragic service. Was not seated upon entrance. We were asked to move tables by the waitress and had to move our own cutlery, glasses, and placemats as she watched. Surreal… Carbonara was double salted and inedible, but was served out anyway. Margherita and bolognese were ok. Final nail in the coffin, the staff picked up plates before we were done, including a coaster from under my cup.

30/12/2025: Terrible staff, rude and unwelcoming. Decent pizza. Very nice place.

21/11/2025: Small bar in the center of Valpelline. Friendly staff. A few seats inside and a nice outdoor terrace. Easy parking.

05/03/2026: Belvedere Restaurant is a real surprise in the city center. The first thing you'll notice is the stunning decor, meticulously crafted by a local carpenter: the wood warms the space and creates a modern yet welcoming atmosphere, truly unique. The pizza is delicious, with a light dough and quality ingredients. It's the perfect place if you're looking for a mix of refined design and authentic cuisine. A blend of craftsmanship and fine dining that's definitely worth a visit!

08/02/2026: The staff seemed rushed, with no time to choose a dish. The food itself was very basic, and the pasta wasn't particularly good. To top it all off, when it came time to pay, the owner was unpleasant, refusing to accept separate payments and insisting on cash. In short, I don't recommend this establishment, and it should definitely be audited by the French social security agency (Urssaf).
