AMAZING! We spotted this wonderful restaurant by chance while heading to Aymavilles Castle, and our instincts didn't deceive us! We loved everything: the rustic yet refined atmosphere (even the restrooms were very clean), the extremely friendly and impeccable service, and the EXCELLENT FOOD. From the fondue to the venison steak, to the gnocchi with fondue and a divine meatball with polenta, we couldn't have asked for a better last dinner before saying goodbye to the Aosta Valley. And let's not forget the desserts! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

March 28, 2026 I was at this restaurant in December 2025. I'm just writing the review now. But I hadn't forgotten! I just took a little longer! I LOVE this restaurant. I discovered it by chance at the last minute during my vacation. It was the restaurant I loved the most and it's a place I'll always hold dear. I want to return to the Aosta Valley, and especially to this little corner of paradise. The service, ambiance, and food were impeccable. Super cute, and the dishes enchanted me so much. I loved everything from start to finish. I'm so happy I found it! We'll definitely be back when we decide to visit again ❤️ Thank you for the experience and the wonderful memories🥰

Every time I come back to you it's always a pleasure for the palate... we met you by chance many years ago and every time we escape from Genoa it's a pleasure to come and taste the typical mountain flavor... anyone who finds themselves in Aosta, come to Old Grizzly you won't regret it 🥰

05/04/2026: We ordered raclette, a platter, and a lean crepe. The raclette is the dish I'd order again, and it was plentiful even for four of us. The restaurant is a traditional, dimly lit restaurant.

24/08/2025: Simply the best ice cream I've ever had in the region! The wild berry sorbet, the pistachio ice cream and the honey/caramel ice cream were all great, but the mint-chocolate ice cream with mint leaves picked from the garden and infused directly... It's just a dream! Grazie mille!!
05/08/2025: Purtroppo siamo stati pochi giorni a Valtournenche e abbiamo avuto modo di assaggiare solamente il gelato...ma ci siamo tornati due giorni dei tre che abbiamo trascorso lì perché davvero buonissimo. Se ne avverte la freschezza e la qualità dei prodotti utilizzati inoltre la sua consistenza cremosa è perfetta! Ci sono anche gusti particolari e deliziosi che solitamente non si trovano come l'after eight e mascarpone e fichi. Molto gentile il proprietario che, in caso di dubbi sui gusti da scegliere aiuta con delle spiegazioni sugli ingredienti e dei consigli. Per me e mia figlia che siamo golose di gelato artigianale e ne abbiamo assaggiati tanti ovunque...un gelato che si farà ricordare
