11/12/2025: A very large and well-organized Ikea. The furniture display is beautiful, but if someone wants to go directly to a certain section, they're forced to walk all the way through in the vast majority of cases. Otherwise, it's very nice.

06/12/2025: Ikea had a relaxing day looking for Christmas gifts. Prices were fair, the food a little less so. But I'll definitely be back.

22/06/2026: I went on a Friday evening. Il Moreccio is a pizzeria with a wood-fired oven for takeout. They also have a few tables in a small side room and a couple at the entrance. At first glance, it's a typical local place, in a hamlet of Cascina (San Giorgio) right on the Toscoromagnola highway. Parking is easy: there's always space along the road in that area. The initial impression is positive: a small and well-kept place, yet genuine and authentic. You're truly surprised when you realize that the owner does his job with passion and curiosity. This is evident from many signs: a wide selection of pizzas, including classics and many others resulting from research and experimentation, with attention to the quality of the dough, the flours, and the raw materials. There were two of us. I ordered a pizza with zucchini flowers, burrata, and anchovies. A white pizza. They recommended a bottle of Guinness, which I'd never tried before, but which was actually good and went very well with it. In addition to a basic selection of regular beers, they also have a selection of specialty and craft beers. My companion had a Moreccio with sausage and an unfiltered Ichnusa beer. Before we started, we tried the cecina. Excellent. Soft on the inside, slightly crunchy on the outside, flavorful and tasty. I wasn't expecting it, and I have to say it's easily a contender for the best cecina in Pisa. I'm not kidding. Then came the pizzas. The style is thin-crust, well-topped, with a light (and very digestible) dough. Remarkable! The photo taken with my old phone speaks for itself: you wouldn't expect a pizza like this in San Giorgio di Cascina. And yet, there it is, as beautiful as it is delicious. Applause! PS: I went back recently and they renovated the dining room (I must say, it's a nice and comfortable place for a quick bite). I also saw that they've introduced some interesting menus (children up to 12, small margherita pizza - but it's practically normal - and a canned drink = 6 euros! Very good!)

02/05/2026: We dined on a Saturday evening whilst staying at Karma Borgo Di Colleoli. On arrival we were the first to arrive, however during our visit the place filled up. Water and wine were included in the cover charge. However the water wasn’t chilled (ice was apparently not available) and the wine was very vinegary. I requested some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to go with the bag of bread, however when it arrived about an hour later they only had a balsamic glaze which was sickly sweet. Our first courses of ragout were pleasant enough, although some freshly ground pepper would have been nice, My second course of wild boar with olives was very salty as was the salad, which had also been covered in the sickly balsamic glaze. My partner’s chips, by contrast, were not seasoned at all. We did not order coffee as decaf was not available. The final bill came to more than we were expecting, however since it was not itemised this was difficult to check. I won’t be returning.

10/04/2026: My family and I had one of the best meals of my life at the restaurant, although we didn't stay the night. I have genuinely been dreaming about their pasta and deserts in the week since we went. The restaurant was packed with locals too, which is always a great sign. Highly recommended.

04/06/2026: Great stop at Bar Centro. We just wanted a good espresso, cappuccino and fresh spremuta to go with some bomboloni we had bought next door. Ali served us and was genuinely kind and understanding about it, which made a real difference. What stood out is that this place had no problem with us enjoying pastries from outside alongside their drinks, unlike another nearby bar that refused this kind of thing. Simple gesture, but it shows a lot of flexibility and hospitality. Service was quick, friendly, and exactly what we needed. Small detail, but worth mentioning: tourists definitely notice and appreciate this kind of attitude. Well done.

21/03/2026: I believe there are nice things in the shop but difficult to find them because the bad visual display .. the sale Assistant was incredible rude and I had to leave my purchase not to have a bad experience as my memory with the purchase. Shop somewhere else

07/04/2026: A disastrous Easter Monday in a photo. Sometimes, if you can't manage a restaurant, it's best to step back. Sorry, but the place is very beautiful anyway.

07/04/2026: We went for Easter Monday lunch expecting that, being a holiday, the wait might be longer than usual and that a little patience would be required. Unfortunately, however, the experience far exceeded our negative expectations. The waits between courses were truly excessive, especially between the appetizer and the mixed grill. But what bothered us most was the quality of the food: the grill was burnt, dry, and incomplete, even missing the beef. Considering it was a "mixed grill," one might expect a full variety of meats, which was not the case. The side dishes were also burnt and dry, confirming a general lack of attention to the preparation of the dishes. Overall, the quality of the food was decidedly poor. Another negative aspect was the lack of communication from the staff: no one informed us of any problems in the kitchen, and only after we reported it were we informed about the delays. We also noted several service deficiencies: the meat knives at the table next to ours were changed, while ours weren't. The seats were dirty and the tablecloth had stains, details that significantly impact the overall experience. It's a shame, because the location is truly beautiful. The only positive note: the grilled food was removed from the bill, as it was burnt and inedible. A thoughtful gesture, but not enough to make up for an overall disappointing experience.

25/07/2026: Disappointing carbonara, a dry mess that was impossible to swallow, no cream, just a tiny omelette! An excessive amount of pepper, almost harmful and annoying. Boiled bacon, pasta without salt. Tourist menu cancelled mid-course because they wanted to foist breakfast croissants on us for dessert without warning that the rest of the sweet products had run out. Terrible experience, highly not recommended.

30/06/2026: Good little café for breakfast, food was good, staff were friendly and helpful.

06/07/2026: THE USUAL S**T PLACE A table for two, we arrive and are greeted coldly and rudely. The waitresses seem to be there for show. I order a "gourmet" schiacciatina with grilled eggplant, the latter pickled in oil and vinegar? Obviously not specified on the menu, so I decide to send the dish back, and the waitress is incredibly rude. I order a Margherita pizza, which is BURNED. After this horror movie, we head to the cashier, and here's where the real circus begins. The OWNER started yelling, saying she'd given me the Margherita pizza as a gift, and insisted, insultingly, that I should pay for the uneaten schiacciatina. I specified that I'd only pay for what I'd actually eaten, but she continued to yell that the pizza had been given to me as a gift. In the end, I paid for my pizza while she continued to behave inappropriately. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

24/05/2026: Tonight, my wife, my friends, and I went to celebrate our wives' birthdays at this place. I can't comment on the quality of the pizza; it's excellent. The place itself isn't bad either. It's just ruined by the staff, who don't know how to deal with the public. It's a shame; they've lost some regular customers.

07/12/2025: I didn't know it was a "Sicilian" place, so I ordered baked anelletti and eggplant caponata... and it was like eating them in Palermo; then I discovered the restaurant's history... Go there and you'll be as surprised as I was!

04/12/2025: I went here for an aperitivo: excellent food and plenty of choices for all tastes. The staff was friendly and quick with their service. Beautiful location, right in front of the Arco della Pace. Recommended!

25/06/2026: A shop selling traditional Pisan pastries. The place looks very authentic; however, the service is terrible. They don't explain anything and have a sour expression. The pastries seemed too sweet to me, and they cost €3 for 100 grams. Each Panformini weighs 100-110 grams, so if you order two, it'll be about €6, and at least for me, they're not very good. I don't recommend it, and honestly, I didn't find any truly authentic bakeries in Pisa. I know there's one, but it's further away; it's up to each person to decide whether to go or not.

28/05/2026: Nestled in the greenery of San Rossore Park, far from the frenetic pace of Pisa, this restaurant offers the opportunity to relax surrounded by virtually untouched Mediterranean nature, to reclaim your time while enjoying a setting where the pine forest and, in the background, the Apuan Alps completely captivate our sight and sound. Traditional Pisan dishes are served, with products sourced almost entirely from farms within the park.

27/05/2026: I strongly advise against it for private parties. It was a terrible experience. Go elsewhere for your celebrations.

14/08/2026: The restaurant enjoys an excellent location, perfect for lunch after a morning in the nearby square. The food was excellent and the service attentive. The prices are in line with what's on offer; it was a very good experience.
