10/04/2026: It says "TRATTORIA" in large letters outside! The food is like a trattoria! No fuss, lots of substance. Home cooking. Generous portions. Very nice and cheerful waitress. Delicious homemade bread. I would have cooked the pasta a minute less, but that's a personal preference. If I were from around here, I'd be a regular for lunch. The atmosphere is clean and the "village" feel is a plus, in my opinion.

09/04/2026: We stopped for dinner during a camper tour of the magnificent Apuan Alps. It turned out to be a great idea: excellent food, friendly staff, and a beautiful location just steps from the historic village of Isola Santa, with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We love hiking in the mountains, and the area is perfect for that; we'll be back! We hiked the Col di Favilla Puntato loop, starting and ending right at the restaurant. The only downside is that there are limited parking spaces, but if you avoid peak days, it's no problem. We parked our (small) camper easily!

06/04/2026: I stopped for lunch, a place with no organization, poor food, the bread looked like it was cut a week ago, then they brought me the mixed grill that was mine, on the same plate as mine they put my wife's vegetables. The meat was inedible. I left it on my plate. And the bill is very high for what they bring you.

17/06/2026: I don’t know what the seller gave me. I ordered a “bellezza” it wasn’t like the usual taste. It had a strong ginger flavour and other than that it’s like drinking water. I saw him putting a quite large portion of melone. It missed carrots and oranges. If you read this, I think you might recall what you did intentionally.

11/06/2026: ★☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, my experience at Bioroom was disappointing. The employee was unable to provide clear information about the smoothie ingredients when I asked for clarification. For a place that promotes healthy eating, I would expect greater knowledge of the products offered. Furthermore, I had the impression that the portion served didn't match the advertised amount or the asking price. The smoothie seemed very small for the price and was mostly made up of ice, resulting in a rather watered-down flavor and consistency. For this reason, I found the quality-price ratio unsatisfactory. The quality of the ingredients also didn't convince me. In particular, the salmon served didn't seem to be up to the quality one would expect considering the prices. Overall, I feel that price, transparency, and product quality don't align with each other. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

03/06/2026: I had a very disappointing experience with the service. The waiter behaved rudely and was unprofessional throughout the interaction. At one point, they even raised their voice, which made the situation uncomfortable and unpleasant. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in a service environment where politeness and respect are expected. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future.

02/06/2026: A great place for an afternoon snack in Lucca. We enjoyed some delicious waffles sitting on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Duomo. An excellent experience.

07/03/2026: One of the pizzas was burnt and the other was quite raw. Several of us had stomach aches after eating. The service was also very slow; we had to call back to get our pizzas. Personally, we expected more.

07/09/2025: I went for dinner and had a pizza and appetizer. I paid over €30 and the place had been recommended to me for its karaoke, which is the only positive. The appetizer was good, and the pizza. But the service was truly awful. The guy was nice, but she was ruder than I've ever seen.

18/07/2026: We arrived in Pietrasanta without a reservation, and this was the only restaurant that would seat us. The only positive note was Greta, the waitress: kind, helpful, and visibly mortified. Otherwise, it was a terrible experience. We ordered a €30 Riserva San Massimo risotto with figs and almonds and a guinea fowl. The guinea fowl was embarrassingly presented, and the risotto was undoubtedly the worst dish I've ever eaten at that price: completely tasteless and overcooked. We sent it back practically intact. The restaurant's response? No apology, no questions asked, no interest in understanding the problem. Of course, the risotto had been charged in full on the bill. It's a shame we only read the reviews after we sat down: we would have avoided one of the worst dinners of our lives.

08/07/2026: We had dinner here yesterday. The food itself was very good, and Marco gave us excellent advice when choosing a wine. For the main course, we ordered a Bistecca to share. The waiter explicitly told us that the portion for two people would be 1,000 grams. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged for 1,200 grams, which was not what had been explained at the table. When I questioned this, I was told that they can never know the exact weight of a bistecca. While I understand that the weight can vary slightly, charging 20% more than what was presented without informing the customer is not acceptable. It left us with the impression that tourists are being taken advantage of. The service was also disappointing. While clearing the table, the waiter asked us to pass him our plates, empty cans, and even the bottle of olive oil instead of walking around the table himself. Considering the prices charged, you would expect a much higher standard of service.

18/06/2026: A bad experience at this café where we ordered two lungos for €5, which is an exorbitant price for Italy. The cloth tablecloths are unsuitable and the service is unfriendly.

15/06/2026: Great, local bar. Beautiful patio. Guila is very warm and friendly. Perfect spot for morning coffee and croissant or afternoon cocktails.

24/12/2025: We were very disappointed with our experience at the hotel we booked through the agency. Security was virtually nonexistent, with room keys left unattended. This led to unpleasant situations, with our rooms being used by other people. We expected a level of service and care that, unfortunately, we didn't receive. We hope the hotel can improve these aspects in the future to offer its guests a more peaceful stay.

04/10/2025: The Hotel Bencistà in Pietrasanta offers everything you could wish for a successful stay. The rooms are spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, and quietly located. From the moment you check in, you feel the attentiveness of the staff – friendly, professional, and warm at the same time. The free upgrade was a pleasant surprise and rounded off the stay perfectly. Overall, a place where everything is just right: atmosphere, cleanliness, service, and location.

16/09/2025: Nice place with good capacity, good coffee and decent food at this plaza. Breakfast or a late evening snack and most occasions in between. Good for your everyday and a place in the shade on warm days.
