Perfect Beachfront Spot for an Aperitivo This beachfront bar is an absolute gem! We stopped by for an early evening drink and were blown away by how delightful everything was. The Aperol Spritz was perfectly balanced — refreshing, vibrant, and just what you want while soaking in the sea view. What made it even better were the delicious small focaccias served alongside — light, flavorful, and the ideal aperitivo snack. The service was excellent — very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can really feel the welcoming atmosphere, and it’s clear the team loves what they do. A perfect place to relax, enjoy the sunset, and sip something wonderful. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Mattarello - L’Osteria dell’Isola

09/04/2026: We stopped for dinner during a camper tour of the magnificent Apuan Alps. It turned out to be a great idea: excellent food, friendly staff, and a beautiful location just steps from the historic village of Isola Santa, with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We love hiking in the mountains, and the area is perfect for that; we'll be back! We hiked the Col di Favilla Puntato loop, starting and ending right at the restaurant. The only downside is that there are limited parking spaces, but if you avoid peak days, it's no problem. We parked our (small) camper easily!
04/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome from Moci (the chef at the Osteria) and were served delicious food two hours before the official opening time. Thank you so much!
