15/08/2025: A very cute place nestled in the greenery of the Torre del Lago pine forest. Fast and friendly service. The tordelli with ragù are simply fantastic, and the pizzas are also very good. Easy to digest and crispy dough. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the dishes, which are truly worthy. Recommended!

08/05/2026: Here I am, we stumbled upon this property by chance. We had booked in Lucca, but we ran away because the apartment was so filthy. Everything around us was fully booked, so I called this hotel after finding a deal on Booking. I have to say, it was a lucky find, first of all because it was the last room, and secondly because it was practically right next to the center of Altopascio. The hotel isn't newly built, and the rooms aren't the most innovative—let's say a bit dated—but the empathy, hospitality, and attention to guests are, at least for us, top notch. The owner, Aurora, and her husband, Luciano, were incredibly kind, as was Rita, our assistant, who was incredibly helpful, honestly. They gave us so much information on how to best visit the area, and made us feel like family. Speaking of breakfast, I have to say it's superb: fresh croissants of all kinds, bread, cured meats, cheese, eggs, toast, etc. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, both sweet and savory. Vending machines for coffee, barley, hot chocolate, hot water, various teas and herbal teas, juice and jam dispensers—in short, for a 3-star hotel, I think it's top notch. There's not much to say about cleanliness either; perhaps it would have been nice if the stain cover had been changed between guests, but I have to say it wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos. If we were to return to the area, this would be the first hotel I'd call. Thanks again ☺️🙏🏼

06/05/2026: Absolutely avoidable, both as a hotel and as a restaurant. The 4-cheese pasta tasted like nothing, not even cheese. The chicken was stuck on a toothpick, and I ended up with a piece in my mouth. AVOID!!!

12/06/2026: The food is average, overpriced, and the service is terrible. The desserts are good, and the dessert dueo is good.

11/06/2026: Breakfast is very good and reasonably priced, but we were disappointed in the evening. The prices were high, the portions small, and while the food tasted good, it was nothing special. It was annoying that the waiter came by every two minutes and stared at the table, so we couldn't have any peace. I'd gladly come back for breakfast, but otherwise, Fappani isn't worth the money. The location and surroundings, however, are wonderful.

31/05/2026: Excellent food. The service is very friendly and attentive. The prices are very fair. The atmosphere in the dining room is lovely. A huge menu with a wide variety of dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

24/05/2026: I made the mistake of reading these reviews after I’d already sat down. I was worried we about to have a terrible time, but I guess we had a completely different experience. It was fine. Not the best meal we had, but the food was good and the service was quick. I guess Google reviews can’t always be trusted.

20/06/2026: A small restaurant located in Pietrasanta's main square. The menu offers a wide selection of fish, meat, and pizza. We had the fish dishes, which were exquisite. The lobster pacchero, which wasn't on the menu, was truly delicious. Quick service and very friendly waiters.

29/05/2026: One of the better meals we’ve had. Standout for me was the Florentine steak and the sardines.

05/04/2026: Ugh! A typical tourist trap. Cutting corners everywhere and charging high prices as if it were top-notch = profit maximization. Vitello tonnato as a second course! A tiny portion, the sauce was pure mayonnaise from a jar, not a single caper to be found. €22. Panciotti as a second course? That was more like a first course. Parmesan from a plastic packet? Are you serious?

26/07/2026: We dined outdoors in this beautiful square, enlivened by live music from street performers, which created a romantic atmosphere. The service was good and fast. I had an eggplant parmigiana that was out of this world, so much so that I ordered seconds! The veal with tuna sauce and meatballs were also delicious. A wonderful evening. I recommend it.

20/07/2026: The pizza was a disaster. Inedible. The service was even worse. The waitress returned the order three times. Be warned.

29/04/2026: Just 10 minutes from Bussola and Principe, it's a great place to end the evening.
