14/07/2025: Its ok? It's nice to have a hidden outdoor space away from the crowds of Lucca. I think I was expecting more from the food since it was recommended by a local. I do feel sorry for other guests who had to endure our loud table as we were having a reunion. The wine was good and the service was good too. Just did not think the food was that great.

08/07/2025: Despite the beautiful garden, the food left a lot to be desired! The pasta was sauceless and the ravioli was soggy! I wouldn't go back.

29/07/2025: Breakfast at Baroni is a guarantee. The piece (whether brioche or croissant) is well-made, the pastry light and crispy just right. The coffee is good, better than in previous years, and the staff is always friendly, with a few new faces, but always smiling even when the day starts off on a rocky note.

19/05/2025: Very charming, beautiful location and a special, rustic place to stay and eat. The food is very good. We have stayed here and eaten here many times and love it. We always bring friends along and they always love it too. Very nice people.

09/05/2025: My girlfriend and I stopped here for Easter Monday lunch. The dishes served (as well as the service) were really tasty. The staff, despite having full tables and a lot of work to do, never lost their smile not even once. Very nice and approachable. We also thank you for having us at very short notice. We left (aside from being a little sad to leave that beautiful place) with some purchases that I highly recommend: Acacia honey produced by them, super good and delicate and also their very particular jams.

26/05/2025: I was a guest last night with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca, my advice is to leave the car outside as it is a ZTL area. Don't rely too much on Google Maps if you don't want to go home with a fine. The dinner includes a choice of three surprise tastings: 5, 7 or 9 courses plus dessert. We chose the last one with a cost of €150 per person, excluding wine. The menu included fish and meat dishes with a touch of genius in every single course that made the dinner very fun and satisfying, especially since we didn't know what to expect since it is a blind tasting. Compliments to the dining room staff who listened to us and followed us from the beginning to the end of the dinner, doing their job impeccably. The restaurant is also accessible to people with disabilities and is pet friendly.

26/05/2025: My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The menu includes a choice of three culinary courses, consisting of five, seven or nine plus dessert. In our case we opted for the 10-course total for a cost of €150 per person. The course winds through fish and meat dishes with different consistencies and cooking methods and combinations reinterpreted by chef Tomei. The wine list presents a great variety and different typologies with particular labels from all over the world. The dining room staff is very kind and well prepared. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca immersed in the beautiful setting of the Pfanner palace, be careful of the ZTL.

30/07/2025: A delicacy hard to describe, an incredible welcome. They welcomed us with kindness and courtesy, attentive to all our requests and offering exceptional dishes both on and off the menu. The guests I brought to dinner felt pampered, enjoyed their food, and everything happened at the perfect time. From the crispy, light fried food (worthy of the best advertising) to the perfectly cooked pasta, the aroma of these seafood dishes left us stunned. The desserts? A riot of deliciousness!

28/07/2025: Ho conosciuto questo ristorante grazie ad una coppia di amici, che hanno invitato me e mia moglie. È stata una bella scoperta: locale elegante, con tavoli ben distanziati, nessun problema di parcheggio, pesce fresco cucinato con gran rispetto. Complimenti allo chef!

23/08/2025: A great option for those who need to eat gluten-free, but also want to avoid sacrificing anything. The entire menu is also available in a gluten-free version. Fried food is superb, very dry, and plentiful.

04/08/2025: Gorgeous covered outdoor dining area and enchanting poolside tables. The welcome and service were truly excellent, courteous, and professional. The dishes were beautiful and truly delicious: I recommend the tuna tartare and octopus salad as appetizers, and all the first courses were fabulous. It's not cheap, but the prices are more than fair for the quality, generous portions, ingredients, location (in Viareggio, in Versilia, on the Terrazza della Repubblica, a quiet promenade), service, ambiance, and atmosphere. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

14/08/2025: Lovely trattoria, with typical local products. The pork butcher's platter is very good and features unique ingredients. Excellent first courses (amazing chitarrini). Fairly priced, highly recommended.

31/05/2025: The Florentine is exceptional. Excellent as at Cecchini in Panzano and Bolgheri. This is how good it is to eat at Castello di Am. The Silvietta cake is worth a taste, figs and dried fruit. EXCELLENT Star

28/06/2025: La Cucina del Giardino – highly recommended! Great wines, first-class service, and cuisine that impresses: pizza and pasta with truffles were a dream! Overall, a culinary experience of the highest caliber. I'd gladly return – if you appreciate good food, this is the place to be.

10/06/2025: Beautiful and very well-kept place, you can eat both outside and inside, large parking and excellent food from pizzas to pinsa and more ... the drinks are excellent ... and finally the staff is very friendly and kind makes you feel at ease ... 2 steps from Lucca a perfect place to spend hours in company tasting everything it offers, I recommend it and I will definitely return

17/07/2025: For my daughter's graduation party, I booked an inside table. When I arrived, the person who welcomed us told me we had the option of a table inside or outside. I asked her which one she thought was better, and she recommended the outside table. She escorted us to the table outside, carrying the menus and the cover charge. As we were choosing our courses, I heard a woman behind me, I think the owner, screaming like a madwoman. She told me, in front of dozens of people at other tables, how dare I sit at an outside table, and that the owner, as she called him, didn't agree, given the reservation. I told her the waitress had accompanied us, and she replied that it didn't matter. We had to get up with a bite of bread and change tables. A person so rude and boorish it's unbelievable... she didn't apologize for the mistake, she just yelled. I didn't want to ruin the party, otherwise I would have left. As if that weren't enough, they brought one guest the pizza first and then the appetizer. I absolutely recommend not going!!!!!

04/03/2025: I went in by chance and decided to have an ice cream – and I was satisfied. It was really good and I really liked it. Usually, in winter, when ice cream is bought less often, preservatives are added that affect its flavor. I didn't notice anything like that here: everything was fresh and natural. Price: €3.50 for 3 flavours.

21/02/2025: Ottimi prodotti, in alcuni gusti senza latte è possibile assaporare il naturale gusto, come per pistacchio, nocciola e cioccolato senza latte. Poi la cosa sorprendente è stata la gentilezza, il titolare si è tenuto il cono in mano durante il pagamento, mentre in genere ti lasciano con gelato, resto e portafogli.
