30/05/2026: A wonderfully situated little osteria with a great view and rustic, yet excellent cuisine. Prices are very reasonable. The service was incredibly friendly; we had a fantastic evening and would definitely return. Reservations are recommended on weekends!

07/05/2026: A truly delightful discovery! The pizza is simply exceptional: the stuffed pizza in particular is truly extraordinary, rich in flavor and prepared with great care. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion for what they do. But what makes the experience even more special is the welcome: the lady at the counter is incredibly kind, with a smile that truly warms the heart and makes you feel right at home. I will definitely be back, both for the pizza and for the warm and sincere service. Highly recommended!

Even after transportation, the pizza maintains an excellent consistency, a clear sign of careful preparation and precise management of temperature and cooking. The ingredients are fresh and well-balanced. There's no excess, no confusion: each element has its place and its role. The tomato is flavorful but not acidic, the mozzarella is well-measured and stringy, while the toppings add character without overpowering the pizza's basic flavor. One aspect that deserves special mention is the feeling of "artisanal care." Despite this being a takeout service through Too Good To Go, the perceived quality is that of a pizza served at your table, made with care and respect for the product. 26/04/2026: An absolutely amazing place. The views from the restaurant terrace are breathtaking. You get mountains, a blue-green lake and a hill with a medieval little town, all in one view. The food was excellent and taste like it was made by the family nonna from old family recipes. Very reasonable prices. We were there in the middle of April on a sunny day and I can't believe the place was empty. Such a hidden gem!

26/12/2025: This was our second visit, and the food was excellent. The value is excellent. The service is very friendly, and in summer, the terrace offers a splendid view of the lake and Vagli Sotto. A stroll along the lake is pleasant, but we hope the restaurant is in good condition for the summer. During high season, it's best to leave your car in one of the large parking lots.

07/06/2026: The place would also be nice... because it has a sea view and a lovely panoramic terrace. It's a real shame about the food. The portions are meager to say the least: octopus appetizer: 3 small pieces. Mixed fried fish: 2 shrimp, 1 squid, and all vegetables. Sea carbonara, which isn't actually sea carbonara, but rather saffron pasta with 2 fish. Obviously, this is also a mini portion, even though the prices aren't cheap. I went there today. It's a shame... because I'll never set foot there again. Highly not recommended!

18/05/2026: A day trip with family and friends, a group of six. Upon entering, it feels like an old tavern (the lady will tell us it was a dance hall many, many years ago). Spartan but very authentic. Mixed antipasto: cured meats, cheeses, fried polenta, fried gnocco, then self-service platter with salami and caciotta. The first courses begin: spectacular mushroom rice, homemade ravioli in four flavors (pumpkin, spinach, gorgonzola and walnuts, potato and rosemary), truly delicious. The portions were generous, we were already full and we are good eaters. The 86-year-old lady comes by to collect our plates after each course and chat. The waiter asks us if we want two cappelletti, but we can't fit any more, then he tempts us with the second courses, and we each accept a piece of pork cheek... that becomes three, it melts in the mouth, truly special. By now resigned to exploding and passing away with a smile, he offers us zuppa inglese and plum tart for dessert. We accept, and he brings us a whole zuppa inglese with a spatula and half a pan of tart. We finish with an excellent coffee. We drank water and Lambrusco. €40 for adults, €20 for children—they deserved more. They made us feel at home and spoiled, like at a Sunday lunch where two grandmothers team up. Thank you, we'll be back.

The location, overlooking a road and not particularly charming, doesn't help the atmosphere, but it's offset by other decidedly positive aspects. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and prepared with simplicity and honesty, in true osteria style: simple dishes, without any elaborate touches, yet genuine and convincing for this very reason. A cuisine that focuses on substance rather than appearance. The wine cellar is well-stocked and in keeping with the setting, while the rustic, tidy, and warm atmosphere immediately puts you at ease. The service deserves special mention: knowledgeable, attentive, and punctual, truly impeccable and capable of elevating the overall experience. The prices are fair and in line with the offerings. This restaurant is recommended for those who want to eat fresh seafood, without being pretentious but with quality and care.

12/04/2026: If you want a good pizza, this is the place. They have a wide selection of pizzas, specialty pizzas, and focaccias. I've tried several, and they've all been good. The size and ingredients are generous. If you order takeout, they're very quick. They also do home delivery. Or you can eat in on the veranda. Friendly staff.

25/02/2026: We stopped here by chance after attending the Carnival in Viareggio. What a wonderful discovery! The staff is incredibly kind, they took great care of us and our little son. They provided us with a high chair, made us a baby pizza, and were incredibly accommodating to our requests. The bathroom—almost unique—has a changing table. The pizza is really good, light, and well-cooked. We'll definitely be back!

03/05/2026: L'Orchid is a guarantee if you're craving the freshest fish. Homemade cooking without any sauces like cream (an added guarantee). The owner is frank and sincere; if you're polite, you'll be treated with kid gloves... otherwise... (and he's right, these days). His wife is in the kitchen, and in addition to delighting us with fish, she prepares amazing desserts! I returned after a few years. I used to go with my then-partner, who had work in the area, and now I wanted to bring friends. The result: we're all a little whiter, including Antonio, but the quality and friendliness have remained the same!! Oh, I forgot... super fair prices!!

26/04/2026: Terrible experience. Terrible food. Owner was "born tired." Zero desire to do anything. Mussels were old, perhaps already spoiled, because we felt sick when we got home. The menu was already sparse, and almost everything was missing. We paid too much for what we ate, and everything was strictly under the table!!!

11/10/2025: In short, I have to say that the food here is very good. The first courses in particular are very good, the meats excellent, and the desserts very delicate. If we add that the location is beautiful, the service is fast, and the staff very friendly, I can only conclude by saying, "I highly recommend it."

You eat divinely and in abundance...you spend a fortune...there's a friendly atmosphere with everyone at the table...super friendly and helpful staff...wonderful place, each room different and rich in history... Historic wines, delicious meats, local produce... What can I say? Try it and believe it... Highly recommended!!!
