The owner is frank and sincere; if you're polite, you'll be treated with kid gloves... otherwise... (and he's right, these days).
His wife is in the kitchen, and in addition to delighting us with fish, she prepares amazing desserts!
I returned after a few years. I used to go with my then-partner, who had work in the area, and now I wanted to bring friends. The result: we're all a little whiter, including Antonio, but the quality and friendliness have remained the same!!
Oh, I forgot... super fair prices!!

Welcoming place, friendly owner, really good food (I ordered tagliolini with mussels and clams and seafood salad). We stopped for lunch, reasonably priced, around €23 with water and wine. Highly recommended.

We had dinner for four and had a wonderful time. We had four appetizers (steamed mussels, seafood salad, and a seafood pan), four first courses (two gnocchi with scampi cream and the two first courses of the day), two second courses (roast octopus and roast calamari), and three desserts (a creamy rib-eye steak and two slices of apple pie with ice cream). It was a dinner that deserved an A+ because the atmosphere was that of a typical trattoria (which is hard to find these days), the food was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant because we had a wonderful time and a lovely evening. Kudos to the friendly and charming owner. If we return to Viareggio, we'll know where to go.
