11/10/2025: I've been frequenting this restaurant for years, at least a couple of times a year. Yesterday, I made a reservation over the phone for 12:15/12:20. When I arrived (at 12:15), there was no one at the front desk. The staff was eating in the dining room. I was told to wait a few minutes as they weren't ready yet. No welcome, no instructions on where to wait, no offer of anything to drink while I waited. Meanwhile, while my friends and I were waiting outside, two people arrived and were immediately seated by the staff. When we were called to come in (around 12:30), they asked me for the name of the reservation, which they didn't find on the register. At that point, given the terrible reception, we left without eating, while a kitchen worker calmly checked his cell phone on the steps outside the restaurant. I'm very sorry, but I won't be returning to this restaurant. What a shame!

03/10/2025: Pizzeria on the outskirts of Lucca; we tried the takeout pizza. The Neapolitan pizza is truly well-made and delicious, and the price is very fair. Recommended.

10/10/2025: Food was amazing and was just what a person needs to feel full for lunch. The worker there was nice, but I could tell he was stressed from being the only worker there, and was a little snippy at some people. But its understandable. Overall though, this is a place to remember.

09/10/2025: Huge sandwich menu. We had and absolutely delicious and well presented panini with prosciutto, aubergine, chicory, gorgonzola and truffle oil. Danielle was very helpful and kind. We would definitely come back if we were longer in Lucca

19/08/2025: It's not obvious from the outside, but inside everything is well-kept. The couple who welcomes us is kind and the pizzas are really good. They're made with a rolling pin for those like me who love a thin pizza. They're hand-rolled for those who want it a little thicker. I recommend this pizzeria.

01/09/2025: A magnificent and enchanting place. Not far from the evocative Calomini Hermitage, an excellent trattoria with old-world charm, excellent prices, and excellent dishes. Rich appetizers, including vegetarian options, with homemade focaccia (although a bit too compact and heavy). Many of the ingredients are homemade. Friendly and fast service. The tour concludes with a guided tour of the Hermitage, with time dedicated to meditation in the retreat cave, appreciating the silence of those caves dug way back in 1200.

11/09/2025: One of the few in Viareggio that's always open. Excellent for drinks, both aperitifs and after dinner, with a decidedly good value. As a tourist, I'd say it's a popular meeting place for locals. Just keep track of what you consume.

04/09/2025: Food quality, but they forget to say thank you and goodbye We chose this restaurant on recommendation. Good cuisine with sophisticated dishes and seasonings that enhance the dishes. However, for example, for the gnocchi with red shrimp, as you can see in my photos, the quantity of 4 shrimp was not up to par with the price of the dish. It's a shame to skimp so much on the ingredients because the dishes were very good. Other dishes, like the mixed fried fish and carpaccio, are also good. All washed down with a bottle of Prosecco Dirupo Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut (a small problem often encountered in restaurants: the presecco is not fresh enough). As for the service and staff, nothing special. Oh yes, one thing special; the bare minimum is to say thank you and goodbye to the customer when they leave after paying. So for that, instead of 4, I'll give you 2!

22/08/2025: Lots of quality choices. I bought Parmesan and Lucca pasta. The salesman and saleswoman weren't very friendly. So I didn't want to buy more.

25/09/2025: Good food, but both times we had dinner with my wife and daughter, after the first half an hour the waiters come and ask you every three minutes if you're done with dinner.. and they don't stop until you leave... We are still puzzled.. If you can eat in 20 minutes, this is the perfect restaurant for you!

18/09/2025: Incredible cafe of medium speed and perfect atmosphere, perfectly accomplishing the balance of efficient service with slow, intentional customer centred interactions that allows each guest to feel like a priority and truly welcome. Very knowledgeable. We had croissants, one cream and one pistachio, with a double latte macchiato and cappuccino. Everything was so stunning that we took some vegetable focaccia and house-made salads to go. Impressive, fresh, clean establishment. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality. Noted duly! Thank you girls.

13/08/2025: I don't frequent this store often, but on those Saturdays when I do stop by, I appreciate the quality of the pastries, the good coffee, and the fact that there are at least two people behind the counter, which streamlines service. The small space means you're always surrounded by people who want to enjoy breakfast.

14/09/2025: The quality of the products was very high. We started with a nice sampling of the appetizers on the menu (vegetarian), and then enjoyed the delicious Florentine steak, which tasted like butter. The owner was able to recommend an excellent wine to accompany the meat. The prices were fair and in line with the quality served!

30/09/2025: I've been to Pizzeria L'Oliva and can only leave a positive review. It's my favorite pizza! The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, and what immediately strikes you is the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff: always smiling, attentive, and ready to offer expert advice. The pizza is excellent, with quality ingredients and a light, digestible dough. The extra point, however, undoubtedly goes to the Cecina, which is truly special: flavorful, well-cooked, and with that irresistible texture. A place that exudes passion for good food! Definitely worth recommending and returning to! 🍕✨

09/08/2025: We don't like to leave negative reviews, but in this case we felt compelled to do so because the experience didn't live up to our expectations. Since we don't particularly favor all-you-can-eat restaurants, we always carefully choose authentic Japanese restaurants, and looking at the reviews and prices, our expectations were different. The dishes didn't justify the asking prices. To give a concrete example: the salmon trout pictured, a fish that's normally reasonably priced, cost us more than €20. That said, beyond our expectations, the service still disappointed us. The owner, who is also the only chef and waiter, has to take care of everything, resulting in long wait times. When we arrived, two tables were already occupied, and we had to wait 40 minutes for the appetizer (the one pictured) and the same amount for another course each.

03/08/2025: We found this small Asian restaurant by chance, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. It has limited seating and is very well-maintained. Good food and excellent Italian sake. What struck me most is that the owner works alone... with a wonderful sense of tranquility that permeates the air. I highly recommend this restaurant. Congratulations
