23/06/2025: A day of total peace, relaxation and fun at the Tenuta "Ruffino" in Poggio Casciano. We were guests of the Le Tre Rane restaurant, welcomed by Vittorio, accompanied by Giada and Alessio, where we were able to taste their creations. Marinated meat, citrus mayonnaise, rocket pesto and toasted pine nuts. Chickpea hummus with cooked and raw vegetables, fried courgette flowers and herb oil. Roasted aubergine-filled buttons, fresh tomato puree, goat cheese and basil cream. Sliced ​​venison, blueberry jelly and aubergine quenelle. Maremma beef fillet with grilled cardoncelli mushrooms. A beautiful visit to the cellars, the swimming pool and the apartments that make up the villa followed. We couldn't leave without buying a bottle of Modus Primo, a white Aqua di Venus and a rosé, and their excellent Vinsanto. Professionalism and courtesy also in the shop.

31/07/2025: Visitamos este encantador restaurante el día después de nuestra boda. Éramos dos parejas con nuestros bebés pequeños. La comida que pedimos era preciosa, el personal era brillante y todo el entorno era hermoso. Lamentablemente, nuestra cena fue arruinada por la mesa de al lado que parecía pensar que los niños deberían ser vistos y no escuchados. Cuando esta mesa nos dijo que lleváramos a nuestros bebés afuera porque eran fuertes (NO llorando solo haciendo ruidos que no eran más fuertes que ese grupo de personas) el gerente trató con esto excepcionalmente. Solo quería decir que estamos tan agradecidos con la forma en que usted y su personal trataron este asunto, que es un crédito para su restaurante. Y si la gente que estaba a nuestro lado está leyendo esto, entonces recuerde que puede elegir vivir una vida sin hijos, pero no puede vivir en un mundo sin hijos.

30/07/2025: Restaurant mit schöner Atmosphäre, aufgeteilt in verschiedene Räume in einem Kellergewölbe, ansprechend dekoriert und beleuchtet. Zuvorkommender Service, Speisen sehr lecker.

07/06/2025: A place managed by very professional people who have been able to give a touch to this bar that offers a service from breakfast to aperitif, very good food too if you want to eat something especially at lunch and they are supported by a great team of very good girls, polite, professional and always smiling, I recommend this cafe to everyone.

18/05/2025: It's my historic restaurant. I've been going there practically for over 30 years. When it was on Via Empolese it was called Trattoria da Osvaldo, and I remember that it was an obligatory destination for truck drivers. With this I'll let you imagine the type of cuisine and the quality/quantity of the portions, basically what perfectly embodies the phrase "typical Tuscan cuisine". The ragù has now become a "must" also for my children who I bring there periodically. Fundamentally simple dishes but like grandmothers made them on Sunday lunch. They also make delicious pizzas for takeaway too. There is no world without Il Portico!

I would like to thank Massimo and his entire staff for their courtesy and professionalism in managing an event for over 50 people, including other guests both in the hotel and in the restaurant.

21/08/2025: I'll be back to this simple yet welcoming place. Excellent pizza with a selection of various pizzas (perfect for those who wouldn't eat the whole pizza... while also limiting waste from those who don't take away the leftovers). A side note: people don't have money, but they throw away food. Round pizzas and other options, mixed fried fish, and pasta dishes. Fair prices. Reservations are best, but not mandatory, especially during the week. No parking; better to walk there from the hotel or apartment. Near the seaside promenade.

17/08/2025: Historic metro station pizzeria in Marina di Massa, right in the center. Very rustic atmosphere, with plastic chairs and tables and non-woven placemats. There's a long wait for the pizza to arrive due to takeout orders. It's best to choose your pizza toppings to avoid a selection that's unpredictable and at the discretion of the kitchen. Avoid dishes other than pizza. Reasonably priced.

30/08/2025: Very good pizza, my two-year-old daughter even explodes the soup. Young management in step with the times. I recommend the Mitch (tuna, onion, anchovies, yellow cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella).

07/09/2025: Passing through the Val d'Orcia, we stopped for a quick lunch. It feels like a tourist-oriented restaurant, and the welcome is warm and friendly. The terrace overlooking the hills is stunning. The homemade pasta is excellent, with a variety of different types, all paired with a choice of sauces. I personally tried "la bava," a cacio e pepe (a kind of cacio e pepe) that I found truly delicious. A nasty surprise at the end: outdoor seating costs €4 (!!!) per person, and only at checkout did I notice a couple of signs hanging in the main dining room advising of the need to pay extra for outdoor seating. Not a smart choice, and you feel like you've been ripped off: wouldn't it be better to charge €3 for both inside and outside? In the end, for two first courses, a side dish, and water (no wine, dessert, or coffee), we spent €45.

02/09/2025: I came here because of the views and the good reviews, but the food was a complete disappointment. The meat was served undercooked, everything was drenched in oil, and the bread was dry and stale without even basic olive oil or balsamic. The potatoes with pecorino I ordered as a side were completely burned and inedible. For the prices they charge, this was unacceptable. Definitely not worth the money or the hype.
