25/08/2025: Excellent restaurant!! Fine, high-quality cuisine. The only major flaw is the road. Getting there would destroy your car, and if you encounter a car coming from the opposite direction, you'll be in trouble. Especially at night.

27/07/2025: Off the beaten path, but undoubtedly one of the best places in Florence. The place is beautiful and the food is excellent, with truly interesting options. The service is impeccable, and the prices are fair. The only drawback is that there's no outdoor seating. We go there often.

16/07/2025: This place is the real deal in Florence. Absolutely not a tourist trap. Amazing food of all sorts. We had pizzas, pastas, salad, desserts, and appetizers. Everything was wonderful. Even the desserts. We came back a second time in a week because it was so lovely. Absolutely visit if you're in Florence!

08/08/2025: We’ve been coming to Calanova for years, and it’s never once slipped. Sometimes it’s a pleasant, lazy lunch to celebrate something, sometimes a romantic evening when the light’s just right, and sometimes for no reason at all, other than knowing it’s going to be good. It’s hard to beat the setting: tables under old cork trees, the sea right there, and that quiet elegance that doesn’t try too hard. The menu changes with the catch, but there are standouts we always look forward to: the fresh, crisp misticanza, perfectly cooked verdesca, honey-glazed octopus, paccheri with monkfish, pink grapefruit and olive powder, a tiramisù worth guarding with your life, and the caffè gourmand, which is really just permission to have dessert twice. Service is warm, switched-on and never over the top. After so many visits, the only thing that’s changed is how quickly we book the next one.

03/08/2025: Un tempo era quel che sembrava. Un bel ristorante sulla spiaggia. Poi hanno ridotto le porzioni inserito piatti improbabili adottato la ‘r’ moscia e son piu cari di Milano.

16/08/2025: The location is exceptional, but you can't choose your table, even if you book well in advance. The food was good, the service was friendly, but since there were multiple waiters, you occasionally had to ask for things again. All in all, a decent experience.

21/06/2025: La Trattoria Il Giardino è una vera istituzione a Firenze, un angolo di autenticità dove tradizione e calore si incontrano in ogni dettaglio. A rendere tutto ancora più speciale c’è Manlio, il gestore: accogliente, generoso, sempre pronto a raccontarti con passione ogni piatto e a farti sentire come un amico di vecchia data. Il menù è un inno alla cucina toscana: lo stracotto é morbido, saporito, cotto lentamente come vuole la tradizione. I pici al ragù’ sono un capolavoro, mentre la fiorentina è semplicemente perfetta: tenera, succosa e cotta alla perfezione. Ottima anche la selezione di vini, rigorosamente toscani, con proposte che esaltano ogni piatto. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è più che onesto, considerando l’eccellenza dei prodotti e l’esperienza complessiva. L’ambiente è curato ma informale, perfetto per una cena tra amici, in famiglia o anche per un’occasione romantica. Il servizio è rapido, attento e sempre con il sorriso. Chi cerca la vera cucina fiorentina, con porzioni generose, ingredienti di qualità e un’accoglienza sincera, non può non passare da Il Giardino. Grazie Manlio, tornerò presto. E porterò rinforzi!

01/08/2025: I've known this pizzeria since 1999, and it's always been top-notch. They've moved to different locations, but the essence hasn't changed. Silvio is a great pizza chef, innovator in making long, not round, pizzas and focaccias. He's a master of the "calda calda," or cecina, or farinata, as you might call it. Sonia and Nicolò are friendly, courteous, and efficient. You should try it and come back!

20/07/2025: Excellent quality. A delicious sandwich, very tasty meat and well-filled rolls. Looking at the photos alone, I could almost eat them with my eyes... it was even better at the place. The lady was super kind and attentive! I will definitely be back.

26/05/2025: The first time I went there, I thought the price was a little high, but when I saw the sandwich I changed my mind, tasty, and full of ingredients. I found it really delicious! I go back often and willingly... too bad they eliminated the one with the edible gold from the menu because it was truly spectacular!

03/07/2025: We ate some very good pizzas at the Baldaccio bar, but what impressed us even more was the friendliness of the entire team, the warm welcome, and the helpfulness of everyone, especially the young woman with the permanent smile (see photo). The prices are more than reasonable.
