Excellent restaurant, quiet location. Impeccable service. Recommended

I spent four days in Palermo, and after my first dinner here, I returned the next evening. Everything was delicious, the waiters were friendly. The octopus was good, the fish was fresh. The first courses were also good. I recommend it :)

We stumbled across Il Cambusone while exploring Palermo and are so glad we did. This family-run restaurant delivers everything you hope for when dining in Sicily – warm hospitality, friendly service, and food that is clearly prepared with love and care. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality on offer. Every dish felt authentic, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived, adding to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. If you’re visiting Palermo, especially if you’re travelling from Australia, Il Cambusone is well worth seeking out. We were lucky enough to find it by chance, but I would recommend making a reservation if possible, as places like this deserve to be popular. Highly recommended and a highlight of our time in Palermo.

The fish and seafood are exceptional, some of the best we’ve had in Sicily. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. This restaurant was recommended by our B&B host, and we returned for two dinners in a row. The food was excellent; we had both a first and second course, with very fresh fish. The portions were generous, and the service was attentive. Thanks to Alex and Tony, who were professional and friendly. The price was reasonable, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. I would gladly return.

We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. For me, it's an absolute insider tip in Palermo if you want to eat very good fish or seafood.

The food here is outstanding! We loved the Sicilian antipasti, the delicious octopus salad, the caponata, the grilled vegetables and the main dishes with fish were cooked to perfection. Tony and Alex provided great service. We were lucky and didn't have to wait, but it gets busy so there might be a wait at peak times. Highly recommend, we will definitely come back again!
