18/12/2025: My partner and I have visited the restaurant several times, and each time has been a pleasant surprise. Chef Gaetano Varco constantly creates new dishes based on his culinary imagination, and he even shared a sampling with us. On the first occasion, he personally selected our menu based on our tastes, and we were delighted. Nowadays, when we think of a restaurant that also guarantees quality with the freshest fish, we can't help but choose it.

07/11/2025: The manager is friendly and kind, the music is nice, but that's about it. The creative menu really enticed us... Maybe it's the end of the season... we ordered two appetizers, a first course, and two second courses. I'll just describe the octopus sandwich: two small pieces of toast with two tiny tentacles and mayonnaise that covers the taste of the octopus. €17... it was quite embarrassing. After trying the pasta, we stopped for the second courses, paid, and ran away.

16/09/2025: Walk up the street from Archimedes Square... look around, turn your head to the left and luck will smile on you! At the end of a pretty little courtyard, a Chiodo waits patiently for you. The welcome is warm, the service very professional, the dishes very well cooked with good local products. Thank you again for this great lunch (I forgot the stylish decor and the interesting choice of wines).

02/01/2026: Fabulous place on a little street near the center. Arancini, eggplant parmigiana, and other traditional Sicilian delicacies. Super affordable. I recommend it!

25/02/2026: Great restaurant. The food was good, both the pizzas and the different pasta dishes (3 different options: mussels, swordfish, and classic). It was just a little noisy because the walls echoed. But the staff were very pleasant.

13/10/2025: The food is very, very good. Alessandro is an excellent host. The dishes are good, well-cooked. The price is in line with the 2025 costs. It's not cheap, but it's fair. You don't feel ripped off when you leave, in fact, you think, "I ate well and enjoyed the fish dishes..."

12/10/2025: A truly exceptional place where intimacy and serenity are guaranteed by the limited seating, which also ensures high-quality service, kitchen management, and raw ingredients. All the fish is super fresh, and the entire staff is friendly, helpful, and very professional. A delicious, high-quality menu is "decanted" by the owner directly at the table, at the right price considering we're talking about fish caught practically in front of us, but with flavors that truly deserve a solid 10! The mussels are excellent, but in general everything we ate was delicious and beautifully presented. 👌🏼 We'll definitely be back.

30/01/2026: I've been to dinner several times, accompanying guests from the boat I worked on... the restaurant is worth it in every way... the view, the welcome, the professional, attentive, and friendly service... the carefully prepared dishes of an innovative cuisine that still maintains Aeolian and Sicilian traditions... the well-stocked wine cellar. You can also start the evening by booking an aperitif while admiring a spectacular sunset. The guests were enthusiastic and satisfied. We warmly thank all the staff who made our evenings relaxing and, above all, cheerful, always capable of providing a smile. PS: Book in advance... it's a very popular place.

21/10/2025: The real deal! This is the type of small local restaurant we were expecting to find all around Sicily but you really have to search outside the main tourist area. It is very simple, but everything is fresh and freshly prepared from the fish you select from the giant tray the waiter brings around, to the just baked bread (not reheated) to the homemade pastas. You will be sitting in a real neighborhood with Italians and the waiter won’t speak English but the menu is translated. If you are a foodie this is the place you’ve been looking for. Prices great and you’ll wait a bit for the food-always a good sign that’s it’s not reheated. The night before we ate at a 3x more expensive place and the fish was not only frozen but overcooked.

26/02/2026: If you are visiting Catania, you CAN’T miss this place. I can’t forget how fresh the fish was and how tasty every dish was. Everything feels as if it’s cooked by your mum, in the most traditional and generous Sicilian way of cooking, where food is a true expression of love and caring. I’m looking forward to going back to my hometown and treating myself to Catania Ruffiana!

25/12/2025: A charming place with a family atmosphere. We arrived on Christmas Day, and Mrs. Ewa welcomed us right into her home. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and for dessert, we also tried the excellent homemade cheesecake and poppy seed cake. We highly recommend it and send our best regards!

23/11/2025: So this is a home kitchen, we stopped here on our way back from Cavagrande and I am so happy we did. It was after 7pm, so we were the only ones and their 4 super friendly dogs ❤️ some selection of pasta, Sicilian foods and fishes, the old guy - probably the owner who lives there - was super kind. There are pigs in the garden, local gatto, a wonderful experience to close our wonderful day. I had tagliatelle with ragu and my girlfriend gnocchi with mushroom, they were both delicious and heartwarming like from home.
