08/08/2025: A top-quality restaurant, using only local products, from tomatoes and mozzarella for the pizzas to vegetables and oils for the other dishes. Homemade pasta is topped with premium cheeses. All this on a panoramic terrace, where the aromas of mushrooms, truffles, and the grilled meats await. The fried cassatina caps off an excellent dinner, but the cherry on top goes to Ciccio and Giusy, without whom we would have had less fun.

06/08/2025: I had dinner on Tuesday evening, a movie-like location, tranquility, pure air, the smell of the Madonie mountains, impeccable service, food for true connoisseurs, I will return without hesitation.

15/08/2025: Inspired by the excellent reviews, I came to try this focacceria, and what can I say? I was honestly a little disappointed. I tried the panino cunzato, and for €4, I honestly expected a slightly larger sandwich. And when I asked my friend from Palermo to try it, he confirmed that it was okay, but nothing more. Of course, I don't question the quality of the ingredients, because the bread was good, and even the pieces of rotisserie I saw on display were beautiful. Regarding the service, I find it really rude to show a clear preference for local customers and less attention to tourists. The price is the same. And even being rude, as happened to me (for no reason, by the way), isn't good publicity.

30/08/2025: As a Sicilian, I can tell you, "This is absolutely the best arancini I've ever eaten." Made to order, flavorful on the inside, and incredibly crunchy on the outside. Choose from a wide variety of flavors.

25/06/2025: As soon as we landed in Catania late at night, we were hungry and looking for a restaurant in the center of Catania, we stopped at this trattoria where they made us sit outside, we were welcomed with smiles and cordiality, we ate fresh fish and excellent seafood and all at very reasonable prices. Excellent experience, well done!

14/06/2025: Had dinner as a couple, a truly excellent experience. We took a raw and cooked appetizer, a first course (shrimp, basil pesto, cherry tomatoes, all fresh) recommended when ordering and a bottle of Grillo 7 terre. The staff was knowledgeable, present and precise. If I had to find a flaw in the evening: for dessert only sorbet (perhaps all the others on the menu were finished).

28/08/2025: A beautiful family-run restaurant in a charming historic town. It’s best to make a reservation. The food was simply excellent! We had a tasting of appetizers, pasta, chicken, and caprese. Everything was very tasty – we’ll be happy to come back!

25/08/2025: I tried to book at this trattoria twice, but it was like playing Russian roulette. The first time, they told me the outside tables were all booked, so they assigned me to the inside. Too bad, if it had been a cold evening, they would have thought it best to move me outside to accommodate someone else inside. Naturally, I refused. I tried again a few weeks later, well in advance: this time, they placed me outside, and even if it were freezing, I had to stay there because "they might also book the inside tables." The result? Courtesy and fairness were nonexistent. A restaurant might serve good food, but if it lacks respect and professionalism, it's just another run-of-the-mill trattoria. Crossed out with no regrets.

29/07/2025: Comfortable place, beautiful inside in winter... wonderful outside in summer with that fresh air for those who want to escape the scorching heat of the city. The owner is a wonderful person, helpful and attentive to everything. The staff is very knowledgeable, they manage every situation perfectly. I go there often year-round and have always had a great time. The pizza is excellent... but they also do other things well. I've tried it both with family and with friends... everything is always good and the service is impeccable. I absolutely recommend it. The owner is also incredibly friendly.

28/08/2025: Tried it by chance, but sometimes the random choices are the best! Everything was excellent: appetizer, first course, and if I may go wild... they outdid themselves with the second course: orange-flavored sea bass in an almond crust! Exceptional!! The dessert was also excellent, and the fresh fruit with sorbet and berry cream—a perfect pairing! Compliments for everything, including the professionalism and kindness, as well as the wine selection!

15/08/2025: We went there on August 15th, we had lunch, and in the evening we had pizza, penne with fabulous pork ragù, the meat was tender, the service was homely but very appreciated, I really recommend it

17/08/2025: A gem in a treasure chest. Charming, casual, with attention to detail, great taste, even the lighting. Excellent food, a great selection of experimental but not eccentric dishes and snacks. Two adults and two children (8 and 6), we all enjoyed an aperitif with a couple of very interesting and brilliant dishes. It's not a given that it can also satisfy a family with all their needs. Truly enjoyable. I repeat: a very pleasant location, the strong point among many other strong points.

15/08/2025: Fabulous experience! Delicious food, great value for money, and the waiters are attentive and lovely. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a little haven of peace in an interior courtyard for lunch or dinner in Ortigia!

24/06/2025: Terrific pizzas with great crust - large selection. Also pasta and burgers and good selection of beers. Lots of outdoor tables. Really excellent value. Situated on the end of the square so lively area.

18/08/2025: A simply unforgettable dinner in the heart of Ortigia! We started with a breathtaking appetizer: a fresh, flavorful, and top-quality tuna tartare, which immediately raised the bar. Then came the fried fish: crispy, light, perfectly executed, and accompanied by a truly amazing sauce. But the real spectacle came with the first courses: the shrimp and pistachio spaghetti was an explosion of flavor with every bite—sea and land came together in an embrace that was almost touching. And then... the sea urchin carbonara. Words are insane. A dish worthy of UNESCO World Heritage status, a unique and perfectly balanced combination that deserves every possible applause. The staff? Simply exceptional. The chef deserves an award, and the chef's wife was exceptionally kind, always with a sincere and welcoming smile. We left the restaurant so satisfied that we wanted to take up residence nearby, just to return more often. An experience that goes far beyond just eating: here, you can experience a passion for cooking. Highly recommended!

18/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and excellent food. Definitely worth returning. N.B.: They'll soon be changing their name from "Perle d'Ortigia" to "Osteria Illuminata," but the chef will remain the same. Highly recommended.
