Very professional and friendly staff. Good was delicious and simple. The ragu gnocchi was exceptional. The atmosphere was elegant yet typical Taormina street vibe.

What an incredible evening at Mamma Rosa! From the moment we arrived, everything about this restaurant felt special. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, with a fantastic live band playing throughout our meal, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable night in Taormina. The food was outstanding. We ordered the Taormina Pizza and the Beef Ragù Gnocchi, and both were bursting with flavour and beautifully prepared. One of the lovely surprises was being served authentic Sicilian olive oil and fresh bread before our meal – such a simple touch, but absolutely delicious and a real taste of Sicily. What really made our experience stand out, though, was the service. Sabbir looked after us so well throughout the evening. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He took the time to chat with us, answer our questions, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. As if the evening couldn’t get any better, we were treated to complimentary limoncello shots at the end of our meal – the perfect finishing touch to a truly authentic Sicilian dining experience. It’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Delicious food, wonderful hospitality, fantastic live music, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. We left with full stomachs, big smiles, and already talking about our next visit. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Taormina. Great place! So far this restaurant had the the best value for money with fresh pasta and great wines.

Food was exactly as described. Very high quality and servers were all kind. Best beef tartar we’ve had in a long time. The salt cured egg touch is absolutely exquisite coming from a fellow fermenter. It’s abundant in truffle too which is nice as sometimes they tend to be skimpy with good quality truffle. Espresso martini was also delicious. Meat was ok. Not the best as we’re Latin and like our filet’s on point.

2 stars, mainly for the service. We were not helped well. Ordered gnocchi pasta and pasta norma. I think the waiter misunderstood, because the eggplant arrived. (Maybe because pasta norma also contains eggplant?) It can happen, of course. No apologies; we had to wait a bit for the pasta to be made. So we both ate alone, otherwise my food would get cold. After that, the plates were just taken away; no one asked if everything was to our liking. We asked the bill from the lady who I think only settled the bill with people. She still had to settle another table and had forgotten about us. We had to wave again. It wasn't busy, but a lot of staff were standing still. We paid and only received a "ciao." Peculiar situation. The food, on the other hand, was very tasty.
