Unfortunately, a very underwhelming experience. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, and he truly tried his best to save the night for us with a free glass of wine, a discount, and an apology. However, it seemed like the chef was simply not checked in that night. Took more than 3 hrs to make it through the uninspiring “secret menu”.
The risotto was boring and uninspiring, the pasta was average, the onion soup was frankly disgusting, and then it was just bread and bread and bread and more bread.
They had a big party of 30–40 people, plus 3 other tables, but only 3 or 4 waiters, so everything felt off from the beginning.
Unfortunately, it was a bad night for us and not what you would expect from a place mentioned in the Michelin Guide.
Wish we could get our time back and spend the night at a good Italian restaurant.

Sicilian food with a modern and playful twist. Very much worth a visit; fair priced and knowledgeable wine connoisseur. Coming from Copenhagen, I would say this absolutely is a great Sicilian answer to our local NOMA, Kadeau and Geranium. The interior was a bit too dark and “masculine” to my taste, but it provides a fine contrast to the organic forms of the food served.

A wonderful experience!
This is our second visit to a place from the guidebook, and... one of the best.
Lots of unusual flavors, good acidity, and beautiful presentation. It was a wonderful and fun experience.
We're especially pleased that there's a vegetarian menu, which is on par with the fish menu. The service is very friendly and professional. Is there anything that could be improved? Yes. With nine courses, the experience lasts over three hours, and after two hours, the chairs are starting to look more like they're comfortable. But the food was so delicious that it was worth the inconvenience.

Last night, and for me it wasn't just dinner, but a complete sensory experience.
Let me start by saying something important:
(I'm a very particular person)
I have delicate intolerances to gluten, milk, and dairy products. I'm also extremely sensitive to flavors, textures, and balance.
For me, every detail counts, for better or for worse.
Precisely for this reason, I can say that the experience was intense and mindful.
I perceived study, research, respect for the ingredients, and great care in adapting the menu to my dietary needs without making me feel "limited," but rather valued.
The dishes were elegant, balanced, and never overdone. Each course had a clear identity and a coherence of flavors that I deeply appreciated.
I was able to savor every bite carefully, without feeling overwhelmed or compromised.
The service was attentive, professional, and never intrusive. You could sense a young but highly trained team with a clear vision.
Overall, I was very satisfied.
Sapio represents a wonderful level of dining for Catania, and I encourage the team to continue on this path!
They are offering high-quality service, with personality and character.

We chose this restaurant for our Valentine's Day dinner, and the experience was simply extraordinary.
Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail: from the refined atmosphere to the impeccable service, always present but never intrusive. Every gesture from the staff conveyed attentiveness, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
An added bonus was the chef's personal explanation of some of the dishes. Hearing the story behind each creation made the tasting experience even more engaging, allowing us to understand the research, technique, and inspiration.
The food was not only delicious, but deeply moving. Each course was a perfect balance of flavors, textures, and presentation, capable of surprising and leaving a lasting impression.
Making the evening even more magical was the presence of a live harp: an elegant and delicate accompaniment that transformed the dinner into a complete sensory experience. It was an evening we will cherish forever, not only for the extraordinary quality of the cuisine, but for the authentic emotion it gave us.

A well-designed restaurant with a very minimalist atmosphere, perhaps a little sterile and dark. Excellent, well-cooked food. Fantastic service and staff. Professional, friendly, and attentive. Some of the best staff I've ever worked with; 10 stars. Wonderful. The tasting menu is top-notch; everything is delicious and flawless. The only downsides are the grueling length of the menu (3.5 hours), the very small portions, and the price. The ingredients are of excellent quality, but they're also inexpensive compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants. You pay for the chef's creativity and skill. Regardless, I highly recommend it. A Sicilian gem.

The Michelin Guide led us here, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Eight inspiring and innovative courses paired with a delicious local wine. This was cuisine at its finest.
