19/10/2025: Walked up without booking for Sunday lunch 6 adults 4 children. Went out of their way set up some tables outside. Lovely food at very reasonable place. Family run including the 11 year old Francesco who was the consummate waiter.

12/10/2025: A true gem! Generous, high-quality dishes, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The real highlight, however, is the owner: kind, welcoming, and always ready to make you feel at home. He knows how to pamper his customers with passion and attention, making every visit a special experience. We'll definitely be back!

07/04/2026: A lovely place by the sea. I've had lunch there several times and have always been satisfied. Fair prices and good quality/quantity of fish.

24/03/2026: A spacious restaurant with a view of the Strait, but the view is limited in the cold season due to the covered roof, but we did feel a bit chilly. The two of us were immediately taken care of by the staff, and after a while, our order arrived. Appetizers, first courses, and fried food were all delicious and plentiful. I recommend the appetizer and first course menu or the appetizer and second course menu. The zeppola offered for the feast of St. Joseph was very welcome. .

23/03/2026: Yesterday, Sunday, March 22nd, I visited the Palace thanks to the exhibition I saw at Villa Zito on Sicilian jewels. The Palace is well-maintained, the staff very kind and helpful, and the services and guided tour were well-organized. A "container" of Sicilian history, and not only with its splendid library and dedicated rooms. I recommend everyone, especially Sicilians, to visit this oasis of culture to appreciate the greatness of our Sicily.

04/04/2026: We had a very good meal (pizza and scalopina) and received very friendly service. It's a small but excellent restaurant in Taormina. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

10/03/2026: A family-friendly restaurant with high-quality food and exceptional staff. The owners, a husband and wife team, are always courteous and welcoming. I've been coming here for 14 years now, and their consistent, good work is a testament to their professionalism. The icing on the cake are their homemade liqueurs, perfect for a delicious after-dinner treat. Highly recommended.

08/03/2026: Today, my wife and I had the pleasure of lunch at Trattoria Da Peppino. We ordered the half menu, consisting of appetizers and two first courses. What can I say? The place is well-kept and clean, the staff attentive and always available to answer any questions. The food was excellent. The cashier was an elderly lady, but with an enviable elegance. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you for everything.

19/03/2026: The best sweets in town, exquisite customer service, amazing coffee, reasonable prices, highly recommended. The best ice cream on the island. The best Dolcino in the world. The aranchina is one of the best I've ever tasted, if not the best. Absolutely fantastic.

10/04/2026: Pretty good, but no antipasti buffet as advertised, and the chef quoted the price of the fish of the day at €24 per person, but when it came time to pay, it was 20% more on the bill... the portions are quite small, so I'd say it's good, but poor value for money.

04/04/2026: In the vibrant heart of Palermo. Surrounded by countless places for pre- or post-dinner drinks. The restaurant's atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Excellent menu with classic local and international selections. Fast, precise service with super friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback is that they don't have a wine list; you have to choose based on the owner's suggestions. Definitely worth a try.

14/03/2026: A very warm welcome, delicious and generous portions: we chose caponata, lemon ravioli, and local-style maccheroni, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The desserts were also very good. A must-try! I highly recommend it!

20/04/2026: sad to say, but by far our worst meal here. Fish was cold and not good, even the stray cats didn’t want to eat the leftovers. Fried artichoke was cold and inedible, impossible to eat. The owners kids ran around kicking a soccer ball in and out of the restaurant the whole time and threw these spark things on the ground that made loud bangs. We didn’t have silverware or napkins and kept having to ask for basic things like that or grab them from neighboring tables. Very overpriced too. The staff is nice but would pass on the food sadly. :(

16/04/2026: A nice little cozy wine bar with a small but good food menu. Recommended. Reasonable prices.

18/01/2026: A pastry shop in the heart of a small village worth a visit. The owner is incredibly kind and the products are superb. Fresh ingredients and, above all, authentic, not at all cloying flavors. The owner kindly let us try several traditional delicacies, and we were more than satisfied with everything; the "sfoglio" (pastry rolls) were excellent, and the bocconcini (small bites) were special. Highly recommended.

06/01/2026: This afternoon we visited this delightful pastry shop in the historic center of Petralia Sottana. It was truly a delightful experience, filled with exquisite pastries and local delicacies. My heartfelt compliments to the owner, a man with old-world charm, kindness, and courtesy, who treated me to some truly unique delicacies. I hope to return with infinite pleasure!

28/12/2025: I was not that crazy about Trattoria da Mario. First of all the service was a bit strange! When we came we were told to sit whereever as it was empty but then it turned out that they just assumed that we belonged to a larger group that they were expecting. We were placed outside which was fine and as the menu is fixed, the food was served fast. We got a lot of starters and some of them were great! But in my opinion there was too much food and hence a lot of food waste. A bottle of wine was included and the red wine was just OK and served to cold in my opinion. As a main it was possible to choose between various types of meat and I had the horse. This was fine but it was the thinnest piece of meat that I have ever had. All in all, you do get a lot for the money but I prefer to go to a restaurant where you can order a la carte instead of this concept. That is on me of course - I should have done my homework before going to this place.
