Pretty good, but no antipasti buffet as advertised, and the chef quoted the price of the fish of the day at €24 per person, but when it came time to pay, it was 20% more on the bill... the portions are quite small, so I'd say it's good, but poor value for money.

In the vibrant heart of Palermo. Surrounded by countless places for pre- or post-dinner drinks. The restaurant's atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Excellent menu with classic local and international selections. Fast, precise service with super friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback is that they don't have a wine list; you have to choose based on the owner's suggestions. Definitely worth a try.

I went there and came back to taste the famous broth with tortellini, tongue and the spectacular green sauce.

From the moment we arrived in Palermo we discovered this hidden gem in the heart of Palermo and needless to say the ambiance, service and food was nothing short of amazing exceeding all expectations! From our initial meeting the staff were so very helpful due to the language barrier but went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests, we were made to feel like family so much so that for our entire stay we attended this beautiful restaurant every evening as we felt we need look no further as this is absolute perfection in all aspects, cannot highly recommend enough!

I had dinner at this historic and charming Palermo restaurant and was truly satisfied in every way. The location, with its historic feel that's evident from the moment you enter, the exquisite food, the service, and the helpful, professional staff (they even speak perfect French). If you're in Palermo, this is a must-visit. Congratulations!

The restaurant boasts an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. It's located in a touristy area, but not necessarily touristy in the sense that it's frequented not only by passing tourists but also by true Palermitans. We had dinner on March 19th, and the service was impeccable. The food was excellent, especially the pasta with sardines, and the boiled beef with saffron potatoes was exceptional. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant and intimate restaurant. Limited seating in three well-appointed rooms. The dishes are very good and carefully prepared, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had been to Palermo a few years ago and had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. Unique dishes and old recipes reimagined. Seeing Palermo on TV brought back the extraordinary flavors I'd tasted that day, and I felt compelled to share them in this review. A historic restaurant, deservedly open for over a century. We'll be back sooner or later (we live in Sardinia). In the meantime, if you can, give it a try.

We arrive without a reservation on the first truly sunny Sunday after weeks of rain. The place is packed, but a table opens up and we sit down immediately. The atmosphere is welcoming, homey, frozen in time, and for that very reason, I find it so beautiful. Warm lighting, wood, and photos that tell the story of the over a hundred years of history of this city institution, open since 1890. The menu, as it should be, emphasizes broth-based dishes and traditional fare, including tortellini, tongue, and boiled meat. We opt for a caciocavallo all'argentiera, which is delicious but would have been perfect if it had arrived a little warmer. It's also served with two first courses: ditali with fritters and ricotta, and caserecce alla glaze. I order the glaze at every osteria I visit, and I can honestly say that here I've eaten the best: flavorful, balanced, and above all, abundant in meat, whereas more often than not I've found too many potatoes and very little meat. The prices were perhaps a little high, with the bill easily approaching €50 without dessert or wine, partly due to the €3 cover charge per person (as noted elsewhere, a practice I understand but cannot agree with). Fast, friendly service, and the lady at the cashier was courteous and helpful. A positive experience in a corner of Palermo's history.
