06/03/2026: A very large group of us dined here in October before my son’s wedding in Sicily. What a fantastic experience!!! The atmosphere, the staff and the food were all amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting San Marco D’Alunzio.

02/11/2025: Service! Service was invented here! The room perfectly matches the location—not overly luxurious, but everything is there and impeccably maintained. The location? The location is truly breathtaking. For lovers of fine wines, refined breakfasts, culinary dinners, and a pool with a view: this is a place to return to. I can't wait to go back. 30/10/2025: Staff: Staff were lovely and very attentive. Room: Spacious, comfortable, nice amenities. There was a bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. Restaurant: Breakfast was great, lots of choice and it's all high quality. The wasps swarming the breakfast area was the only negative but that can't really be helped. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening, just to try it out. I had the worst steak I've ever had here, truly terrible. Prices are insanely high too Bar: We avoided the bar entirely due to the ridiculous prices. We went to the wine tasting one evening because we thought it would be something special to do in the hotel, it cost €50 per person which is crazy given the cost in other local wineries. Location: you will need a car to get everywhere, it's very remote. All in all, I was happy enough with the hotel as a place to sleep and have breakfast. I wouldn't return because it's very limiting being so remote, especially when the hotel is charging 3-4x the prices of anywhere else for food/drinks.

07/04/2026: Trattoria Monte D'oro has been a trusted name for many years, both for our important events and for Sunday lunches and Easter lunch. A rich and delicious menu, starting with a variety of exquisite traditional Sicilian appetizers, such as eggplant caponata, meatballs, sweet and sour artichokes with onions and olives, salami, cheese and olives, sweet and sour salted fish, ricotta frittatas, stuffed sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus frittatas, battered cardoons and artichokes, and stuffed eggplant. Then there are the first courses, including excellent ravioli with porcini mushroom and pistachio cream and pappardelle with brociolone ragù. Three excellent second courses, including sliced ​​brociolone, oven-roasted lamb, and grilled sausage, are served, followed by fruit and cannoli. We were even treated to some very welcome second helpings. Coffee and a liqueur to finish. Thank you, as always, for the excellent service and consistently high-quality products.

14/02/2026: This evening, my boyfriend and I ordered two sandwiches from the Glovo app. When we picked up the order, my boyfriend realized it was only one sandwich. We tried to contact the restaurant by phone, but it was still busy. My boyfriend then went to the restaurant in person, where they were told that the delivery driver had made a mistake. I understand that there could be a mistake, but no one from the staff attempted to correct the error, perhaps even giving one of the missing sandwiches. Truly unprofessional.

22/03/2026: Amazing experience at Fisharia in Catania! 🔥 Everything was delicious, but the raw fish… something spectacular 🤤 The quality was top notch, the fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. I went with my dog ​​Chopper 🐶 and we had a wonderful time, thanks in part to the super relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The area is very lively, with live music and other venues nearby, but Fisharia really stands out for the quality and attention to detail of the dishes. And the crazy thing? The prices are way below what they should be for what they offer 👏 I'll definitely be back, highly recommended! 💙

The cheeses are extraordinary, including the ricotta made from real sheep's milk, with no trace of cow's milk, as is often the case. A short detour will allow you to discover a more authentic Sicily, aside from the never-before-seen views of the Egadi Islands...

04/03/2026: Truly delightful place and attentive staff. After a long hike, we decided to make a reservation for 8:00 PM. It seemed empty, but by 8:30 PM, the place was packed. I recommend not making a reservation. We had two pizzas, and they tasted like homemade. We paid a fair price, and we'll definitely be back!

05/04/2026: We had the pleasure of trying many restaurants in Palermo during our stay, but Sesto Canto really stood out. They welcomed us with professionalism and made us feel at home. The selection of ingredients and their combinations in the dishes were excellent. We returned twice in the same week, and small but welcome changes were made to the menu. Special mention to Mrs. Rosi, who made us feel truly welcome and was very attentive to our guests' requests. A little gem: the entrée, always delicious (compliments to the chef), is on the house. In conclusion, highly recommended! We were just a little curious to know: why is the restaurant called Sesto Canto?

15/03/2026: I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great time. The atmosphere was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The French veal burger and the bouef au bourgognon were delicious. Service was quick, and the dishes were well-presented. Prices were average. Overall, I'll definitely return to try other dishes. One last thing that was very important to me was that there was no background noise despite the restaurant being full. The tables were well-spaced and there was no background music, so we could chat peacefully at the table without any difficulty. If you plan to go on a Saturday, I recommend booking a few days in advance. They only book the first 8:00 PM slot, and after that, it's on a first-come, first-served basis.

14/03/2026: Meat, pizzas, sandwiches. Nothing typically Catanian or Sicilian. Sure, something a little out of the ordinary is fine; but it felt more like a pub/steakhouse than a Catanian restaurant. Pleasant, youthful atmosphere; good service; medium-high prices.
