25/06/2025: Located in a quiet street of Via Etnea, in the center of Catania, the place is welcoming and quiet, the manager is very friendly and kind. In the 2 nights I was there, I tried different dishes, all prepared with care, tasty and with fresh and quality raw materials, very well presented! Prices slightly above average but justified by the quality offered.

01/07/2025: don't go there if you're not from the area, Sicilians. (if you don't go there it's better). take a good look at the reviews of this dump, they are all LOCAL GUIDES, local people who have pumped up this place (unfortunately I trusted them) guys I'm not Sicilian and I'm not from the area, I don't care about creating hate, but the situation had gone too far, now I'll list everything. I'm here for work and I'm giving you a hand to avoid this negative experience. let's start with the adventure normal place, booked for 8.00/8.15 pm arrived on time. they make me sit at a table of my choice for 1 place because I was alone, from when I sat down about 40/45 minutes of waiting pass, they bring me some croutons salt and oil, then they ask me what I wanted to drink, no menu. I wait again for a good 40/45/50 minutes, when a lady from the kitchen arrives and tells me (without giving me a menu) "today we have pasta alla norma, chicken breast or steak, and a side salad or spinach". I thought "well this restaurant will have a different menu every day and so it will be like this for everyone" so I took pasta alla norma chicken breast and spinach. after almost an hour, I get this pasta alla “””norma”””, it was nothing more than overcooked tomato pasta with 3/4 pieces of eggplant, in my opinion supermarket sauce, but the thing I noticed is that the locals had the menu, and the food arrived immediately and much earlier.. after this questionable first course, about 40 minutes he asked me if I had anything else, I told him “yes I had chicken and spinach” the spinach arrived first, the spinach was made up of 80% garlic, inedible, a smell that made me want to throw up, and no guys I'm not joking, I took courage and ate some.., they were inedible. after 20 minutes the chicken breasts arrived, those were also very questionable unfortunately I didn't fuck up but I was too busy thinking that maybe I should leave, but I didn't. I leave the spinach there and I left some chicken because they were tough to eat, I go to the cashier to pay and I find a lady, she asks the old lady in the kitchen "what did the boy take?" and I to help "ah if you want I'll tell you what I took" she "no don't worry it's that she knows the numbers by heart" she clearly didn't trust. truly a scandalous place, guys don't trust the 5 star reviews because in this place the food is really bad, I don't know if they treat all those strangers from their land so badly, the fact is that I've been here for 2 weeks for work, and I've always found super nice people and I've always eaten well every day/evening, this was the only place where I had this bad experience where I even felt mocked, by all the ladies who work in this restaurant. total paid 1 water 1 first 1 second and side dish €23 absolutely to avoid

18/06/2025: A true trattoria with only locals. Very family-friendly and friendly. The food (Prsce spada and Tono arosta perfect) was wonderful! Unfortunately, the house wine wasn't so great. The lady who served us was incredibly kind. We'll definitely come back for a finale.

10/07/2025: Very good restaurant, with exceptional views. Wide selection of food to choose from and very good service. Gluten free options available. The place also offers accomodation. Rooms are very nicely decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

16/06/2025: A few steps from Porta Nuova, in the heart of Marsala, Le Caserie welcomes you with the grace of simple and well-kept things. The name, in the Marsala dialect, recalls those terracotta pots in which flowers and plants are grown: a perfect image to describe the care, dedication and love with which the Sammartano family takes care of their guests. I have not personally met the chef – whom I have long admired on Facebook – but his children are the living proof that education and respect are the first form of hospitality. Our room, on the first floor, was easily reachable by elevator (which unfortunately had a slightly particular smell, but it was only one floor – nothing that ruined the experience). Large, bright, with a private bathroom and all the useful accessories: hairdryer, shower cap, soap, shower gel… And then that kind gesture that makes the difference: a free bottle of water in the mini bar. The details of the fabrics and colors recall Sicilian majolica, in an atmosphere that smells of earth and tradition. The bed? Soft as a hug. A small problem with the air conditioning was immediately resolved with promptness and courtesy: we slept in the cool and with a smile. And I thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for helping us with our luggage when, due to an electrical fault, the elevator stopped. Gestures that are unforgettable. Breakfast... a true feast for the heart and the palate! Served in the beautiful restaurant room, with homemade desserts, such as a delicious grandmother's cake with pine nuts and custard, an apple pie with dried fruit, and an irresistible chocolate cake. Nothing was missing: sweet and savory options for all tastes. The staff was sweet, attentive, always with a genuine smile. And then that internal atrium, bright and full of character, which brought my heart back to Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul in Mexico City. A blow to the heart, in a good way. 💙 At Le Caserie we felt pampered, welcomed, at home. Marsala has become a second home for us... and we can't wait to return. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. You have given us a little piece of beauty and human warmth. 💫

After a busy day of work with colleagues, we had the pleasure of having lunch at "Ristorante Vecchia Aidone" and we were nothing short of ecstatic. This restaurant, located in Via Senatore Cordova 90 in Aidone, is a true gem that undoubtedly deserves my full five stars. As soon as you cross the threshold, you are greeted by an enchanting location, cared for down to the smallest details and surprisingly spacious. The structure is spread over several levels, starting from large internal rooms that open onto a delightful covered external section, culminating in a magnificent tree-lined and lush garden, an oasis of peace where you can have lunch surrounded by greenery. The environment is designed to offer comfort and beauty, making every moment spent here a true pleasure. The owner and all the staff have proven to be impeccably professional, accompanied by contagious friendliness and rare availability. Every request was handled with a smile and attention to the customer that really makes the difference. But the real star is undoubtedly the food. The quality of the raw materials is top-notch, with carefully selected ingredients that can be perceived in every dish. The Chef himself comes to the table to present the different proposals and courses of the menu, a touch of class that adds value to the experience and demonstrates the passion and dedication to cooking. We began our gastronomic journey with a generous local and home-made appetizer, a riot of Sicilian flavors. From perfect fried foods to creative creations, to a Piacentinu cheese fondue that won everyone over. Each element of the appetizer was an invitation to discover the culinary richness of Sicily. The first courses left us speechless. Among the proposals, we tasted a fresh pasta with a white Nebrodi pork ragù, a combination of robust and refined flavors, and paccheri with saffron, delicate and enveloping. The mastery of the preparation was reflected in the consistency of the pasta and the balance of the seasonings. For the second course, the grilled steak was a triumph. Tasty, perfectly cooked to appreciate the redness of the meat inside and an irresistible crust on the outside. The quality of the meat was evident and the impeccable cooking brought out every flavor. To accompany the courses, we opted for water and a Planeta Frappato red wine, which paired magnificently with the dishes, further enriching the experience. To finish on a sweet note, the desserts were the worthy culmination of a superb meal. Each dessert is made on the spot, guaranteeing freshness and an authentic flavor. We delighted the palate with a sublime cheesecake with berries, a warm chocolate heart with a delicious cream bath and a classic but impeccable tiramisu. Finally, bitters and coffee ended this memorable lunch in style. Ristorante Vecchia Aidone is a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and high quality dining experience. We had a great time enjoying excellent food in a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back to try other dishes and enjoy an evening dinner in the charming garden.

03/07/2025: We were in Taormina for a week and visited different places. We probably had dinner and lunch here 6 times, because it can't be compared with other places. Everything was great, very tasty, high quality and the prices were very pleasant, the service was top notch! We were always complimented when we came back. We also chose this place to celebrate a birthday and didn't regret it! I highly recommend it, this place has become our favorite place in Taormina!

02/07/2025: A wonderful little pub on the sidelines, during the day only regulars, so I didn't have to wait for a table. The service was impolite, and the food was delicious. The best pizza I've ever eaten (fantasia), you can taste the fresh ingredients from the top shelf.

26/06/2025: Beautiful restaurant, with lots of space. Both indoor and outdoor tables, with a beautiful garden as a backdrop. It is located a few minutes by car from Noto. We liked it so much that in a week of vacation, we dined there three times. A special mention for the pizzas, available in various doughs and super topped. Also excellent quality meat and fish. A little expensive but worth it. Recommended!
