02/11/2025: The food was so tasty and the host offered me free water at the start of the meal and free limoncello at the end of it!

02/11/2025: 2025.11 update - we tried their regular pizza. My mother, who is not a big pizza fan, ate half of the quarter as if her life depended on it. So it was delicious as always. The staff is the same, and they served us quickly. Compared to last year, we were greeted by a slight price increase (15 eur/pizza) and a new menu. We will come again next year (we hope)! We checked out the place a few days ago because of the gluten-free sign (my wife is on a diet). Tonight was the perfect time to try it. When we went in, the place was completely empty, although we were still early here (6 pm), but according to our watch it was already time for dinner. We ordered a Gluten-Free Norma and a 4-cheese to take away. Within minutes, the tables outside were filled, guests arrived one after another, and the food was prepared, but ours was waiting for us. A few minutes later I went to the counter and we got the pizzas. Later than promised, but we didn't wait long. They asked for less than the payment, they didn't explain, I didn't ask the reason, thinking it was because of the delay. Then when we got home, I understood the reason for the guilt. Why did I give a high rating despite this (4.5 would be honest, but it can only be 4 or 5. If I gave 5 it wouldn't be fair because of what was written). 1. Because they tried to correct it immediately. 2. We probably got an extra topping for the Gluten-Free pizza. 3. The flavors were still excellent. 4. Because if you don't know what to feel for a gluten-free pizza, you'll never realize that there's no wheat in it (we hope our senses aren't deceiving us and the chef wasn't kidding)) The dough is definitely homemade, it was really good. 5. And the chef is having a good day today, because the person writing the comment likes their pasta a little burnt. The place has good music, by the way, and the waiters are very conscientious, at least that's what it seemed to us during the waiting time. So, it was a positive experience for us. We'll go back if we can.

11/11/2025: A sweet dream! This pastry shop is an absolute gem, and anyone who walks past it is missing out. Delicious pastries and small cakes at truly reasonable prices.

26/11/2025: We were there last night with a particularly important and prestigious couple. After booking through the owner Lorenzo, we sat down and immediately noticed the wonderful atmosphere and tasteful decor. The staff presented the dishes beautifully, and we enjoyed them with immense interest. Everything was delicious and of high quality. We'll be back; you're unbeatable in everything. The appetizers, first courses, and desserts were all top-notch. Compliments to the entire staff.

04/12/2025: The atmosphere is simple yet refined, quiet during the week, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. We had two pizzas and the tiramisu. Everything was delicious, and the dessert was truly exquisite! I can't wait to go back for more. A truly positive experience.

30/11/2025: We were intrigued by the online reviews and were looking for a new place to try, and we weren't disappointed. The staff and owners were very welcoming. The pizza was excellent and the prices were great. A hidden gem, I highly recommend it.

21/10/2025: The best pizza ever! It was a humid October evening (last night:) when I stepped into La Napoletana pizzeria, without much expectation. TAORMINA is a beautiful place but 100% touristic. What I tasted here... a NEBRODI pizza and another pizza with pesto... delicious! I looked around me, all tourists from different countries, of different ages and conditions! But we all ate from the same plate:)) Congratulations!

20/10/2025: I recommend visiting this restaurant! The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is great! Depending on what you want to order, the prices per person range from 10 to 30€.

08/12/2025: After being put on the list for a table of six—four adults and two girls— we waited standing for 45 minutes while those who arrived after us were seated. When we reported it, the manager's annoyed response was simply, "There are six of you." NEVER AGAIN

08/12/2025: Poor service after being listed. Those who arrived went through the whole thing with a little girl. I feel sorry for the owners, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. P.S. Be careful of the people waiting.

01/12/2025: We stayed at this property last weekend. I'll start with what I liked. The Shalai is a finely renovated late 19th-century building, elegant and welcoming. The strong points are definitely the restaurant and the kindness of the staff. It also has a spa, which, although small, is still usable and enjoyable. The downside, at least in our experience, was the rooms. We had a superior double room: nice, but not excellent value for money. Although it was reasonably spacious, the bathroom was not up to par with the rest of the property, especially since the shower curtain was dated and unhygienic, unlike even one-star hotels these days. Here's a tip for the property: the property is amazing, the staff is a plus, the spa is delightful, and the restaurant is top-notch, but please, remove those curtains.

27/10/2025: Didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner in the restaurant. Where do I start with this one? This place has a Michelin star, and, not long after you take your seat, you'll understand why. The ambience is perfect, and the staff are amazing. We went for wine pairings, and they worked flawlessly. The sommelier was not just incredibly knowledgeable about wine (as you'd expect) but also very playful and friendly. We had a few nice interactions as the meal progressed. The whole experience was perfect from end to end, and for us it set a very high bar for restaurants in Sicily. I would visit again in a heartbeat.

23/11/2025: They are always able to.accomodate us in large groups. Food is amazing (try thr umami pizza!) And service is just as good. Worth a visit!
