The best place to eat in Catania. You won't find classic dishes here, prepared according to tradition; they're slightly revisited, making each dish unique. Another important piece of information: I'm celiac, so I have a wide selection. That said, we had a parmigiana, which was out of this world. Truly delicious. Next, I, a celiac, had this seafood coppo, accompanied by sweet potatoes, which were perfect. The other person had the Mediterranean gnocchi, which were also out of this world. To top it all off, we asked for a taste of their homemade pistachio pesto, and it was out of this world. What can I say? You absolutely have to come. It's a shame I only discovered it on the last day.

A very French-style place on Via Santa Filomena, small but well-decorated. There are also a few tables outside on the street. The staff were friendly and the service was quite fast. We had pizza and sandwiches. They were good and well-seasoned. Prices were a bit steep!

Dinner in the center of Catania on a street full of little restaurants. We had caponata as an appetizer, pasta alla norma, and gnocchi with Sicilian pesto, as well as berry cheesecake. Everything was delicious!

Very welcoming place, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, wide selection of wines. Sommelier (Danilo) is always ready to recommend the right wine to pair with your dish. Congratulations, keep it up!

Trattoria Serafino I

24/05/2026: A local restaurant specializing in seafood, located just outside the historic center. Even the starter course alone is incredibly filling and delicious. A must-try when visiting Catania.
18/05/2026: Seafood dishes were fresh and well prepared. Service was a little chaotic because the place was full, but we got served promptly and correctly.
