15/11/2025: We discovered Agavòs during a motorcycle trip, and arrived at this very picturesque place. The restaurant is nestled in this valley overlooking the sea, with the Sanctuary of Tindari to the side, making it truly beautiful! A refined menu, certainly carefully planned. I would have preferred a tasting menu, because in a place like this, you expect to try a little bit of everything. The chef's entrée was truly beautiful, a pleasant surprise. We were also well advised on the wine selection. The location is well-kept, the interiors and the outdoor veranda are truly beautiful.

The dishes impressed me with their attention to detail and the exceptional quality of the ingredients, which was evident from the first bite. 26/01/2026: It's located in a place with a great view. The interior is smaller than I expected. The food is clean. But that's about it! The espresso coffee served for dessert was left in a tiny plastic container. Disappointingly... You have to pay for water separately. It's not quite up to the level of perfection others give it.

06/01/2026: The food was average, too expensive, and the first courses were poorly prepared. There was a long wait between courses. The prices were high for nothing.

15/03/2026: From the outside and the reviews, I thought it was a less touristy place, but I was wrong. Small and touristy, but poor quality. We ordered two starters, where the pasta was overcooked and tasteless, a meat-based main course, the only good thing being the good-quality cherry tomatoes, and a dessert that, at the end of the meal, was decent. The price was over €20 per person, which was excessive for the quality of the ingredients.

13/03/2026: The waiter (I think Luigi himself) was super friendly and made for a very pleasant dinner. Not only were we served very well, but the food was also really delicious! Definitely recommended!

13/03/2026: Strength lies in simplicity. Small, simple meals that taste simply excellent and are very surprising! I had a Pinsa and a kind of fried Carbonara, incredibly tasty, especially when you can sit on the sun-drenched terrace in the afternoon. The coffee tastes good and the Sicilian lemon lemonade was at least as good; forget everything from the cola-producing companies, take the local varieties. They taste much better! I have been here twice because the location is simply perfect and the food and service are amazing! Thank you for the lovely evening and the lovely afternoon!

09/02/2026: The 2 stars aren't for the food, because I've already tried it and it's very good. It's a shame I couldn't get it this time because the employees didn't want to fry the arancini because they had to heat the oil.

17/02/2026: The atmosphere is very formal, more like a restaurant than a trattoria, as is the €3 per person cover charge. The menu, however, is typically trattoria-style, simple and limited, a sign of the focus on raw ingredients. We ordered a hot appetizer with the addition of cardoons, artichokes, and sage, a first course from the menu, reginette with anchovies, and two off-menu first courses, spaghetti with red mullet and fennel, and busiate with macco and shrimp. The fried pasta was delicious, dry and crispy, and the first course with anchovies was good, but unfortunately the other two were disappointing. The busiate were topped with macco, to which five raw shrimp were added, nothing more. The result is that you eat pasta with macco and every now and then a bite with a shrimp added. The macco was missing the kick that would capture the flavor of the shrimp. The same thing happened with the spaghetti with red mullet, which lacked the unmistakable flavor of this fish that you'd expect when ordering a red mullet dish. The wine selection by the glass was excellent. It's a shame, because the many positive reviews suggest a different kind of experience.

22/03/2026: A truly authentic family-run restaurant, away from the touristy areas, but well worth a visit to try their menu. Very affordable and the whole family is incredibly attentive. I would definitely go back.

21/03/2026: A quaint trattoria opened in 1966, where you can relive the atmosphere of Catania's bygone days. Family-run, it offers home-cooked food featuring all the classic Sicilian dishes. Friendly and helpful staff, very reasonable prices. An experience you'll definitely want to repeat. Amedeo, Santa, and Antonella are truly top-notch in their customer service.

20/01/2026: Excellent experience at Pizzika Pizzeria in Mascalucia! Fast and punctual service, attentive and organized staff. Pizzika is highly recommended for those looking for gluten-free and lactose-free options, with great care and quality. The pizzas are well-leavened, light, and highly digestible, a sign of carefully selected and expertly prepared ingredients. The restaurant is new, elegant, and very clean, perfect for both a casual evening and a more relaxed dinner. Excellent value. I'll definitely be back!
