18/10/2025: I was at this delicious restaurant about a month ago. I wanted to leave a review about my extremely positive experience! The staff is friendly, the service impeccable, and they're friendly, competent, and clean. Everything is topped off with homemade first courses that respect Roman tradition, and second courses and side dishes that exceed expectations. Everything is top-notch. Congratulations! We'll be back.

20/11/2025: When you take a seat at Gemini Becky doesn't give you a menu instead she asks "what are you looking for?" I'm never sure if she wants to know about my life or what I want to drink... so I usually tell her both. She has a clairvoyant power to read your vibe and relay that to the mixologist Federico who happens to be her husband and co-owner. The whole staff is masterful and the results are the memories you'll recall on your flight home while reflecting on your favorite moments from Sardinia. Becky and Federico decided to start this bar after years of working as a power couple in the industry. When they found out they were pregnant - with twins - they decided they wanted to set an example and show their prodigy they could become anything in this world if they took risks and gave it their best. So Becky and Federico took a risk and started this bar. From your seat at the bar it hardly looks like a risk, they are naturals at creating an ambiance to remember. So stop by, take a drink or two, and make sure to introduce yourself to the staff. It might just be the highlight of your trip

The churrascaria concept offers top-quality cuts of meat, served directly at your table on a traditional spit by attentive and highly professional staff (the aprons bear the name "Asador"). Each piece of meat was cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful. ​To accompany our dinner, we chose an excellent bottle of Rocca Rubia (Carignano del Sulcis), an intense Sardinian wine that paired divinely with the bold flavors of the meat. The cocktails and the small details designed for special occasions were also noteworthy, as were the attention to detail, from the professional carving knives to the graphic details on the leather menu. ​The atmosphere of the restaurant is magical and elegant: the outdoor area, surrounded by bamboo, palm trees, and softly lit by lanterns, creates an exotic and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a summer evening. There's also a beautiful outdoor bar area, located right next to the illuminated pool, ideal for an aperitif or after-dinner drink. ​The service was impeccable and the welcome warm. 05/06/2026: When you dream of finding that one amazing restaurant while you're visiting Italy... you've found it, it's Taberna Santona. I walked in on a Friday evening not long after they opened. I'd read many great reviews and was nervous that the place would be fully booked, but to my surprise there was a choice of tables both inside and outside. All the staff spoke Italian with me and one server even kindly told me I spoke well, which I really appreciated because it means a lot to hear that from a native speaker. Everyone was pleasant, no one seemed impatient or uncaring. Tourists were treated as kindly as locals. Staff checked in a few times to see how everything was, including the owner (I think) who seemed genuinely pleased to hear that people were enjoying their food. I had the insalata normanna, which was an interesting mix of things i never would've thought to combine in one dish, but it worked very well. I thought the onion was a little overpowering but that was a minor detail. I then had the couscous Carlofortina which was also quite good. Both dishes were light yet still enough to make for a solid meal. Everyone raves about the chocolate cake, rightfully so because it was so good I got a second piece to bring with me. Get it with caramel and whipped cream. I'm not normally a caramel fan but i impulsively said yes when asked if i wanted it. this caramel tasted divine, not like it came from a jar. All the desserts are homemade too. The people seated next to me were talking about how delicious the panna cotta was. Places like these are what you'll remember months and years after your visit, and i hope to be able to come back soon. Grazie mille per tutto 😋🍽🩷

10/06/2026: Superb experience - Marino and the rest of the staff were perfect hosts, warm but relaxed, attentive but giving you space to enjoy your meal. The food was fantastic, and the attention to detail was brilliant - when my wife and I shared a dish, instead of bringing out the dish for us both to enjoy, it was split and beautifully presented across two plates. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a special experience in Cagliari. Grazie tutti!

02/06/2026: Beware of tourist traps! We absolutely cannot understand the previous, overwhelmingly positive reviews. The food here is simply overpriced and not good. They serve tiny portions, the filling of the tortelloni was an unidentifiable, dry mass, and the fish carpaccio tasted of nothing. Only the lamb was edible, albeit a bit too rare. Definitely not recommended for a high-quality gourmet evening in beautiful Cagliari. Only the service was very attentive, but unfortunately, this did not compensate for the abysmal quality of the food.

The welcome is genuine, the atmosphere exudes peace, and every detail speaks of love for the people and the land. The talented chef Salvina manages to bring not only excellent flavors to the table, but the entire soul of Sardinia, passionately showcasing the aromas, colors, and traditions of our land. Each dish tells a story of quality, care, and authenticity. In this place, you can also sense something special and difficult to explain: the presence of Fabrizio De André. It is felt in the air, in the silence, in the landscapes, and in the very soul of this corner of Sardinia that he chose to live, love, and find inspiration for some of his most beautiful songs. It is a discreet yet vibrant presence, which makes the experience even more intense and meaningful. But the value of this place also comes from the entire staff, whose professionalism, helpfulness, and genuine smiles contribute to creating a special atmosphere, where you feel welcomed and at ease from the very first moment. It's not just a restaurant or a place to stay: it's an experience made of authentic relationships, Sardinian flavors, attention to people, and love for what they do. Thanks to Salvina and all the wonderful staff for the beauty, professionalism, and humanity that are felt every time.
