05/04/2026: Too bad, everything was perfect up until the appetizer, except for the eggplant parmigiana, which...
The two first courses, one good, the gnocchi, and the other I'd call mediocre...
But when we got to our second courses, the disappointments began. The mutton was fatty, and we don't know if it could have been better, but the porceddu wasn't cooked properly, actually a bit raw, and you could tell by the rind that it wasn't Kraut. Too bad.
Service was okay.
Prices a bit high.

Luckily, we brought our own wine.
21/03/2026: I decided to go there a bit earlier, and during my three-week road trip around my beloved homeland Sardinia, this was probably my most satisfying meal. Everything was excellent—the food, the staff, and the location all came together for a truly great Sardinian experience. I’ll definitely be back.

12/04/2026: I only had a plate of culurgiones and a meat-based appetizer, both of which were plentiful...Literally out of this world! I can't wait to go back to try all the meat and fish dishes I saw, served at other tables. Truly top-notch.

26/10/2025: Best ice cream ever. Highly recommended. Chocolate with rum – sensational, goat's ricotta with honey, or salted caramel – every flavor we tried was incredibly delicious. Three scoops for €4.50. If you're in the area: this is the best gelateria I know.

01/11/2025: While passing through Baunei, this gelateria was a delightful surprise. The artisanal gelato, made with goat's milk, is truly delicious. We tried the flavors—pistachio and pomegranate cremino, blackberry, and croccantino—and we loved them.

09/04/2026: S'Antiga is a must-try in Tortolì: the atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is exceptionally friendly. We've already tried it for lunch and dinner with great satisfaction. Today we returned for aperitivo: the mixed meat and fish platter is top-notch, carefully prepared, varied, and incredibly flavorful. The cocktail is also very good. By far the best aperitivo in Ogliastra.

29/03/2026: Our guide at the Scerì nuraghe directed us here, and we had a spectacular lunch. Authentic, simple flavors expertly crafted using quality local ingredients. The house Cannonau is also worth a try. Claudio is very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is a bit hidden, so you should look for the parking lot on the side street, as parking is otherwise very limited. They have a small menu with plenty of options to suit all tastes. All the dishes are freshly prepared and exceptional. We were very happy with our visit!

On the minus side: the steak – stringy, rubbery, with a huge amount of fat, and tasteless. The pizza – average. The place has potential, but such a steak shouldn't be served to guests...

26/02/2026: During our family vacation in Sardinia this past fall, we spent time here, at Sa Iba Resort.
We were welcomed by Serena at the bar—who was so lovely and welcoming that we decided to come back for a pool/spa day.
The manager Daniele was very accommodating.
The food at the restaurant was fantastic.
Cecilia in the spa is magical!! Highly recommend getting any/all spa treatments here. Best massage of my life—no joke. And the amenities were plentiful.
Cannot wait to come visit & stay here again—sometime in the future!!

06/01/2026: Three weeks back in 2009, my wife and I were pregnant. It wasn't very busy back then, the owners (I don't know if they're the same ones) were fantastic, lots of conversation and attention to my wife. The food was fantastic. Now my son is almost 14, and sooner or later I'll stop by Janas again to show him where he spent his first holiday in Sardinia...

To put it simply: Simply fantastic!!!!
Super friendly welcome and service.
My wife and I shared a starter, a primo piatto each, and a secondo. Every course was a delight!!!
Simple local cuisine (with many locals in the restaurant), but delicious!!!
Finally, very fair prices.
