14/12/2025: Under the guise of a quick and honest takeout on our way back from Nuoro, we visited Orchidea Blu; a trio of pizzas, "and we're gentlemen." Well, the dough wasn't exactly convincing. It was generous—sure!—but maybe even a slightly thinner one would have been better. It made you feel a bit nauseous halfway through the pizza because of how thick the crust (NEVER THROW AWAY) and the center were, a bit of a shame. The toppings were decent, nothing excessive or reductive, the classic "in-between" that doesn't do any good or harm. Service was just above average, wait times were reasonable, just the right amount; the owner was a bit impatient when you took a little longer to decide what to order... Neutral atmosphere, slightly confusing entrance, passable, let's say. 3/5 overall, nothing special or extravagant, the classic modest restaurant with pros and cons. - Mat. Honest review based on current events. A future response will be accepted at the owner's discretion.

25/11/2025: Excellent restaurant in the town center, with professional and attentive staff. We enjoyed both the meat and seafood, everything fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

20/01/2026: I've had dinner at this excellent restaurant on several occasions now! And each time has been a pleasant surprise. The dishes are presented in an almost obsessive manner. Fresh ingredients are prepared with imagination and good taste, not to mention the owner, who, with extreme passion and expertise, guides you through the flavors, their provenance, and even the historical implications and connections with the tradition and culture of Sins. A culinary experience with a guaranteed sensory and emotional impact! I highly recommend it.

03/03/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance. Luckily, we had a reservation. The place was packed, mostly locals on their lunch break. Since we were passing through and had a long drive, we ordered two slices of horse meat with roast potatoes. Despite the place being packed, the wait was reasonable. Generous portions, excellent meat. Worth a return visit to try other specialties we saw being brought to other tables. The bill was reasonable.

13/11/2025: I've been frequenting Il Gelato Aresu since it opened over twenty years ago on Corso Vittorio Emanuele and after it moved to Via Monti. It's still the best gelato in Cagliari. Both classic and original flavors are made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

01/04/2026: A good Sardinian pizzeria where you can try the local take on pizza. The dough was light, well-seasoned, and easy to digest. It’s located very close to the city center, making it a convenient stop. The staff was friendly and quick with orders. A great choice for a relaxed pizza dinner.

22/03/2026: I recently ate pizza there with a dear friend, and I have to admit it was very enjoyable. Personally, I prefer pizzas with high crusts, but that's a matter of personal taste and not the owner's fault. A special mention goes to the desserts. Sublime.

06/12/2025: This restaurant serves Sardinian meat-based cuisine (they no longer serve fish, contrary to what some older online reviews suggest), refined yet simple—a very pleasant combination. The service is attentive and unobtrusive. A decent selection of quality wines. The restaurant occupies a small room with limited seating. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, thanks to the tasteful music played at just the right volume. The bill is fair, considering the excellent quality of the food. I highly recommend it.

11/12/2025: A traditional Sardinian restaurant. I suggest you try the snails and mazzamurru, a very typical dish from Sardinian peasant tradition. The staff was really nice and quick with the orders, and the prices were spot on for the quality of the food.

28/10/2025: A trattoria in the historic center of the city, nestled among narrow streets and small squares lined with shops and restaurants. We enter and sit on small, low, and not-so-comfortable wooden benches. He asks if we'd prefer to go downstairs for more comfort, but the result is the same. In fact, the downstairs space is dark and a bit oppressive. The atmosphere is dated and unkempt, especially those unhygienic plastic placemats. It's a shame, because overall, the food wasn't bad; in fact, the traditional Sardinian dishes were decent. We paid €70 for two, including an appetizer, first course, and dessert, a glass of house red wine and water, and a complimentary coffee—you be the judge. Even though the food wasn't bad, I don't think I'd return, mostly because leaving that environment and going outdoors felt like a new beginning.

18/03/2026: Lunch at Gufo Sardo was truly impeccable! I enjoyed a simply amazing sea bream, perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh. The fried fish was also exceptional: crispy, light, and not at all greasy. An experience I highly recommend to anyone who loves good food and authentic, traditional flavors. I'll definitely be back!

20/12/2025: My partner and I had dinner one evening during our holidays this year in July, and I must honestly say that I even licked my lips....the malloreddus with goat and pecorino cheese sauce were wonderful, I still dream about them....and the braised tuna Sulcitana style was equally cooked to perfection...those combinations and explosion of flavours that you don't get to try so often....truly congratulations...10 with honours

20/10/2025: We came in a group of 6. For starter we ordered mussels which some of them were spoiled (they didn't open so not so fresh). For main course: fregula with prawns was not salty, a bit bitter and dull (too little acid in the dish), dish with tuna, which was dry and overcocked, and malloreddus with goat meat which was fine, but pasta was a bit too al dente. PS. To owner reply, I don't mean to slander the restaurant, but I do live near the sea, and 1/3 mussels od mussels where Home, and fregula was just bad. I couldn't finish the dish due to bitterness and dullnes, and I am not a picky eater. To finish malloreddus dish was fine, I would order that again.
