Highly recommend Ristorante Barbagia Olbia. From the minute we stepped in the door, we were made so welcome. A beautiful restaurant with Sardinia at heart. The food is sublime. The best we had in Olbia. Locals recommended the restaurant to us and it did not disappoint. We will be back.

The best meal I had in Sardinia during my Easter week 2026 visit! I had the wild boar in a sweet/sour sauce with olives and grilled veggies, while my partner had wild boar ragu with handmade pasta. Both were delicious and the serving sizes sufficient for a second, takeaway meal. Also remarkable were the fluffy grated pecorino over sliced tomatoes as antipasti and the almond cake for dessert….followed by memorably strong fennel-based digestifs. Lovely service, too.

A pleasant surprise! Quality products, excellent traditional Sardinian food, and generous portions. The suckling pig was amazing!
Don't be fooled by the exterior, which may not reflect the restaurant's quality.

You've got to eat here. The best food of our trip. The culurgiones, the wild boar pasta, the suckling pig, everything else we had afterwards was compared to the food here and nothing was as good! Just make sure to ask for the good wine glasses. We were left with the awful old fashioned ones and only saw the nice crystal ones when we left 🥲. The room could do with a redecoration but it's all about the food here. Standout meal in Olbia.

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant: not only were the ingredients excellent, but they even made me a vegan dish by removing some ingredients without any problem.
The lady who served us was very good and kind.
The place is very nice; the only downside is the noise when it gets busy, but it was still a great experience!

We stumbled upon this place by chance. Luckily, we had a reservation. The place was packed, mostly locals on their lunch break. Since we were passing through and had a long drive, we ordered two slices of horse meat with roast potatoes. Despite the place being packed, the wait was reasonable. Generous portions, excellent meat. Worth a return visit to try other specialties we saw being brought to other tables. The bill was reasonable.
