11/08/2025: We dined four courses of a la carte, received fantastic service, very accommodating treatment of our 6yo son, and excellent wines. My favorite two dishes was the raw red prawns in sea urchin sauce and the tuna pasta in a seafood brodo with lemon. I hope the guide will consider awarding Quintessenza two stars next year.

24/08/2025: A small restaurant in the heart of the city where I return often. The cuisine is impeccable, with exceptional ravioli and risotto. The tiella barese is expertly prepared. Fish and meats are perfectly cooked and paired with classic sauces with an original twist. The staff is always helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.

03/08/2025: My wife and I attended a wedding reception yesterday, August 2nd. The venue is beautiful, with waterfalls in the park flowing between sculptures and water features featuring tasteful architectural details. There are many centuries-old olive trees scattered throughout the grounds, including in the large, secure and well-organized parking lot. The grounds are well-maintained, with beautiful furnishings and very atmospheric evening lighting. The cocktail lounge is tasteful and appropriate. The dining room is equally beautiful, with modern furnishings. As for the dishes, all were excellent and very tasty. I personally am not a fan of risotto, but the one served yesterday was delicious. The room is very large, with a central space for dancing. The restrooms are also noteworthy, and are well-maintained and clean at any time of day. The staff is very polite, kind, and attentive to the tables. Personally, it is one of the best venues I have ever visited. I recommend it!

04/08/2025: We chose this location knowing it would be a surefire success, but it exceeded all our expectations and those of all our guests. Excellent food, beautiful location, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. A special thanks goes to Damiano, who looked after us the entire evening and made us feel truly pampered.

31/07/2025: On July 26, 2025, we got married at Villa Carafa. We had never been to a wedding before, but we immediately trusted Gianfranco: a helpful, kind, and professional person whom we will never stop thanking! The wedding went beautifully! The food, service, and staff were top-notch. We had high expectations, but they were actually exceeded. At the end of the evening, we were inundated with compliments from all the guests. Follow your heart, everything will be PERFECT ❤️

24/08/2025: We've been wanting to go to Al Vecchio Forno for a while, and we finally made it during our short stay in Barletta. The location is elegant and welcoming. The entire staff was professional and friendly. We had one appetizer and two main courses, both very good and high-quality. The homemade desserts were also fabulous. We'll be back soon.

23/08/2025: Are you allergic? Don't go! At dinner with friends, we chose the house mixed appetizers and declared one of us to be allergic to nuts. The waiter, after going to the kitchen to inquire, returned and said, "All appetizers do NOT contain nuts." Unfortunately, however, as we ate, we realized the tuna had a sauce with nuts! We decided to leave immediately to monitor our allergic friend who had eaten the dish and to have easy access to emergency services if necessary. From then on, we realized the waiters didn't even know the difference between an intolerance and an allergy. The owner didn't even apologize, and when pressed, simply said "human error" and gave us the bill. Unfortunately, this was an unacceptable mistake that, if we hadn't had an antihistamine on hand and a lot of luck, could have cost us our lives. The superficiality with which something like this was handled leaves us truly bitter and frightened. We hope this report will be helpful in the future. Please be careful!

24/08/2025: Exaggerated menus, plentiful food even for gourmets, exceptional quality, and extremely friendly staff… finally, excellent value for money. We just left and we all left feeling satisfied.

17/08/2025: Simply fantastic experience! It's not the first time at this restaurant and I must say that every time is a pleasant confirmation. Very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful staff, in addition to the owner and the head waiter/chef who are always ready to satisfy customer requests! Hot and cold appetizers of seafood and meat typical of our Puglia that you can see in the photos, speak for themselves! Hot bruschetta! Made to order! Raw seafood, very clean and portions are just right. For the rest, generous portions and high quality. The only flaw is no fried food, but I think that's the strong point: there's no point in covering up the flavor of fresh fish with fried food! A grilled fish and octopus, cuttlefish and shrimp is 100,000 times better! The meat alternative is also excellent! Really good fresh pasta with shellfish! A nice portion of fruit and everything at the right price without going overboard! Excellent value for money. From appetizer to dessert! Very hot and crispy Sporcamuss! The only problem: reservations are a bit long, they're always fully booked! We waited 3 months, but it was worth it! And we've already rebooked! It has several air-conditioned rooms, so it's a great place to stay! Highly recommended! Kudos to all the staff.

12/08/2025: We had dinner at Luciano's and had a very positive experience. The staff is attentive to our every need; they even brought us a water bowl for our dog. The ingredients are top-quality and expertly prepared. A special mention goes to the lampascioni tartare. Luciano guided us through the wine selection, allowing us to taste a surprising product. I recommend this place to everyone; keep up the good work.

11/07/2025: Was recommended by a local friend and he wasn't wrong! Luciano, the owner, ran through the menu and gave specific advice to my wife who has a gluten intolerance. The staff were attentive and the food was glorious!
