21/08/2024: Without a doubt the best dining experience I have ever had in Italy, and in contention of all time. The setting of the dining area and food itself are so true to the local area. The staff were both friendly and professional from the moment you walk in the door to your departure and took pride in explaining the sources of their ingredients, which are almost entirely drawn from the local area. A landmark of Puglian cuisine, and a must stop for anyone traveling through the area!

17/08/2024: Recently relocated on a terrace with wonderful views on Trani medieval castle, the Di Gennaro family built a close to perfection fine dining Apulian experience. The restaurant is beautiful both inside and outside, refined and perfectly blended in the environment. The service was excellent, kind and friendly with invading our spaces. The restaurant had also no problem into accommodating variations on the menu proposed. But let’s come to the reason to come here, the gastronomical offer of Quintessenza is deeply rooted into the chef local background, relying on seafood and not being afraid of using staples of the regional cuisine twisting them into something more. The menu we tried was a crescendo in intensity and depth but keeping its balance all the way through from the amuses to the dessert. Personal favourites are the Tortellini and the Fusillone with a mention for the Alici fritte and the Coffee almond and lemon dessert.

27/07/2024: Culinary experience. The only useful words to describe the evening spent. Pampered from the moment we arrived, we were looked after throughout the dinner, with advice that made the evening truly perfect. It is useless to talk about the dishes: experiential and surprising, like the Amare salad which I would define as "sparkling", certainly unexpected. The first and second courses are also excellent with explosions of flavour, well-made combinations and presentations worthy of their fame. I recommend the cheese trolley which, if you are not familiar with, you can have prepared by relying on their profound knowledge of the products. The choice of wines is also tasty. The elegant and refined environment, as well as silent, acts as a glue for the whole evening. Too bad there isn't a sea view, it would have been perfect.

28/07/2024: Passing through for a Sunday lunch, never was a more appropriate choice. Cozy and well-kept environment. Pasquale is an excellent host, you can sense the passion and craft that animate his work. We left it to him: the table soon became a palette of colors and flavors that know how to nourish in the deepest sense of the term. We couldn't choose between the two first courses of the day so we tried them both. Hard to decide which was the best. Very good house red wine. Excellent value for money. Ultimately, a highly recommended place, especially for those who want to support local businesses - and who valorise local ingredients and knowledge - in a family and relaxing atmosphere, with fast and attentive service. 03/08/2024: I can only give 5 stars overall! From service to the environment! Not to mention the food: from sweet to savory, everything is truly delicious! Accurate in the presentation of the course and in its preparation! Congratulations to the chefs also for their skill in combining the ingredients, giving great satisfaction to the palate! I've been there twice for both sweet and savory breakfast: delicious! I promise to return for dinner on the splendid, very well-kept terrace above! Truly congratulations! Highly recommended 💯%!!! Definitely worth trying: you won't be disappointed!

Ci capita di prendere anche da asporto e devo dire, curato anche quello Lo chef ha veramente un'ottima mano

18/07/2024: Do you want to go out to eat, but feel at home? This is the right place. A fixed menu (don't worry, you can also choose to eat fewer things) where you can choose different traditional Tranese dishes. We are welcomed by a very kind girl who we later discover is the daughter of the cook in the kitchen. The setting is delightful, a warm atmosphere and many objects to discover during dinner. The appetizers brought were endless, including meat and vegetable dishes of all kinds. I don't want to go on, but I'll just tell you that mum cooks the zeppole one by one in a pot and not in a fryer. Being a housewife is a profession to be protected and reevaluated!

L'altra povera ragazza di 17 anni non sapeva a momenti neanche cosa fosse una bottiglia d'acqua! Peccato perché il posto è bello ma l'antipatia della figlia rovina tutto

14/08/2024: Locale a gestione familiare, marito e moglie in cucina e figlia in sala. Materie prime eccelse qualità delle pietanze discreta (i primi erano purtroppo quasi crudi, antipasti ottimi) servizio "velenoso". Figlia e titolare maleducatissimi e sbruffoni. Hanno fatto una scenata davanti ai clienti sbattendoci lo scontrino sul tavolo dopo un diverbio: abbiamo visto portare a un altro tavolo piatti non compresi nel menù (spaghetti alle vongole e cozze in saute) ma di nostro interesse e abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni. La figlia ha dato risposte seccate e indispettite oltreché confuse proponendoci un cambio ma insistendo che il nostro era già pronto (dopo un'ora d'attesa). Per rispetto a chi ha cucinato non abbiamo cambiato ma abbiamo chiesto di annullare il secondo visti i tempi eterni. (Da notare che ci aveva costretto ad ordinarlo dall'inizio per evitare i tempi lunghi di attesa, mah). Una volta consumato il primo ci hanno portato uno dei due secondi, o per meglio dire lanciato in modo seccato sul tavolo, dopo nostra contestazione. Alla fine è uscito il titolare e ci ha strappato lo scontrino in malo modo invitandoci ad andarcene come suoi ospiti. Davvero un'esperienza terribile. Anche se il cliente dovrebbe avere sempre ragione avrebbe potuto almeno informarsi sulla situazione invece di usare scortesia davanti agli altri clienti e scegliere di non farci pagare.

25/07/2024: We celebrated my daughter's first communion and it turned out to be a welcoming, clean location with pleasantly relaxing exteriors. The very fresh food, cooked in a sublime and satisfying way on the palate, pleasant in presentation and plentiful. The excellent service pampered us for the entire duration of the party to the notes of the music selected by the master DJ Tesse. What else? Nothing more. Thank you
